Vendome is a great place to come hang out and chill with your friends. Charles, the owner, is very friendly and knowledgeable about all of his alcohol collection. There is a bar area with beer on tap as well as a back area with a variety of beers in the refrigerator, wine on the shelves, and liquor bottles organized by type. My wife and I came during the Oktoberfest event. Charles had a variety of German styled beers on tap as well as someone in the back serving bratwurst. The ambiance is very relaxing, filled with a lot of people who are here to enjoy a brew. There are definitely regulars who come and they are very friendly and partaking beer sharing amongst the group. Charles allows you to purchase beers from the back and you can drink it here at the bar for a small corkage fee. Vendome often has a variety of events usually on Friday night, varying from themed events to tastings. It is a definitely fun environment to be in. Overall, we really enjoyed Vendome. Charles always has a good beer selection on tap. We will definitely return. read more

I had a few minutes to kill before meeting a friend for coffee next door, so I popped in here to check it out. I was surprised to see that inside this wine shop was a full-service wine, beer, & coffee bar with a sitting area where you can relax with a beverage and enjoy some food. A quick glance at the menu revealed that cheese, charcuterie, pizza, egg rolls, and other items are available. I was impressed with how spacious the store was. They have a broad selection of wine, beer, & spirits including some rare selections. There is also a refrigerated section in case you want to pick something up on your way to a party and a walk-in humidor. The owners Charles & Vicki are very friendly and helpful. I've ordered Vendome through Postmates before, but I have never stepped foot in here until recently! Their collection is absolutely impressive. I've been here a few times, in my pre-COVID-Chaos-life. It's a great bottle shop...this isn't at all "that neighborhood liquor store." Rather, the selection is great. Beer, wine, liquor...quite a selection. As a beer nerd, I'm pretty happy, not only with the diversity of what they have, but cooler after cooler, there's just so much there...and new releases! This isn't your warehouse liquor spot like BevMo or Total Wine, but a much more intimate bottle shop (but still with great options). I don't need a pallet drop of Coors Light, thanks! When things were different, there were tasting events, where a brewery/vineyard came, offered a free tasting, promotions, new beers/wines, etc...Love to have a drink at home, but on premises is a great option (and an interesting way to meet like-minded neighbors). These days, they've got options for you...Postmates, Drizly or you can still go in. The owners Vicki and Charles are so kind and welcoming, providing a family friendly ambiance with open floor plan. They have an expansive selection and specialty items. Very clean and they had a complimentary Gin tasting. We had our 2 children with us (1 and 5) and they enjoyed the DJ and danced a bit before we left. Great selection and service. Came by for particular bottle of bourbon and couldn't find it anywhere on line at BevMo or Total Wine. Also tried a few other stores and markets as well. While on my way to Pasadena, which is not convenient for me, i searched a few places on my way and made a few calls. First place I called was Vendome and they picked up immediately and confirmed they had the bottle I was looking for, which also happened to be the last bottle in the store and possibly whole area. He also went to check the shelf to make sure. I walked in and the bottle was there up front waiting for me and was in and out. I also happened to notice a tequila tasting event happening and they informed me of a few other weekly events in the near future. First time I went and their selection is great and Charles was super knowledgeable and helpful. It's not a huge store but has a lot of variety in beers and wine. Pros: Damn Best Coffee outside of Downtown L.A, Highland Park, Pasadena! Great craft beer selection (Heddy Topper!) as well! Beautiful space, clean restrooms! Right by metro. Lots of outlets and tables! Third wave coffee, Pour Overs, French Press, no gimmicky frappucino type drinks. Cons: Lack of food options. Not all employees are knowledgeable about coffee at times (perhaps due to staffing). A little dark. I like third wave coffee and these guys know how to make the perfect cup of coffee. Cortado/Gibraltor 4 oz, Cappucino 6.5 oz, Latte 10 oz. No gigantic bullshit Starbucks sizes, the coffee here is locally roasted and outstanding to boot. I've read the unjustified (ignorant) reviews from Jared F about getting half his coffee. Perhaps you don't understand coffee outside of Starbucks? Anyway, these guys carry Forge Coffee and have a nice espresso blend which has traditional chocolate coffee undertones and a single origin from Ethiopia which has a nice fruity mouthfeel. Bonus points for Califia Farms Almond Milk, and Oatly vegan options. They used to carry Strauss Barista milk but from what I understand, they didn't have enough traffic when they started so they made the switch to conventional. Another stupid review from Hong K about the beer that was one year old... I just had an aged beer that was over 15 years old. Unless its an IPA, it can keep well and age like fine wine. Kid friendly if you want to taste, we had our stroller. They have wine, liquor, and beer here. They had a good selection of Japanese Whisky. Prices are a lot higher than K&L for the whiskey though. The tasting bar is a good place to try wine, beer, and coffee. They have beer on draft and wine on tap. Prices are decent, not overly priced. The wine tap was pretty neat. They have bar seating and a few tables. I would have gave them a 5 star rating if it wasn't for for the fact that they charge A LOT to taste at the bar. Even though you buy a bottle from the store, they charge $3 beer and $7 wine corkage per bottle. You do not pay corkage if you buy the drink on tap. read more

A very cool new liquor store, wine shop, beer store and did I mention that they also have a cafe up front.. so it's also a coffee bar? That's an ace in my book. It's a pretty new store in the area, but as you can see it hits every box as far as liquid refreshments go! They also have I believe weekly wine, liquor etc tastings in store, where they will have some body do an exhibit and then yo ucan try their wares. They had a boutique whisky distillery from Texas come out just this Wednesday. ANd that one would Balcones whiskey (one to watch out for if you're unfamiliar with their goods). Super COOL. From what I can tell they are still building out their stock, so they can only get better. Great selection of booze, they have some rarer expressions as well and they are well priced. They're wine collection and interior are laid out nicely and their bar area gives this place lively vibes!! I was accommodated by an older gentlemen and he explained the wines from different countries and what my dad likes to drink. That same day they were preparing for their Scotch Tasting event at night.
