I've seen and heard about this place in the past and finally decided to give this place a try. My first impression when walking in was how big this place was. They've got all types of spirits (hence the name I guess), and most things are properly labeled with price points. Our main point of visiting this place though was to check out their craft beer selection, which they had a freezerful collection of it. I'm personally knocking down a star because the bottles on the shelves definitely could've used a little more dusting. We had to dust off our bottles that were from the shelves when we got home. Also, take note that their price points are a little bit higher than your average liquor store.

It has everything that you need for that special occasion. As I walked in I was a surprised at the number of refrigerated selections. They had beers, wines, and liquors. I was also surprised at the number of water, juices and specialty drinks available. Ice is available for purchase. Since I was last there they have added the number of products on the shelves that add to the flavor of a good party. Spices and various kitchen necessities are available. There's also a good selection of chips and crackers in a wide variety of sizes. I find Pat's Liquor to be more of a convenience store than when I had been there in the past, much to the advantage for people who live in the area or are visiting. It's nice that they have an attendant on duty and that they are open from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 p.m. 7 days a week. Be aware that they do not unlock the door if you arrive late. When I was there Jose, the staff member working the counter, was very helpful at pointing out some of their specialty wines and liquors that are hard to find. While the price is here are competitive the convenience factor is a definite plus. The big box stores may be nice but this is a great place to stop and pick up what you need without getting bogged down in a line of people. This location at one time was known mostly for tobacco and lottery tickets. They still sell both. When I was there there were a number of people that were both picking up and bringing in lottery tickets to check the winning numbers. While they have a small area for parking I have never had a problem finding a space in the front or alongside one of the adjacent streets. This area can be very busy at times. There is a Mexican restaurant and a ghost Kitchen nearby that also are very popular. Pat's Liquor is always worth stopping in even if it's just to pick up a lucky lottery ticket. They have had many winners in the past. I look forward to stopping in the next time I'm in the area.

However, one of my Yelp Buddies (Vienna T.) introduced me to the strawberry flavored version after having dinner at the Dal Rae Restaurant, and I was hooked! Yelper Ran C., had also mentioned that Walgreens usually stocks them, and if they're in stock, he'll grab the whole case, lol! (Yes, Amazon sells them too, but I prefer getting them in person). Alas, none of the surrounding Walgreens in my area carried them in stock. That is, until I came across Mega Liquor 4, woohoo!!! Parking: Medium size parking lot. However, they got their own dedicated spots in front since they share the lot with Papa John's Pizza, Check & Go and San Gabriel Landry (Laundromat). I actually came in here to get some mini liquor bottles (Christmas stocking stuffers). I happened to look down below where all the candies, gum and mints were stocked, and smacked dab, right in front of me were the strawberry flavored Altoids Artic mints, score!!! I ended up getting to two of them (for now, lol!). Sorry, I don't recall the price. I was too giddy to see that Mega Liquor 4 had them in stock! Service: The clerk working that day was nice and friendly. I got the items I needed and was on my way. Overall, I look forward to coming back here again for either my mints or liquor needs.
