The owner is pleasant, and so are all the employees I have ever dealt with there. I think a family owns this place as well as the gas station next door. In any case, I wanted to post a positive review for them because they are all so nice. I initially avoided the store because I judged it on its exterior and found it a little intimidating. One day years ago, one of the employees recognized me from years past. His name is Steve. This not only goes out to Steve, but it goes out to the entire staff on the floor. Shout out to the two gentlemen in the wine section. Outstanding service at Mission Wine & Spirits in Pasadena. I've known Steve for years, and he consistently goes above and beyond. I honestly thought that " they" the sales people that were somehow on commission. A couple of days ago Steve personally texted me when a new wine arrived that he knew I'd love. They've got all types of spirits (hence the name I guess), and most things are properly labeled with price points. At home, I tried it and was a little surprised by how it hit the palette. The nose and first taste was an acquired taste, but once you get past that, it was a flavorful mouthful, and it does hit you harder because of the higher alcohol content. This will take a little getting used to, but I feel in good hands as I continue to explore Chinese liquors!

At $149.99 per pound, that's unreasonable for an individual buyer. Pricing and promotions feel inconsistent and misleading. I recommend being very cautious and comparing elsewhere before buying.
