I've been coming to this store for 58 years, back when it used to be called Pronto Market. They've just always been there for me. They have a great selection of beers, wines and liquors. I'm not a drinker but their amazing selection is obvious. Good selection of candy, too. Everyone that works there is cool and low key. Anyone who gives this place a bad review already has their own issues before they ever arrived so take those with a huge grain of salt. read more

Terrible: the seller refused to give me his name, then threatened to call the police on me when I called him on his pricing shenanigans. This man tried to give me three different prices to buy a product. First it was marked $8.99. He tried to charge me $18.99. When I asked him why the mark up, I even showed him the price, he said that it was marked incorrectly. Ok, whatever. Then we come up to purchase, it now rings up as $17.17. What? It actually rings up as $14.99, w tax now it's $16 something. When I asked why the different price, he said that it was because of tax and I can just go. He then refused to sell anything to me, threatening to call the cops on me several times. Oh gosh, he just told me he called the cops while I literally am just standing outside. Now he's claiming I should just take the product and go lol no thank you. He has yelled at me three times to go (I said literally nothing to him the entire time, just responded when he yelled at me), still won't provide his name (I wonder why?). Some people might say that this man tried to steal from me and take advantage of me. If you still want to go here, fine, but watch what you pay for. This man will try to rip you off and then threaten to call the cops on you when you call him on it. Edit: he clearly didn't call the cops on me, maybe because he was up to something shady? Glad to have learned about this liquor store recently. I was recommended this place by a friend and wanted to check this out. My fiance and I have been on a craft beer kick and was excited to find out about this place as they had tons of options available here. This looks like your run of the mill liquor store, but they do offer tons of options for reasonable prices if you're looking for craft beer. They're located inside a strip mall where you'll find a Mexican restaurant and a sushi bar. I was also very surprised to find some sake that I had only tried in Japan. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a craft beer shop or even just a liquor store with some cool findings. read more

Such a great local market. Who knew this seemingly tiny little store was a beer/wine enthusiast shop. You can get so many good deals on rare or hard to find craft beers and nice wines. Lots of varieties. I even got my brother a hard to find semi expensive ($78) bottle of whiskey here. They also have cigars if you're into that, making your lungs black and polluting the environment, with a side of carcinogen. They also have daily quick grabs like milk, bread etc... Every time I've been in the guys that work there are chill and helpful. Super friendly. I can confidently recommend this store. read more

Overpriced, overhyped and deceptive. Majority of prices are not listed on any of the product. So you don't know how much you're paying a lot of the time until you ring it up. Many times the same thing I purchased has the different prices depending upon who rings it up. I also don't like that they don't have signs up regarding credit card fees. My understanding is that charging for use of a credit card is no longer allowed and/or if it is it needs to be posted. The other thing is none of the employees ever care for wearing a mask at the store. I try to support small local businesses and have shopping here for about two years now, spending about $100 a month on average. No more. Went in on the 4th of July, no employee masks, no distancing, six unmasked customers. Turned around and went to Vons, where they do all the things. Cheaper too. read more

This little liquor store has a HUGE cold case FILLED with delicious craft brews. Decent prices, too. I picked up a sixer of Flying Dog's Raging Bitch IPA for $9.99. Seriously, I spent about 30 minutes gawking at all of the great beers before I finally made my choice. They also have quite an extensive selection of bombers from The Lost Abbey, The Bruery and Avery. A friend of mine told me about this place, so I had to check it out. They have a great selection of craft beers and the prices aren't too bad. The guy at the front is very friendly and knows a lot about the beers and was able to give me a few suggestions when I wanted to try something new. This place is not the cheapest place to get liquor/beer, so if that's what you're looking for then you need to turn elsewhere. Like maybe the Rite Aid closer to Foothill/Santa Anita. What this establishment has done is fantastic in the sense of providing the consumer with one of the largest liquor, wine, and beer selections I have ever come across in my entire life at either a bar, alehouse, or restaurant let alone a liquor store. If you go into this place expecting your average liquor store prices if you plan on making average liquor store purchases, then you'll be happy because yes, their Coors, Bud Light, Corona, and other standard domestics/imports are fairly priced, but don't be intimidated by the $14 bottle of beer they have in the fridge. I come to this place treating it like a Yard House, so I expect to pay Yard House prices.... I mean, where else can you find people selling 24 ounces of Chimay, Delirium Tremens, La Fin Du Monde, Maredsous, and Lambics for under $15??? And that's just the beers! They have practically every wine, whiskey, vodka, and cognac you can think of at pretty damn good prices (Only place I can think of that would sell Hennessy XO at a lower price is the Asian Super Market). This place is a fucking GEM and the guys that work the place are awesome people who could talk beer with you all day and night if you let them and are more than happy to give you GREAT suggestions if you want to try something new. I just want to emphasize that the reason this place might be a bit pricey on some items is because of the SELECTION and QUALITY and if you don't even bother to try out all of the crazy stuff these guys have in their store, then why are you bothering to even go?!? read more

One of the best Craft Beer liquor stores in the San Gabriel Valley. Everyone that works here is very knowledgable on all kinds of beers. I came in here right as I started getting into craft beer, every time I would go in I would ask their staff questions and they would always answer with a good attitude. They have an entire aisle of fridges stocked with cold craft beer, and also have a shelf with room temperature options. They also carry some wine and a very small section with Sake. I come here about once a week and every time I get in I am greeted by whoever is working and they give me a quick run down on what's new or what their gonna be receiving soon. If you haven't been here I highly recommend you come in and at least check it out. (They also have consumables and random things you might find at markets) read more

Great place for craft beer! I just moved to the area and I came to pick up a good six pack of Mayberry ipa. I had no makeup on and lady working at night didn't want to sell me the beer because I didn't look like my ID picture. Sure I get it but after showing her multiple credit cards with the same name on my ID and pictures off my phone to say who I am, denies me of purchasing beer. Really upset smh. And also asks guy in the back for a second opinion and tells me my face looks fat in the picture of my ID. RUDE. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

Certified Market has a great selection of craft beer. The staff are very knowledgeable about different styles of beers, availability, etc. and are incredibly helpful (If you're looking for a specific beer or style, they will go out of their way to help you find that beer or an excellent example of the particular style). They also carry a wide variety of styles, from Belgian Sours (Tiliquin, Drie Fontein, Lindemans, Rodenbach) to barrel aged stouts (Mikkeler, Caldera, etc.). Another big thing about Certified... you will almost never see a hoppy beer out on the shelf for sale! When hoppy beers (IPAs, Pale Ales, etc.) are stored at room temp the hop flavor and aroma tend to oxidize quickly, resulting in a less than optimal drinking experience. Lots of places (Heres looking at you Bevmo) will stick IPAs on shelves at room temp :( Thankfully, everything I've bought from Certified has been fresh and properly stored. Awesome little find! Great selection of yummy that definitely seems curated by someone who likes good beer. Love the fact they are carrying 2 Hearted in the cans! A regular stop for me when I am on the way home from Monrovia Homebrew Supply and I have made the trip with a couple friends just to let them in on the secret. I love the fact they seem to respect the beers they stock too, no IPA back stock languishing on unrefrigerated shelves and it feels like the coolers are at just the right temp. You'd never expect from the outside that they have an AMAZING beer selection. I think they have wine and liquor too, but I didn't notice it because I was too busy staring at the WALL of beer. The sales guy (family owner?) is super knowledgeable which is nice, unfortunately he may talk your ear off if you are in a hurry. The family literally drives for hours to pick up specialty beers. I also like that I can walk my dog to the store and bring him in with me. read more

Such a gem, the beer selection is spot on, it is the best beer selection in the SGV. Their wine selection is great too. Crazy to see this variety in s "convenience store". They're really nice, they're able to give suggestions, they know their beer which shows in their inventory. They have my favorite beer which is hard to find, Kern River Brewing Company "just outstanding IPA". Don't be turned away by the prices, they're actually reasonable for craft beers, they're expensive to begin with. If you want cheap beer, get a 30 pack of tecate cans at rite aid. For good beer with taste, go to certified, and you'll get drunk off 1 high quality beer, it'll take you 5 tecates to get the same. read more
