I don't know why there's so many poor reviews but this is my favorite Ross location in the area compared to ones in El Monte, Rosemead, and Alhambra. It's clean and somewhat organized! I like their selection of stuff a lot more than other locations even though the others are bigger. The stuff isn't all messy and fallen on the floor like other locations so I like that it's not overstimulating. It can get crowded on weekends but nothing too crazy. Their parking lot is huge so there's never any trouble with parking. The cashiers are always friendly and the security always greets me when I come in and says bye when I leave. read more

I like coming to this store to browse for new items with great deals. Ross tends to have better bargain deals than TJ Max or Marshalls. I usually find a few good items at this location, however, there are definitely PROS and CONS for this location PRO: 1. large variety of clothes for men and women 2. decent luggage designs and styles CON: 1. dressing rooms are a mess (We went to the back dressing room and there was a sign that stated "closed, go to front dressing room". When we went to the front dressing rooms, there were signs that stated "closed go to the back dressing rooms". One of the worst ross you could visit. This store closes their restroom 3 hours before closing time and will say they do not have enough staff to care for the restroom. i would give it a 0 if i had to, i have loved and came to this ross for years but as of recently i have dreaded coming here. i went to this location on 6/6/25 around 10pm with one of my friends, we came to look at clothes and to try it on, there was only one fitting room available and it was the smallest one, my friend and i went in there bc we wanted to get try on clothes, buy them and go home. nothing was said because we both went in the fitting room (mind you this is something i have done before and it's never been an issue) anyways, so we hear the workers talking about us saying there is 2 people in the fitting rooms and rushing us to get out, so we sped up a little bit because maybe they wanted to be done for the day, and we grabbed the clothes and hangers of the clothes we were going to buy and put them on the rack, the security guard with the glasses then scolds us and says oh there's two of you in there? Cashier, Assoc: #539806 was very, very rude to the customers. I saw how rude she was to the customer in front of me, myself, and the customer after me! When I told her that she did not have to be rude to me, her response was she has a lot of customers! I was sooo upset and just walked away. The woman in charge of security, I guess, was as rude. When I mentioned to her my experience on my way out, her response was that she does not manage the cashier and that I should speak to management and then gave me the look! Wow and to think I shop at Ross regularly like 2-3 times a month! Please HIRE more workers/cashiers so that your employees DO NOT take it out on your customers and so that they can provide GOOD customer service. I went shopping here last night before the sales tax increase. Ross is very similar to shopping at TJ Maxx, a good place to search for bargains on apparel for women, men, and children, plus housewares, jewelry, wallets, toys, cheap dvds and other closeout items. To shop at Ross, you need to have patience and don't come here expecting to find exactly what you want each shopping trip since the stock changes very often during the week. This store may or may not have the same styles as another Ross store. This store is of course dominated with lots of women's apparel, dresses, and shoes up the middle and left of the store. The men's section is to the right side, but there are still plenty of styles of tees, shirts, and pants. The men's apparel at this Ross store is organized pretty well by size, so I can search or "bargain hunt" through the racks accordingly. I bought some nice shirts and dress pants for $11.99-$19.99, good markdown prices. However, the men's shoe selection was picked over. I did find a viable pair of dress shoes ($24.99), but I decided not to purchase because the sole was too big. Oh yes, this Ross store offers a 10 percent senior citizen discount on Tuesdays. DANG! It was Tuesday and I should've dragged my folks in here, which would've negated the high CA sales tax, J/K! She started raising her voice when I asked for a return an item not used or damaged $12.99 purchased two weeks ago, with an outside hanging two tags and a receipt that all matched. She refused to return it telling me that I used it. When I refer to the store policy. She started raising her voice and falsely accusing me. She has zero understanding of her store policy. She humiliated me in front of everybody with zero regard for her action. If you are trying to return any items, be careful because she will humiliate you and accuse you of using the item they sold as is (USED) with a stain by just putting a tag on it. She should be trained before managing the store. It's not just hanging the manager tag on employees. She should be demoted to another job that she doesn't have to deal with people because she has zero human being manners. Customer service is terrible. All workers at THIS SPECIFIC store are rude and treat customers very badly. They accuse customers of opening already opened boxes, miscalculating prices on specified items, and leaving the entirety of the store in a mess every time I go. The managers themselves also do not care for customers as well, and the experience overall is very, very bad. Definitely do not shop at this store and avoid going to it at all costs. 2.2 stars on Yelp shows how good of a store this really is. All the other ratings on Google must be lying because of how they really treat their customers when something so simple comes up that can be fixed so easily and they need 3 WORKERS to come and help with it to harass the customer instead. I am a little surprised to see how low the overall rating of this store is on yelp (at the time of this review). I like coming to Ross in general to purchase cute dresses because they always have an excellent selection of formal & casual types to choose from. Dresses that I have purchased here have at most cost me $20 ish and has dressed me perfectly for summer weddings, award ceremonies, professional conferences and even for one of my engagement photos shoots before I got married. I totally love Ross over Marshalls any day. This location here in Monrovia (in the same plaza as David's Bridal & Ortho Mattress) has a great selection of clothing, shoes and decor items. Clothes and items are clean and most aisles are clear of things on the floor (however, it can be a challenge for any store to keep up with the proper sizes of clothing aisles in the right size category if all the customers are constantly putting all of the items in random places). There are separate changing rooms here (for both men and women) and the limit to bring items into the dressing rooms is 8 items. I think the women's changing room is clean and is enough space to hang up to items to try on. There is also a full length mirror in each room so you can admire the way you look in your possibly new threads. Parking can be a challenge sometimes as the lot really isn't as big as it may appears to be. Overall, really enjoy shopping here and adding new fashionable items to my closet for less. read more

I'm more of a Marshall's fan but last night I did find some goodies here and at sweet prices. That being said, I got a Ross gc a few years ago and I still hadn't used it up until last night. The time I did go before,most of the things I purchased could be bought from many other stores. My main beef with Ross is the security guards floating around. it just makes it uncomfortable to shop! I know stores have their reasons but dangg put them undercover or something. I get the same vibe in Whole Foods but at least those guards are somewhat friendly to the guests. I've been so sick of going to the Ross in Alhambra and the one in Pasadena/Foothill, thank goodness my boyfriend decided to go buy some stuff for his place and we founded this. This Ross is located on Mountain View/Evergreen St, in the same Plaza with The Home Depot and also right next to David Bridal. I won't blame you if you miss it because you can barely find The Home Depot since it's deep inside. They seriously need a bigger sign. Just a warning, this place can be messy and disorganized, but hey, we're shopping, it's going to get messy either way. When it comes to Ross shopping, I make sure I bring my headphones because I have the patients to go through aisles to see what I like. I try not to shop that long if my boyfriend is around, because you know... guys don't like shopping. You can find pretty much everything you need for your kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. There are few random sculptures, pictures and such if you need some decoration. I find some cute things here if you dig in there. Sometimes you're lucky to find something you like without even trying. They have a selection of dresses. You can find all four seasons dresses here. If you are lucky, you could find some sexy heels to match your outfits and the same goes with nice bags/clutches. Weekdays are pretty calm here, and on the weekends, the lines can be long. I came in on a Saturday morning- BIG mistake! There were 14 customers in line and 1 cashier working! I stupidly stood in the line, noting that there was a greeter on duty and a security guard. After 20 minutes in line it was my turn t checkout, I asked the clerk why there were no cashiers, she stated that people had called in sick to work. It was interesting to note while I checked out the "sick" employees appeared at the registers. A store profits only at the POS (Point Of Sale) if no one is there to take your money profits sink. I disagree with a lot of the Yelpers here. I've been here countless times because it's the closest one to me, AND it's right across from Walmart (how perf!). I've never once had a bad experience with their products or the customer service. As you walk in, there's always someone greeting you with a smile, when I went into the changing room the older lady was extremely polite. THE ONLY NEGATIVE COMMENT I WILL STATE IN THIS REVIEW IS WTF. I understand there are no locks in the women's changing room, but nobody knocks!!! At one point I had to even stick my legs out under the door while changing, to show that I was in the changing room but the woman totally disregarded my foot and still opened my door! It happened twice to me! None of the other doors were closed, so what makes you think nobody is in the one that is closed?! While walking around the store, I noticed how nice the employees were. Even at the cashier line, the ladies there were polite and they were conversational. That was literally my only negative experience, Ross.. you need some locks in those changing rooms. I have nothing to be embarrassed about, but it gets pretty annoying when it happens more than once. I absolutely love all of their products! However today when we were checking out the Asian female with some ridiculous eyelashes was ringing us up had a nasty fucking attitude! She didn't greet us.. This is near my new place. I've been coming here to get stuff situated for my house. It's not the best one but it will have to do. They change the organization of things daily because one day I'll find the house products I need in one section and the next day, it's been moved. I mean really? One day? FYI ALL MOMS- If you are planning to have your baby sit in a shopping cart, beware that it will not be allowed inside the restroom. Even if there isn't any merchandise inside of the cart.
