To be honest with all of you, I have only heard of Burlington, seen advertisements on TV and have never been to one. Well, there is a 1st time for everything. While I was staying at the hotel across the street, I have noticed this store and always wanted to visit the store. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon just to browse and see what they had. Didn't really have anything in particular on mind. All aisles were nicely organized, stocked according to their items and the store itself was very clean along with the dressing rooms and restrooms. Got a nice welcome from 2 of their employees, security guard, and they were all kind and really wanted to help. They have items from kitchenware, to accessories, stuffed animals, handbags, shoes, clothes for kids, men and women. Also have luggage, outdoor furniture and some indoor furniture. Have swim suits for ladies, kids, juniors, toys, have beautiful decor, art work, beauty supplies and a lot of the items were on sale up to 70%. What more do people want?? Why all the bad, negative reviews?? They had couple of fitting rooms, and gender neutral restrooms. Bought few items: black jacket with thin white stripes, 2 room sprays, a nice art work made of canvas, mustard color jacket, brown Jacket, black and white print, Summer dress, a small saucer/pot, and a short cute Jeans skirt. For all that I only paid $140.00 including tax. Now, I can finally say that I have been to Burlington. It's a lot like Ross, Marshalls, Target, and TJ Max. What surprised me the most is their super long hours. Wow!! Store has been around since 2021 and I heard that this place used to be Toys R Us! The security will let you and there's so many signs that they watch over you so don't try to steal anything! Staff is limited, my son had to use the restroom and you need to ask an associate to let you in. I had to walk around to find someone and it sounds like they are short staffed. There's plenty of items on sale, some shelves are empty but some are full such as the clothes and the walkway to the registers are full of stuff! Pricing, pretty good, however, some clearance items weren't a good deal and only a few dollars off for broken or unusable things (other than clothing) such as a broken latch on a nice lunch box or a candle holder but it's cracked. I was able to find someone things I need, such as kids sandals but I was only able to find one his size (and the one I was looking for!). I also looked at the clothes, you might find that one piece at such a great price but most of the things aren't really as great. I think the walkway where there's so many merchandise to see before the registers is such a tempting challenge. I like this location. They always have new, dated clothing. The service is great and the values are phenomenal. You can get all types of things at Burlington. Prices are very reasonable. They have a lot of name brands at good prices. You can get house items clothes, shoes, cosmetics, etc for the entire family. The store is always fully stocked most of the time. read more

If you ever wondered where the dead stock from Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross go to die, it's here. What a strange store. It starts when you walk thru the front door and find yourself in a roped off containment area, I thought they were having construction and were closed to customers. Nope, the security guard has to open the barrier and allow me in. She said very nicely "It's for my and the store's safety". Not a great beginning to the shopping experience. Yes, you will find low prices here, because it's stock nobody else wants. Funny enough, I needed a coat, but hardly any to be found. So much for the 'coat' in Burlington Coat Factory. It's holiday season, so I came here to check out what they have. There is a security at the entrance letting people in and out. I guess it's a good way to keep an eye out on shoplifters. There is a lot of good stuff here - clothes, books, decor, etc, just like Ross. The only downside is the long line and only two cashiers. Hopefully, they hire more people for the holiday season. Wow... what an awful experience. I stopped by Burlington during my lunch break -- first time I've been to one in about 10 years. The store was practically empty, and there's a security lady by the door who has to remove a rope just to let people in. Weird, but okay. I walked around for a bit, didn't find anything I wanted, and when I went to leave, the same security guard asked me if my water bottle was mine. Seriously? I was just carrying my own bottle from work! It made me feel really uncomfortable and kind of accused of something for no reason. Definitely not the kind of welcome (or goodbye) that makes me want to shop here again. Customer service really matters -- and this location missed the mark completely. read more

This is one of the nicer Burlingtons I have gone to, and is the nicest one in the immediate area. I'm surprised the star-rating average is so low. Unsure when this Monrovia one opened but it looks pretty new--it's large and overall pretty organized. The selection of clothes and caps for men is pretty solid compared to that of other locations. read more

I come here frequently to walk the aisles and browse for something to buy. They have a wide selection of shoes, women's attire and kitchenware. Sort of like a large Ross store. I like coming here after work to relax and shop for gifts for my kids and friends. This store needs to improve on their fitting room and some racks were pretty messy. read more

This is a really nice Burlington with plenty of items, but the restrooms weren't working and they only have two fitting rooms open for the entire store. Just what I enjoy, having to take a 5hit while waiting to try on clothes. For the people working, they were friendly and provided good customer service. Great location too. read more

Worst Burlington in Southern California. This store is always empty and barely has any merchandise. The lady that helped me was very rude and was looking at me funny through her thick black glasses. Just came in and tried to return something. The last time I returned an item, it did not have the Burlington tag or barcode, and I did not have my receipt. The lady who helped me was so nice and helpful. She told me I did not need my receipt as long as I had used my phone # when purchasing the item. I provided my phone # and she was able to look it up. It was simple and easy. I was out of there in like 10 min. Today, I come in, and the guy tells me I need the Burlington barcode. I told him about last time and how she was able to help me. He said he could not find the item and asked the lady beside him how to look it up. She straight up tells him, "Who knows if that's even ours." Like really?!?! I CAN hear you. I told them it was, and I bought it around Christmas time because it was a present. The cashier asks me for my phone # and says my number is not coming up. At this time, I am completely lost....What do you mean my number is not coming up when all the other times I have provided the same # they can find it without any issues? I was there for like 5+ min and he kept telling me the same thing. He then said he could give me store credit and a few minutes later said nvm. He told me I had to go try to find the item in the store to see if he could scan that one and return mine. At this point, I told him to forget it, I would keep it. The $10 I would get back is not worth all that trouble. Even if I had found it, they probably would say I could not return it or get store credit. I would rather sell it on Poshmark and get more money for it. One thing I do not understand is, they ask you to join their loyalty program and I have been a member for many years. I always provide my number, especially during holidays because I buy a lot of presents here, yet I never get any rewards or anything. I do not know what that "loyalty program" is. I have asked, but all they say is that it accumulates points, but it seems like I never have any, even with all my shopping. Seeing all these negative reviews, I'm a little surprised. It was actually the best Burlington I'd say I've been to. Usually, Burlington's are notoriously a mess, like a war zone, but I was shocked at just how clean and tidy everything was. The fitting rooms (while the main one was closed) were actually very nice. Honestly this is the worst Burlington I've ever been to. I was in the area, and didn't even realize that Burlington took the place of Toys R Us. I was excited because I always find something at the one in Arcadia. Although I found a super cute ET mug and some socks, that's about all I found. The location is small for a Burlington store, not to mention it wasn't fully stocked. They seemed to have very little, and not because folks have been buying things. Additionally the line was short but took forever to get to a cashier. When I turned around it was literally about 15 folks behind me. It took about 20 minutes, just to get to a cashier. They have tons of spots for a cashier but very few working and the ones working are super slow. Sadly, I will not be back as I will continue to go to the Burlington in Arcadia. I stopped in the day they opened a couple of weeks ago. They were handing out $5 gift cards to each adult entering. Everything was nicely placed and there were lots of items to browse through. I did notice that they didn't carry Rae Dunn items, though. I was actually surprised to see Burlington take over what used to be Toys R Us. This has to be the worst Burlington Coat Factory that I have been to. About 3-4 months, I was here browsing for a white collar shirt. I found something that I like, however the fitting room is closed. Okay, no problem. Come around last week, I went inside, the fitting room is still closed! I can't believe hat a clothing store has fitting room, but the fitting room is closed. The employees weren't wearing a mask, but they closed their fitting room? Really? I get that it's due to Covid. You have masks which none of the employees were wearing. You also have Paxlovid if you get Covid. You're better going to Marshall's where it's at the same plaza where their fitting room is open. Nile, the lady who helped me, is a FIVE STAR! One star is for their supervisor (looked like she's the supervisor), a short, skinny lady with black hair and black glass. I noticed I didn't bring my wallet when I was about to pay. Nile gave me several payment options as she trying to help me. Since I don't live nearby , I was thinking maybe I can go to a different store to buy the same items. I asked her if she's able to check a specific store had them. She said she may not and double checked with a girl next to her. That girl was very nice too. She said no because different stories got different items. I was about to leave, the supervisor came and asked what happened. Nile asked her if they are able to check other store's stock. She turned to me with attitude saying "No we can't. Everyone is busy! She was so rude to her employees and staff. She needs to learn how to communicate with her staff and treat them with respect, especially out on the sales floor. This burlington has the WORST employees I'm convinced they just hire anyone who applies. They don't know what they are doing and the lack of customer service is insane. I keep trying to give this location a chance since it's the closest to my house but i honestly prefer the one in covina. I had someone over charge me once and i came back to get my money back for a big lady who's an employee tell me "we have to check our cameras" when i had my receipt in hand. My second bad experience was getting told the restrooms are closed (i come here at night because of my schedule was an hour before closing and my daughter had to use the restroom) i asked the security she said sorry the restrooms are not working at the moment i was curious since i seen another person use it not even 15 minutes prior and there wasn't a note on the door so i said can you please open the mens restroom my daughter cannot hold it anymore & she says sorry mam they are both flooded ? I told her how rude of you shes a 3 year old i would think you'd understand if you have kids. She just continued to say "sorry they are closed now" I just left everything in my basket & left I've spent THOUSANDS at this store in specific now i don't go here i prefer other places just because of the lack of good service FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS.
