I told myself to make sure I wrote a review today because great customer service is hard to come by! Especially on two separate occasions! She is very patient and helpful, gave me some great feedback and is so genuine. During the holiday season helping customers can be exhausting and overwhelming, but Christina being attentive in her role is just a clear indicator it's who she is naturally. He asked whether we were looking for anything in particular and immediately offered to assist. My wife explained that we were just browsing, but also said that we might be interested in a lite weight sneaker for me. Dylan explained that there were several good options in different brands and offered to assist. He was so nice and helpful that we agreed to see what's available. Long story short, Dylan took the time to show us several different brands and types, then worked with us on size, width, styles and colors. We inquired about the availability of Velcro as opposed to standard laces. In response he showed us a special shoe lace that quickly secures a sneaker with minimal effort. Dick's has such a wide ranging selection of sneakers which had previously discouraged us from taking time to sort through all of the many options. If not for Dylan's friendly and professional assistance this would likely have been just another fast pass through the department. We very much appreciated his assistance without a hard sell or feeling any pressure to make a final decision or immediate purchase. We purchased New Balance sneakers, Lock Laces and a tee shirt. Their prices are very reasonable (as long as the item isn't opened or broken), and they still have some options of things you might look for. However they do have questionable priced items such as furniture with designs that seems out of place and might break on impact that cost the same as a more higher quality and simple designed ones (probably the unique design makes it priced higher?). Clothes, handbags, and shoes are always plentiful, sometimes shoes are all over the floor because customers don't put them back. There are also clothes on the floor. Handbags are not organized well but they do have a lot of variety! Can't blame the mess on the staff, staff seemed busy checking out the huge line I keep seeing when I come here. I keep seeing customers leaving items anywhere near the register line when they don't want it anymore.

Just like the Bargain Box and Huntington Collection, I can't call the Treasure Fair a thrift shop since it's not like a typical thrift shop, but more like second-hand boutique. You can tell that the volunteers take the time to highlight the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the treasures for sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. There's also a pretty good selection of clothing for all ages. The Treasure Fair is a nonprofit managed by the Assistance League of Pasadena, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a very small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open four days a week, Wednesdays thru Saturdays, from 11am to 2pm. Plan to check out The Treasure Fair to give much needed treasures a new. home.

So I booked it over here to check it out. Books were conveniently located right by the door, so I browsed my way through them before tackling the rest of the store. They had their Christmas items displayed by the door and near the cashier as well and then the rest of the store had mostly furniture and household items with a boutique in the back and other clothes items. Not really my kind of thrift store since it felt like they had really nicer, higher quality items that you wouldn't find at a Goodwill, which isn't a bad thing. I was just surprised that they didn't take cash since I usually encounter cash only places here and there, but not strictly card only. Glad I got to check this off of my list of places to go.
