It's a nice clean, plenty of styles to choose from, and pretty cool feet scanner. The scanner lets you know if you have two left feet or if your feet have widened and if one is larger than the other, which I found out was very possible. If you're familiar with industrial wear, you'll know Red Wing boots are the best in it's class. It's a brand that's been around for over century. Red Wing produces two lines, one for industrial wear and another for casual wear. Most of Red Wing shoe and boot components are mostly made in the US and hand sewn here as well. The leather and soles are quite durable. Comfort is huge factor in choosing boots especially for those who work outdoors. I'm on the field daily but regularly do go out. When I was in college during the summers many years ago, I worked in the field and bought my first pair from Kmart for $20. Worse pair of boots ever. Blisters and bleeding weren't worth it. Wearing Red Wings is a different story. It's comfort and durability. I've had other brands that don't stand up as well. I do have a set of construction boots which are as comfortable as it gets with boots. Soles are arched and the leather is soft but durable. If you purchase your boots from a corporate store, they'll register you so that you can come in monthly to get your boots cleaned and oiled. Oiling will make your boots watertight. The bottom soles can be replaced for $100. Boots can last for years. I've heard of some lasting 6 to 10 years with proper sole replacement and leather conditioning. Red Wing's casual wear is called Heritage. I also have a pair that I use for daily wear. It's the same style that the postman used to wear in the 1950's. Shiny black shoes with Goodyear soles and chaparral leather. The same leather used in old Ford trucks. After a year and a half of daily use, the leather is still pristine and shiny. I just need to resole the bottoms. The Pasadena located on Colorado a few miles east of Lake is corporate store. Red Wings carries quite a number of models of boots and shoes but this location only carries the popular models. Red Wings also has a few other lines Irish Setter and Vasque, one for hunting and the other for hiking. Service here is very helpful. They know their products here and understand boots required for the different industries. Definitely worth the investment and support for Buy America. read more

Red Wings Pasadena website says they are open Saturdays 10 am to 6 pm. I drove to Pasadena intending to purchase a $330 pair of boots. I walked into the store and was immediately asked to leave. They told me Covid requirements allow only 2 customers at a time; they were not especially friendly about telling me to leave. I stepped outside and a nice young lady stood in the doorway and said "We are actually closed." Turns out they close at 5 pm despite what the website says. She asked if she could help me. I told her I want to look at the boots in the store, but I was not allowed in. She was quite polite and apologetic but that did not help. I described as best I could the boot I was interested in. She brought one out and showed it to me. It looked like what I wanted, but I WAS STANDING OUTSIDE ON THE SIDEWALK AND WAS NOT ALLOWED TO COME INTO THE STORE! Two customers left as we were talking but I still was not invited into the store. I thanked her and told her I might come back another time. The management of this store must not care about selling their product to customers who show up intending to buy. As much as I wanted Red Wings I am considering another brand based on this experience. read more

The quality of the boots maybe great, but their customer service is HORRIBLE! It's inexcusable to spend $160 on boots, and have them be over 2 weeks delayed. Boots needed to be transferred from another store; should arrived within a couple days. Fine. A whole week passed, no phone call. Come to find out, the first store never shipped them. Ok, shoes will be here on Monday. My hubby goes to pick them Up Monday...."sorry, we can't find them in the store." REALLY!? Who conducts business this way. That might sound like a given, but the staff went above and beyond. They corrected a miscommunication - totally a mistake on my part on a size issue and me not realizing that I needed another fit - and the staff took mercy on me. I've been wanting a pair of Red Wing Iron Rangers for years but could never bite the bullet on the price. I don't really buy expensive clothing or footwear so the price tag has always kept me away. But I've been wanting a pair of quality boots and I finally bit the bullet. Marcus was extremely nice and helpful. From the time I got in, to the time I left, I felt like I was treated like a true customer. He help me fit the boots, had me walk around in the store with them, then grabbed me a fresh pair from the back to purchase. I was fine taking the ones I had originally tried on, but he said that they've already been tried on and he'd like me to have boots that break in and crease from only my walking. I got the Copper Rough & Tough color which crease and distress over time with wear. He wanted those markings to be mine. I really appreciated the care he had for his customers. First time red winger here They start by asking you to step on a foot scanner to get the fit exactly right. You heard me -- they have a robot that literally scans your foot for the perfect size.... looked like an ultrasound (but for feet)... so that helps. They round out the experience with great product knowledge and down to earth service -- Rich and Marcus helped me out. Really friendly, no-pressure service and went the extra yard to explain how they should fit. Style points for knowing their stuff on heritage jeans! Walked out with some Iron rangers. Always wanted a pair of these boots but was told I would be much better off going in person to a Red Wing store. From the moment I walked in, Rich was all ears to what I was looking for. After carefully measuring my feet using an advanced electronic foot measurement device, Rich recommended a pair of black high top boots from their heritage collection. It was like he read my mind as I put them on and walked around a bit, knowing full well this was the pair I was going home with. I was given a set of instructions for breaking them in, follow up care, as well as the services Red Wings offers to its customers. Two months later and my boots are nicely broken in and I couldn't be happier. Although there are Red Wings stores closer to where I live, I'd gladly make the drive to Pasadena again to have Rich service them personally. He's a great guy, very knowledgeable about what he sells and doesn't believe in the hard sell. I spent $350 on a pair of boots and then talked to the sales guy about how often they needed to be Resoled. He said it's based on how often you wear them but most likely a year or a year and a half. I then asked how much it was to resole and he said "$55 ish" which I thought was beyond reasonable. 3 1/2 months later my boots are worn down to where they are not wearable and when I got to the store they told me it was going to be 2 months and $155 to fix. So In a year I can wear them 7-8 months because the other 4 months they will be getting resoled. And at 155 each time I'm looking at $310 a year to wear used boots. Save your money! Look these boots are very comfortable and the quality is good but it's not $710 the first year good. Rephrase that $710 the first 8 months because I forgot to factor the time to get the work done. read more

A lot of the red wing company is making their boots over seas.. So always check the tounge of the boot... Don't assume... Usually any USA made red wing shoe /boot will be the highest price... But it can usually be rebuilt and will last a lot longer! Take care of your boot and it'll take care of you. After attempting to order from Amazon (wrong size), I went to the Pasadena location to find the right fit for the shoes I wanted. Francis was very friendly and knowledgeable. No hard sell. Just straight forward information. I decided to order the shoes I wanted after being fitted. I could have turned around and bought on ebay or Amazon to get the shoes sooner, but the prices in the store were similar. When ordering, I was assured the shoes were sent direct from RedWing, with no chance of factory second. The shoes aren't cheap, but after a few months of daily use, they have been very comfortable. I am surprised I can walk long distances in these shoes - without an insole or insert. read more

The sales man was a complete jerk. My company issues steel toes, so I can go to many places to getten shoes. I have recieved shoes from Red Wings in the past and had no issues. The sales man usually lets me know which shoes i can get and how much i am covered for or if i had to pay extra. I decided to try this new store in Pasadena because it's closer to me. So i walked in the store, the guy doesn't even acknowledge me. I finally ask the one guy at the ecounter, some asian dude, for some assistant. He makes me jump on the machine and says he will be right back. He just brings out a pair of shoes, he didn't ask me what I want, what I do, or how I'm going to use them. He assumes what I do and starts talking about how these shoes are great for carrying heavy load and have good ankle support for what I do, blah blah blah. I told him that I do not really carry anything heavy, and I do not need anything so heavy duty. I also told him that I would prefer to have something that looks more normal looking and less like a work boot. He still insists that these are what I want and that they are very popular, blah blah blah. I do not care if they are popular are not, they are not what i want! I told him that my previous set was a pair of Timberland Pros and they are very comfortable and looked like dress shoes. The salesman starts ranting about how horrible the company is and how they dont design their shoes properly. ??? I told that I prefer something more like the one on the top shelf and I point to it. He says that those are not covered, which is a lie. A fellow coworker of mine was there last week and got that same exact shoe. That was it for me and I left. This is ridiculous service!
