Store is small, but the customer service is great. Upon walking in we were greeted by Rich? I think. He helped my BF find the perfect pair of shoes, inquiring about his previous pairs, likes, dislikes, went and got a few styles from the back, and helped him lace up the shoes too. The machine they have you stand on is cool - helps to find out arch height, and how you distribute your weight. Left with a nice pair of boots, and an amazing pair of insoles. Little more pricey, but well worth it. Insoles were $60, but after weeks of him coming home saying his feet and back hurt, and after the new boots, feeling great, worth the price! read more

So I was at the store on 1/4/16, when I walked in I wasn't greeted right away but I felt a nice vibe in the store. There were 3-4 other customers talking amongst each other and trying on shoes. There was only ones sales associate in the location at the time. Chris was his name, he finished helping the other customers that were there and had another person that came in after me but already knew what he wanted so he went ahead of me. I waited a total of about 15-20 minutes for the other customers to finish. When it was my turn Chris showed me what styles would suite me for my needs. He gave me a few options and I took my pick and he explain what the differences where and gave me feedback for each pair I tried. My overall experience took about 45 minutes it was a very good experience. I would recommend this to others. read more

Guy I dealt with was comically unhelpful, which is surprising because the place has good reviews. I came in interested in trying on some different styles and sizes of the heritage boots but I was honestly surprised at how difficult it was making that happen. I get that Red Wing stores love to use their little digital measurement tool but it really only takes you so far. The thing spits out like six different sizes and multiple widths. At the end of the day, I gotta try the boots on and feel it out, which I haven't had a problem with at other locations. Also, if I'm uneducated about the selection and I say something like, "I'm interested in trying on any of these styles of shoes in front of me, I like them all," and you respond with, "well the sizing is all different," what am I as a customer supposed to do with that? Okay then, bring them out in different sizes for me! It's such a basic interaction of literally any shoe or boot store, one that I couldn't make happen here for one reason or another. Go to the unofficial Red Wing shop in Chinatown. They have a much bigger inventory and incredible service. read more

Beware when you take your boots to get resoled. I took two boots to this store & was extremely disappointed that both boots were not resoled with original soles. In fact I don't wear them anymore because they don't look the same. In fact they look strange. When I explained to the store they simply said they couldn't do anything about it because the factory resoled them. Consider yourself warned. I am no longer buying from this place and have warned my co-workers. read more

A good pair of boots will last years, but it's VITAL that they fit correctly. We had to wait 30 minutes before the sales associate even acknowledged us!! We were helped by a man named Francis and he was very vague on descriptions on the shoes. When we started to try on shoes my husband asked if he tied his shoes wrong and Francis told my husband that it was his feet that one of them is larger than the other!!( before he tried on the shoes, they did a foot test on both his feet feet to find the best fit for him, obviously if one was bigger it would have showed!!!). While my husband was trying on shoes another customer had walked in to return his shoes because he had complained about how sore the shoes made him and they were uncomfortable and all Francis said was that it was how the shoe is and that'll break in and the customer told him that it was the steel toe that's making him hurt, and all Francis can say is that u need to break them in ( how the hell do u break in steel?!??) I felt soo bad for that customer .When I tried to offer my opinion to my husband he snided a sexist remark!!!! "good thing shoes don't talk" I was so disgusted!!!!! This is the only red wing store near us and my husband needed these shoes for work so I just held myself together and let him buy the shoes. If my husband doesn't like his shoes I'm more than willing to make the drive out to a different location....we will never be returning to that store location ever again read more

I work in Long Beach and live in Pasadena. I bought some boots on my lunchbreak in Long Beach, and decided that I didn't like the way they fit when I got home. I went to Red Wing in Pasadena to exchange them. Rich was amazing. He took great care of me, and he was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I was thinking of returning the boots and looking somewhere else, but Rich explained that each store has different inventory, and he helped me find boots that I was very happy with. Wow! Called about a fit issue. Rich was extremely helpful and looked up my purchase info even though I bought them in Burbank. When I came in, a very helpful woman fit my shoes with some pads to prevent rubbing until the shoes break in. She and her assistant Rich had stellar customer service. The company emails free tuneups (condition, repair, exchange laces) and gave me a free US Flag charm for my boots. The Red Wing Company is like how an old fashion American Company use to be: outstanding product, they stand by their boots, excellent value for the money, and the stay in touch with you offering service after the sale. If it wasn't for "Store Manager" FRANCIS I would probably be a repeat customer at this location. With him running the show I'd drive somewhere else to avoid his rude sarcasm. As a PAYING customer when I have a question I expect it to be answered, not accompanied with a story and never given a direct ANSWER. He insisted on selling my husband a boot for his line of work, except he didn't listen to what my husband actually did. After attempting to sell us a boot that was 2 sizes bigger than what my husband wears, FRANCIS got frustrated when my husband requested a half size smaller and repeated to say SARCASTICALLY "Well that's on you". HUH?! No way that comment was appropriate or acceptable. RED WING shoes are wonderful and we will comtinue to purchase them. But there is NO WAY I would ever visit the Pasadena location with a Store Manager like that! Sucks being that we are Pasadena residents, but it is what it is.
