10/05/2024- I walked in with my daughter at about 4:30 pm. There were three sales associates talking amongst themselves... not one of them greeted us or offered to help. Then bumped into two other sales associates and the same exact thing was happening. The only sales associate that was courteous and actually working was the young man at the fitting rooms. Even though the company policy is to give store credit for returns made with gift receipts, the assistant manager automatically credited back the gift giver's credit card??!!! Didn't apologize and even though I called customer service right away there was nothing they could do. I was returning a present my kid received so now the funds they would have enjoyed using are gone all because the manager is poorly trained and doesn't think logically. Why would returning money to the cc, when it is returned with a gift receipt make any sense?? read more

I went to this location to get a christmas gift for my nephew. I get the workers are suppose to check up on customers, I use to work retail but I could tell they thought I was trying to steal the stuff I had picked. I felt racially profiled as I was the only hispanic in the store and the rest of the workers were white. Honestly it's getting old, just don't come here if your POC. read more

I walked in looking for something to get my younger brother. Allen was super knowledgeable about some different jacket options for my brother (who's been talking about living off the grid. Lol). He also helped me find some cool gifts for my sister and my brothers' girlfriends. I really appreciated the time he took, during this busy season, to help me find the right things to make my family Christmas memorable. First time at tillys. Definitely a California/surfer/skater type of store. They offer both men's, women's and kids merchandise. Plus a lot of accessories from back packs, shoes, skate boards and watches etc. Everything you need to accessorize. Great customer service as well both on the floor and by the dressing room. Typically I cannot stand walking into Tilly's I have been to several locations where I am repeatedly ignored it has happened at this location as well. I don't know why it happens but several employees have looked right passed me and approached customers that I guess fit their style a bit more??? I went in this location with a friend this past week and A young man named Gilbert approached my friend and I and ask if we needed help right away! After declining his help, he proceeds to tell us that if we need help getting a shoe size or anything from the back to just let him know and gave us his name. He immediately began organizing shelves and folding clothes. He honestly made my evening. Right before walking in I told my friend that if i experienced bad service or no service at all again, that I would find and make a call to corporate for sure. Not because I wanted to be a "Karen". It's not even a big deal to me to be greeted immediately upon walking into an establishment, but because of just how many locations and employees have displayed such foul attitudes and LITERALLY ignored me in the past or chose to service other people around me but never ME. It was getting ridiculous. But thank you Gilbert! I don't know if it was because you're new or just raised right but don't change. It was the easiest thing to just ask if we needed help. I wanted to write a review before I forget. So I came in here to find some shorts for the BF. Saw one that I liked on the Summer Clearance Rack for 50% off. The price tag didnt show any markdowns but I had assumed it was 50% off because it was on the rack and there was another pair of the same kind on there as well. I went to the cashier to double check that the price was half off but when the cashier rang it up...It came up as regular price. The girl that was helping me had told me that all the items on the rack were on sale so I let the cashier know and they had double checked and told me that maybe the item was misplaced on the wrong rack. The girl told the cashier that I was right and that it was on the clearance and that there were two on the rack. Another worker came to check and I believe he may have been an assistant manager but he told me he would honor the 50% off since it was advertised that way. I ended up paying $17 dollars for good quality board shorts! So the point of my review is not the amount of money that I paid (which is a bonus itself) but the staff and service. Even if it was a mistake on the stores end that they misplaced the item, they still took accountability and honored it which I believe is highly respectable. Monique said she had it right there and will absolutely hold it for us. I explained how my son wanted it so bad and we would drive there asap. She said 'no problem ' . It took us 40 min on the freeway to get there. We drive so far and when he went in to buy it Monique said "sorry someone else sold it".!!!! If you know a customer is driving all this way to buy something you promised, make sure its secure and keep your word !!! Lame, such bad service . Tillys has lost customers for life now. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER PROVIDED BY ALICIA. I went in for a return. I was asked what was wrong with the items i then expressed one item was too small and had already searched on the rack for a larger item and the other was simple not to the liking of my son. I was them informed one of the items could not be returned only store credit given. I questioned why she then started her sermon on making every effort not to let me speak or ask a question while she continue to smirk when i explained i was not aware sale items are non refundable nor was explained at the point of purchase. She then went on to say Well its our policy as she smiled. I then stated im sorry i was not informed of the policy nor is it posted anywhere visible. She continued to ramble on the same information . Its our policy its in our receipts. I then asked ok when is the receipt printed? she did not answer the question. Then looked at the receipt and stated she knew the person who rung up the items mEntioned it to me items are non refundable. WOW love how she can state something without being present. I ordered a watch back on 11/24/17 the people who placed the order didn't know what they were doing and my order ended being cancelled w/ out notification and after waiting almost 2 weeks I tried to call Tilly's to ask where my order was and the said I needed to contact Tilly's corporate office and you cannot reach a live person. I've called and got transferred on an automated system to different extensions from customer service to management, I've written emails and not one word back to where my refund is. The store manager has been excellent at assisting me however per his request for better assistance from head quarters no one has called me back and I still have not been refunded. They will not allow me to go back to the store where I made my payment to be reimbursed stating the I have to wait for a check, however no one has contacted me to inform me my refund has been processed. I got an email notifying me of a refund however it doesn't stay how I will receive it and I still haven't seen a check. This is the worst experience I've ever gone through for a simple online order of a watch! My experience and I'm sure everyone else's you expect to take your receipt into the store you purchased from and get your reimbursement there. No I have no watch and no money back!
