All Ross stores are not created equal, and I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Extremely friendly security. The selection was amazing! So much on clearance--like dresses for $6.99! Petite jeans for $12.99. For the most part, the merchandise was organized, which typically isn't the case at busy stores. The lines ebbed and flowed; by time we stood in line, it was on the shorter side and moved quickly. I'll happily come back to this store when I'm in town. read more

Ross is a great place to shop for value products. They sell a huge variety of items for super cheap like clothes, home goods, bags, luggage, etc. There's a parking lot in the back. This place is messy and slightly disorganized. You really have to pay attention to the quality of the clothes bc they might be a little dirty. Customer service was great, we didn't wait long for the register and the transaction was quick. read more

Second Ross store I'm visiting today. There is a dress I really loved and it was from a Ross store and I'm looking for it. This Ross has two floors, so much more space for items to find, the women apparel is on the first so I was just looking for that dress. There was more dress selections than the other Ross stores I've been, BUT they didn't have the one I'm looking for. HOWEVER, they had really nice dresses in the clearance section and I got two...good value for these two since both were the same price I would've paid for the dress I wanted. I went in from the back and was greeted by the security who was nice. My baby was in the stroller asleep so I had a hard time trying to get in with that weird dip from the parking lot to the door. The cashier was nice as well, looks like there's two checkout areas since the one I went through was the back one. Parking lot is 90minutes free, which is great for Pasadena parking situation and there are charging stations for Tesla and other EVs. read more

This review is long overdue. I do not shop at Ross, but my boyfriend does for his rental properties. We decided to go to this location since we were already in the area. This is a two-story store and parking is not an issue. They do have a lot of merchandise and for the most part, it is organized. I saw a few associates organizing and stocking some of the shelves. The thing about this store is that the service is horrible. From the moment we walked in (excluding the security guard) it seemed like the Ross associates hated their job. No one smiles, no one greets you and when I asked one of the associates where the restrooms were she did not seem so happy to help. I finally found the restrooms, but they were locked. I had to go back and ask the associate by the elevator for the code. She did provide it, but once again did not seem happy to help. I felt like I was bothering her when in fact that is her job. To top it off, when we were paying the cashier was RUDE and provided Horrible service. We had three or four huge bags and while my boyfriend is grabbing them and getting situated cause we had a lot she tells him to basically hurry up. I got mad and said, "He's getting his bags!!" Of course, she did not say anything after cause I would have complained to the manager. As we were leaving the security said good night and he was the only one who was nice here. The security guard, parking, merch and semi-clean restrooms are the reason they are getting two stars. I do not plan to go back to this Ross ever again. read more

Really beautiful stuff here today! I wasn't expecting to buy anything but there were several items I found perfect for every day use at work and just looking fabulous without spending a lot. I got these suede outfits in my size and they're just sexy and cute for work and also after work. Ross has some awesome stuff you just have to take time and looking around. It was seriously crowded and I'm glad we went in line before it was too much to wait in line. I scored skirts and belts. I want to go back though for more fall stuff but today must have been 90 plus degrees! read more

Racist af!! I first went to TJ Maxx across the street and they were pleasant and friendly, even gave me a discount because the pack of underwear I bought was missing a pair. Then I went to Ross and checked out, and got stopped at the door and had to show security my receipt from Ross, AND the receipt from TJ Maxx along with what was inside that shopping bag! A white woman walked out behind me and the security guard didn't bother checking her multiple bags. If you're going to have "we check receipts" signs everywhere, make sure not to single out Black shoppers. read more

Ross is usually ok and I'm generally satisfied with their merchandise . But tonight I was shocked to discover after I purchased an Estée Lauder face cream , that the cream supposed to be in the box was substituted with a small jar of an unknown brand. The jar was too small for the box and was clearly NOT the Estée Lauder brand labeled on the box. It may have been swapped out , when the item was locked a plastic anti- theft container. read more

I walked in and the security guard was very nice in pointing me out very directly to the bathroom. I got upstairs, and immediately, the red headed lady at the fitting room not only saw me, but she saw me go straight for the bathroom and unlocked it before I could get to the door. I appreciate them both very much and I love shopping here specifically for that service. I also love how they always have the store near, organized, and very beautifully stocked and pulled to attention. Called today and had the worst experience I asked if they had children's suitcases and if he knew around how much they are and the male that answered told me if I want cheap prices I should go online shopping ... This Ross is pretty clean, albeit a little bit messy, but all Rosses usually are. They have two floors, and this is probably one of the biggest Ross stores I've been to. The racks are pretty disorganized, but that's sort of part of the thrill of shopping here. The prices are super reasonable, and the parking is ample. Pro tip: If you like to drink Tpumps (an AMAZING boba place; check out my review!) and can't find any parking nearby, park in the Ross parking lot and walk over! It's a super short walk, and afterwards, you can visit the Ross and check out their clothes as well. It is never super crowded, since this Ross is super big, and their prices are always super good. I love this Ross, personally and I'd 100% recommend for some killer deals and a great experience. read more

0 stars. I used to like this Ross and go here all the time, but now they treat everyone like a criminal. I'm not sure what happened but no more. I bought a bunch of clothes for a work trip and some of them just didn't fit right. When I tried to return the lady at the counter claimed she couldn't find a particular item and needed to check with loss prevention in case I bought them at Macy's and was trying to bring them back here. Yah right! Macy's has way better quality. They're suddenly so paranoid and it makes shopping uncomfortable. read more

Checking a paid customer's receipt. I will no longer shop at any ROSS stores. Security is literally 5 feet from the register watching you pay for your items. The cashier tells you to keep your receipt out cause they're going to check it. Not only is your receipt being checked they're also looking in your bag. This is an insult to paying customers. ROSS should have security cameras that are monitored. This isn't stopping shoplifters from shoplifting. This is harassing paying customers so with that being said I will spend my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

I usually just come here to clothes for my teenager and husband since they carry the brands that they like at unbeatable prices. Not much in terms of service and the lines at check out are always long. Still usually worth it, store could use some cleaning up and maybe a remodel though. read more

I always find things for myself and my house when I shop at Ross. My latest find was a warm cotton pea coat for just $15. I get compliments everyday on it! Super cute and comfortable. I've found everything from Steve Madden boots to Ms. Jessie's hair products. Just so you know, Ms. Jessie's big tub of curly pudding cost me $14.99, if you buy it at Target it will run you $58. My Steve Madden Camden Boots cost me only $35 ! They're $100 boots!!! I know. You hate to have to dig and search. I get it! Don't be lazy ... it's worth it ! Come on ladies !!! P.S. If you come with the right expectations and the hope of finding a treasure or two in the aisles upon aisles of random clothing and knickknacks, you might just walk away fairly happy at this Ross. Pros: impressive gardening and outdoor decor section, relatively clean and semi-organized as whole, easy parking. Unlike stores of a similar nature that seem to have a lot of chipped and damaged items, I didn't see any of the sort here. Decent selection of women's clothes, jackets, and workout wear. Longish line moved fast. Cons: both juniors and women's were mixed together which makes for some difficult sizing issues as I am a slim 5'10" woman - a juniors' small is vastly different than a women's small as a juniors small is more appropriate for an American Girl doll (Samantha, I'm talking about you). So essentially the sizing on every S/M/L rack has a huge spectrum. Many items are missing price tags, so you're left to the mercy of the cashiers at the register to look up the product in some mysterious way - even bringing a similar item won't really help. And I hate to sound judgmental - but this Ross has a pretty ghetto vibe, especially in comparison to the TJ Maxx across the street. Lots of uncontrolled kids yelling and whining. read more

I giving it 3 stars to the people who work there exp for the Security guards who profiles people like a criminals, who look lower income when they walk in. If you dress in casual clothing, the security will follow you around. I been to this one on and off for years. In the past few months, I notice each time I stop after barre class in comfort clothing and no make up, I get watched. If I'm in my normal clothing, they don't bat an eye when I walk in the door. A few weeks ago, I decided to go in after class to get a pair of cheap earphones for backup. I grabbed one and I was on the phone with a friend, who reminded me to look for a carry on suitcase for a upcoming trip. I when over and they didn't have a huge supply. So I turn around to head up stairs and a security guard suddenly jumped in front of me as if he was getting ready to tackle me and said hi staring challenging straight into my eyes. I was stunned and shocked as walked away towards the stairs. As I was going upstairs, I realized that he thought I was steal the earphones bc the suitcases were like 6 feet from the door. They need better training then treating people like criminals based on how they look bc I have looked at stuff much closer to the door for decades and never been approached. I guess their new Customer service is approach every customer like their a criminal. read more

Was leaving the store and a metal pole hanging horizontally over the door dislodged and struck my father. Turns out the brackets holding the pole were loose and failed. Disappointed that there was such a hazard in the store and could have been dangerous for other customers as well. read more

I went to return a merchandise with my receipt and don't want to accept it because of their other tag missing and made me to find another merchandise that's the same, then went back to the cashier still didn't accept it and gave me an attitude like I don't understand and this is the manager I'm talking by the name of Gabby. The employees on this Ross store (Lake Pasadena Ca) are very rude, they have a poor customer service manner. So disappointed , just on this location thou. Wandered in here without purpose or cause, just walking around south Lake Ave. to get some steps in after a bigger than usual feeding at Veggie Grill a couple blocks up. Besides, I'm not above thumbing through the racks here to look for markdowns I can resell on eBay, when the stars align. Sadly, this was a cloudy night at Ross, with not a star to be seen. There's a thrift shop feeling to this location: long racks of seconds and thirds that are somehow even below Ross' usual low bar. Markdowns aren't really much lower than the so-called retail price, and half the shirts have that "stretched-out collar" look like they've been hanging for a while. I'm not one for designer labels, myself, so maybe I just don't belong in here to begin with. Still, I suppose if you are, there might be one of two finds in here from last season's stuff that didn't make it off the racks in Macy's. If you're a really short man with a 26 inch waist or an equally short man with a 46 in waist, there seem to be some things here for you. Since I pretty much split the difference in the midsection measurement, and stand 6'3", it's a ghost town in here. I carried a cheap yoga mat and a Nike t-shirt around the store for a while, and found a pair of cheap kicks for my daughter in her size. Once I saw the lines that were reminiscent of the non-appointment queue at DMV, I dropped my cheapish finds in a nondescript pile on a display of decorative candles, and made a bee line for the exit. An employee followed me all the way to the door; apparently, I was marked as a shoplifter? Haha. Go home, loss prevention associate, you're drunk. 2 stars for entertaining people watching, anyway. I'll consider an edited third star add if I don't end up contracting tuberculosis from that fellow who full-on coughed in my face near the sock racks. read more

I agree with Anne T. - be kind. I came early in the morning and every single person I spoke to (5) had been very kind and helpful. I bought a bunch of housewares and a few other things, and it was a lot, bulky and heavy. The cashier suggested that the security guard could hold my things, I could pull up by the door and he would help me load them. What a sweet young lady! The security guard would not let me drag anything over there - another dear soul. They were kind, gracious and professional. The selection wasn't huge, but it was sufficient and much cheaper than I could have gotten it for elsewhere. I would be happy to come here again if I needed anything - my thanks to all of those gracious souls that work there! read more

I never had complain before about any kind of clothing store but today i had the most horrible visit ever. I had went with my mother to this ross cause we loved all the selection they had. so we went and spend 2 hours to have a full cart of things we were going to buy. has we went to the check out, i wanted to see watches, where the jewelry were at. I kid you not, within two minutes that i left my cart, like 5 foot away from me, to speak to a coworker of what watch i wanted, my cart was taken away. I had ask about where had the cart went to the coworkers who were near by to have them say that a customer may have taken it. i stupidly believed them that i went to look around the store for my cart to not find it any where. so i wanted to talk to a manger about it and she was no help at all. She didn't even seemed to care and just said that customers take carts away all the time. so i was about to just leave, but on the glance i saw that 1/3 of my stuff that i wanted was up with the cashier's sorting area. So they were so quick to blame it on customers that they don't even want to admit that a coworker took the whole cart away or even bother to ask around. I was so upset cause all they can say is you can just go and find everything again and i was not about to go look again just to find what i wanted when i had finish. worst customer experience ever. read more

I purchase a top and then tried returned it. They would not return it because they said it was a 2-piece. It was not! The tag does not say 2 piece and I tried on a few sizes to get the right fit and none of them said 2 piece or had another piece attached. So now I'm stuff with a top I don't want. This Ross Dress For Less has a great selection of fine/costume jewelry. There is not a time that I go in there...that I don't buy at least one piece of jewelry. I love working with Lisa and Amanda in this department. They are so helpful and always have a smile on their face. The one person that may turn you off from feeling happy to shop for jewelry is Vanessa. One can go in feeling in great spirits, she can quickly turn you off and make you want to run out of the store to get as far away from her as possible. I go out of my way to may sure she is not working the jewlery counter. She acts like you are "bothering" her to look at anything in the case. Stay clear from this girl. Lisa and Amanda ROCK!! this ross is extremely different than the one near my area. this places has a large variety of clothing to choose from, and has current fashion trends which i'm actually surprised about. most retail stores just don't do that. they mostly have old clothing that no one wears anymore. the ross near my area isn't like this one at all. there's only one security at mine while this one has more than three. i always see kids inside my ross breaking and stealing and no one does anything about it. this place has great deals, and i love the selection of clothing they have. the prices are great and it's pretty clean here. read more

Great prices for name brand items. Totally obsessed with Ross lately. Got most of my Xmas presents there - with a one for them and two for me policy. Best Ross I've seen - everything is actually sized correctly and in the place where it's supposed to be. Nice selection of good quality items. I got Sketchers Shape Ups there for about 1/2 the retail cost and once found a Calvin Klein business suit. Dresses can be fantastic, but their inventory changes all the time, so you just have to check back and hunt to see what they have. Great selection and I noticed that they have some of the same things sold across the street at Macy's, but for a lot less. I agree that the customer service is so so. Sometimes it's great, but during Xmas time, they (including the manager) gave me incorrect information about their credit card process. I can forgive that because I was still able to get a lot of nice presents for not that much money. Note: There are two checkouts sections - so go for the one in the front of the store near the street because it's usually empty :) read more
