First thing walking in at 9:45 in the morning I was hit with a loud voice!!! A manager having a huddle of some sort right in the front of the store as we walk in ..... yelling aggressively at her employees about what needs to get done. How they need to get things out from the back and she can't have excuses. Something about bad attitudes and that she wasn't going to put up with that. I don't know about you, but that vibe definitely doesn't make me want to spend my money!! In fact it's very disappointing to see a woman behaving like that. Shouldn't that be done BEFORE the store opens? And in a more professional way??? I've been coming here for years!!! I'm guessing she's a new manager, maybe she needs retraining or an HR meeting. I wasn't expecting to get anything, but then I saw the Christmas items, especially the food products! I found things that I would want to gift to friends and family. Home goods is a great discount store for your many needs. There's so much here from kitchen good (pots, pans, cleaning products), bedding,candles, holiday decoration. There is a pet section with discounted treats ,toys, jackets. Found some chews for my dogs at $3.99 a good deal. Lot of decorations for the home. Huge Homegoods, selling everything related to your home, in the SGV. Located within the Hastings Ranch Plaza shopping mall, this location of Homegoods is very close to its sister store, Marshalls. It's worth stopping into both, since there isn't much overlap. For this trip, we were focusing on their Pet department, which is quite big. I was there yesterday and after filling my cart with approximately $100+ worth of items, I went to the checkout line and there were approximately 30+ people in line with only 4 cashiers. I did not have 20-30 minutes to wait so left my full cart and walked out. Another lady in the store did the same thing a few minutes before I left. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! Also, the store is crammed with stuff to the point that if you try to move things, other things fall---this happened to me a few times and I heard at least 1 item break while I was there. read more

This location is pretty messy and disorganized, but there is also a lot of traffic and a lot of items so I kind of get it. Personally, I don't mind it that much because I like to dig a little and it's more rewarding when you find something you like, but also, if I was looking for something specific, this would be a nightmare. I used to like this store, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. On January 23, I purchased an item, but the store mistakenly left the security alarm attached. Since I have a busy schedule, I wasn't able to return right away. When I finally went back to have it removed, the employee refused to assist me, implying that I had done something wrong, as if I were trying to steal the item. It was a very inexpensive purchase--only $29--yet the way I was treated was completely unacceptable. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, the employee simply insisted that the store has a 30-day return policy, which I fully understand. However, his attitude and lack of professionalism were shocking. I even recorded the interaction, but unfortunately, there was no visible name tag to identify him. Employees like this should be trained on proper customer service and how to treat people with respect. read more

This is one of my very favorite HomeGoods store location! I was looking daily at all the Home Goods Stores, on a hunt for patio cushions. I had purchased a set at a local Home Goods and needed 2 more sets to complete the look. I called Pasadena (28 miles from my home) and spoke to Isaac and I gave him the department number and the style number and he was able to find two sets for me. I called the store back and spoke to the store manager, Lisa. She was so kind and understanding to my situation to put them on hold till the end of closing. William has also been very helpful to me, as well on another call looking for a particular side table. I literally laughed out loud in homegoods today. We found this really cool framed decor and the glass was completely cracked. If it was small, I wouldn't care but I would have to replace the glass because it's so badly damaged and 3 people had to direct us to different people to get us help so someone could give us a price and they lady literally said 5% for one of them and 10% off on the other one. That literally doesn't even cover tax! Like seriously?! Inflation is 9%. 5% and 10% off, for large pieces..... as we looked at them I laughed and said yea no, that's not cool. It's not even covering me getting a new piece of glass. They literally went to go dump them! Trash waste sayyyy whattt? Like you could have sold it cheaper to us and reduced waste. Instead they dumped them or offered me 5% & 10% off. Definitely NOT cool. 0/5 for homegoods today..... I think the Rancho location is better anyways. More option and not so messy. read more

Homegoods is one of my favorite stores because I can always find good quality items with good deals here. This location has a big parking lot, so parking is never a problem. Things are usually messy in this store, especially during weekend. It usually took me longer to find what I need if I come during weekend. Staff is not helpful. There was a time I have a lot of items (organizing bins) in hand and I was by the cashier. I asked the first cashier if I can leave my items behind her, and continue to shop. She asked me to leave the items on the bench by the exit. I did not leave my stuff there because other people might just grab it. She asked me to take a cart. I did not use the cart because I did not see anyone sanitizing the handle. I ended up continued shopping while holding on everyone with my hands. Again, no staff offered me to hold onto my items while I was shopping there. It was a good workout though. Highly recommending management to provide training on customer services. read more

3.5 stars Definitely a hoarder's dream come true! At least, it is this hoarders dream! Most of the time, I come here with my mom. I look at kitchen and dog stuff. My mom looks at everything lol! We don't usually buy the food here since we don't know how long it's been on the shelves. However, the decor, accesories, and kitchenware are always nice to look at. The pottery this summer is particularly colorful and we enjoy the everchanging flow of color/designs depending on the time of the year. Definitely worth a trip here if you need new decor, furniture, or home accessories. Pet supplies are often a hit or a miss. read more

It can at times become very messy because it's always busy but all-in-all this place is pretty organized considering. I always go to HomeGoods whenever I need to shop for home decor or items for my dog. This location is well stocked with items and the store is quite big. It's located in the same plaza as Sears, Marshalls, and Panda Express, among others. They sometimes can get busy during weekends which causes the checkout line to be long and items to be unorganized. Overall their items tend to be better quality than those sold at Ross. I've purchased dog toys here at a fraction of what they're sold for at Petco or Petsmart. I like that they sell a wide variety of unique home decor items for every season. read more

Customer Service is a 0 for me. I found three journal-style notebooks on the clearance shelf. Two of them were marked at $2 and the third was marked $3.50. I told the cashier that there must be a mistake because all three were exactly the same. She said, "no, the other two have been on the shelf longer." I said, "but they are exactly the same, that's silly. How do you know those two have been on the shelf longer?" To which she replied, "the vendor sets the price." I went to Homegoods for the first time yesterday and I loved it!!!. I was only planning to shop for one item that day and I ended up spending almost 2 hours in this store. I was in awe of all the selections that Homegoods offers and the low prices. I left with 6 chairs, two patio umbrellas, garden statue and some wall art. What I was really appreciative for is Danny. I kept running into him, throughout my shopping journey and he was so helpful and had a really great personality. He helped me load all the chairs, plus other items into my car, which was not an easy task. Really, everyone there at the store, including the cashiers were very helpful. I love shopping at this store which is the reason for my positive rating. However, I shopped there a day ago, Sunday and experienced a 'team meeting' being held at the front entry. Apparently, it started prior to the store opening and just continued. I found it to be inappropriate and distracting as a shopper. I observed the workers faces while the manager was talking and they seemed uncomfortable. Perhaps, this meeting can be held another place that is private. Customers don't need to hear this!!! I love coming here to kill time and browse through thousands of interesting products on the shelves for sale. I like that at Homegoods, you can find anything you are looking for, brand names for a lot less than department stores. Yes, not everything can be found but if you really dig thoroughly, you can find really awesome goods for great prices! They also carry international goodies like candy, chips, chocolate, spices, oil and coffee. I was first skeptical buying these thinking it may be old and expired but they are not. I really like this tiny gummy bears they have but its rarely seen. Restrooms are also available in the back. This location is not the cleanest one I have been to but it is Homegoods after all. I came by to make a small return and my sweet cashier Setta was patiently doing her job but A cashier next to her, Amanda decided to get the return done herself and wouldn't stop barging into my return process and thinks she runs the store. She kept saying shes doing it wrong and yelling at Setta to do the job right like she is her manager or something. She wouldn't even focus on her own customers at the register and it was very rude. Looking at home decor stores is one of my favorite pastimes, so I constantly find myself wandering through Ross, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, you name it. Naturally, this HomeGoods store is on my list and my go-to when I'm having home decor withdrawals. Last year, this store was a bit disorganized. However, they have reorganized all the aisles as of this year, so it's much easier to browse and sift through shelves of things. I absolutely love the deals I find here. Honestly, there are items that are expensive but if you're into scavenger hunts, this is the place to be. It's super rewarding to find something I love at a decent price. What people don't realize is, they have a good selection of hot cocoa, matcha, and other drinks that you may find in "artisanal" stores (meaning they're pretty expensive). But I was able to find $6 matcha here when even Amazon sells it for $8 (and for less). There are also spices and pastas you don't normally see in the supermarkets. Parking can get tricky because this lot is shared between some major stores and restaurants. I am true believer in Target Therapy, but I would still choose HomeGoods any day. read more

This new HomeGoods store took over about half of the space of Sears in Hastings Ranch. Compared to other HomeGoods (Glendale and La Canada), this store seems smaller and more cramped, like there's less space between display cases. Have been here on a Saturday, and the place was really busy, so the cramped feeling was more evident. Came here to exchange items on two weekday mornings, and this is definitely the time to go. Okay selection of housewares and stuff, but seems to carry too much beach-themed decor! Workers friendly and very easy returns/exchanges. read more

I have been a loyal Homegoods customer for years now. I have seen the changes and transformations this store has gone through. This past holiday season, the store had new employees that were extremely kind and helpful. I noticed every time I came into the store they would ask if I needed help and answered any and all questions I had. However, management got rid of some of the particular employees that made this store run so smoothly. These were hardworking employees that truly cared about their work and the desire to help customers. This location definitely does not have that type of environment anymore. The management does not care about their staff and treats them very poorly. Not to mention, I came into the store early February to purchase decor for my living room. I asked one of the managers for help and they responded by rolling their eyes and giving me attitude. It's really sad to see how this Homegoods location has only gone downhill in the recent years. I went to check out this place today as I was in the Pasadena area and had noticed that this Home Goods looked pretty big. This place is a mess!! Stuff is just literally everywhere! It is a big location, bigger than the one near me in Chino. I had originally thought that place looked like a mess, but compared to this location, I like my Chino one much better. This location is pretty big and has a wide variety of random stuff, but you have to choose and look at your items carefully. I noticed that soooooo many items were damaged!! They were either broken or chipped or peels or cracked, and it was all still listed at the full store price. The items here did not stand out to me as really things I wanted since so many things were damaged. The parking here is also terrible. Be prepared for the parking! It's more of a hassle to come to this location than it is worth. The only things I ended up buying was a dog bed and this linen spray that smelled very relaxing. Also, when the cashier girl bagged my stuff, she licked her finger and used it to open my bag. That is sooooooooooo gross!!! It's basically like licking a customer's stuff!!! I wish retail workers would not do that. Not only is it gross for the costumer, but it is also very disgusting to do that as a worker. They handle money, touch all types of stuff... and then they put their finger in their mouth and lick it and touch the costumer's bag with it!!! Hazardous To Your Health! Homegoods in Pasadena at Hastings Ranch area is one of the most offenders of having the most disgusting and absolutely gross Women's bathroom!!! This bathroom looked so toxic that another patron and I looked at each other with shocked faces and tried to figure out which stall was the least toxic to enter. When I say toxic I mean GROSS!!! Feces stuck on the seats and the walls around it! It looked as though it's been there for a while! When I approached the cashier about possibly having someone clean it, her response was that they clean it every morning. Which seemed untrue simply because the stuff looked like it's been there for days!! She also whispered saying that the female employees avoid using the bathroom until they arrived home! Sad! Unforgivable! And think twice before you absolutely need to use this bathroom!! read more
