If you're looking for tile, this is the place to go!! The entire showroom has massive amounts of samples. Richard was my sales rep and he walked me through many different combo options. He even pulled the tiles to a display to show me what they looked like under different colored lighting. After some consultation, I was allowed to grab the tile sample I settled on to browse around the showroom and search for other combos I might like. He even showed me grout options (there are plenty!) They also offer services for custom tiling. Easy purchase of an in-stock tile. I came in with no expectations and it was a great experience. My bathroom installer was ready for tile. I got in my car and went to Floor & Decor, Home Depot, Lowe's, & Duarte Tile but I still was not satisfied with the selection of bathroom shower & floor tile. This place is amazing. This place is awesome and our new favorite place to find tile! They have a huge selection and everything is very well organized and lit and easy to find with prices on every sample. We have been doing lots of home renovations and come by often to get inspiration for our next project. Kenny and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. This tile store is great to shop at because they display most of their samples on huge panels so that it's easy for you to see the home tile without having to lift them up like at other stores. From the second I stepped foot into the building, I was greeted by Philip. He asked what I was looking for, and when I told him the specifics, he immediately led me to all the tiles that fit my description. When the option I liked was too expensive, he ended up being able to find a mosaic that had one of the colors that I liked, and found out he could special order me a tile set with just that one color. I was a bit hesitant since I still wanted to test what it would look like with my wall tiles, so he lent me a piece with a $5 deposit to take home. Once I was sure it was what I wanted, I placed an order with him and he received the shipment in just two days. Since El Monte is a bit further away, he held on to it until I was ready to pick it up. When my contractor told me to order just a few more, I just reached back out to Philip, who suggested I come look at the tile first before placing an order. I appreciated this since it showed he really wanted me to be satisfied before ordering more (since there is a restocking fee if I decide I don't want the tile anymore). Ultimately, while the tiles were more expensive than some of the other tiles I was interested in at Floor & Decor, I appreciated their selection and efficiency, and would recommend them to anyone looking for any specific tiles. read more

I visited many tile stores and even the big box stores and nothing comes close to the service of Tile Depot. Stock right now is hard to come by for tiles, back order on top of back order, however Tile Depot somehow keeps their inventory stocked (for certain tiles). Most tiles are in stock and if you need a specific one, it may take 2-3 business days to transfer them, or 2-3 months from over seas. A lot of the tiles here are from Spain and not made in China. Comparing the quality to other stores, it's pretty much the same and you probably can't tell much of a difference. I worked with Philip on my giant order and he was extremely helpful. We told him how what we wanted and he gave suggestions on what he would recommend to match with what. He was very knowledgeable and suggested things that we would need such as the metal trim along the tile wall, the grout color, and the tile adhesive. There are only a few downsides of this place, the first is parking, it's very small and tight. Not a lot of cars can fit here. The second is pricing, it can get extremely pricey. For tiles that are similar design to your big box store, it's gonna be 1.5-2X the price per sq feet and that adds up very quickly. The return policy is not very lenient, basically no refunds or exchanges. read more
