First HomeGoods visit and I definitely have mixed feelings.. This was my first time ever visiting a HomeGoods (and this specific location), so I'll admit my expectations were a little high. Especially after seeing all the fun/cool finds people post on social media. I was really excited to finally check it out! The location itself is in a nice area, but the store left a lot to be desired. It felt very cramped and crowded at certain points, which I think has a lot to do with the layout. The aisles were super narrow and it was hard to move around without constantly dodging other shoppers. A lot of the store felt pretty random and unorganized, and as someone who didn't really know what to expect on their first visit, it was a bit overwhelming. There were carts of merchandise all over the place and a lot of active stocking happening, which added to the overstimulating vibe for me. I still tried my best to browse as much as possible before I got tired. That said, it wasn't all bad. I did manage to find some cute home decor and Valentine's Day items, which made the trip feel somewhat worth it. I also spotted two of the viral food stools I've seen online, but unfortunately they were under some random open boxes that someone had left behind and obviously gone through, so I didn't get a great look. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to see what the HomeGoods hype is about, but this location felt like a messier, more chaotic version of Ross or Marshalls in my opinion. I'm not totally turned off. I'd definitely be open to trying a different HomeGoods location in the future. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and manager. Terrible manager named Terri with a huge attitude. I found the same item with two different prices and she wouldn't give it to me for the lower price? What difference does it make to her or for her attitude acting like she owns the store? Lol you guys need to reassign your managment and workers that are high out of their minds with even worse attitudes. Kristina was completely unprofessional. As I arrived with my item pictured she automatically questioned where I had gotten this item from she then proceeded to tell me in a lecturing and rude form that the item was priced wrong. Manager Fabiola stated the item was priced by cooperate, yet they would change the price to 14.99. Distasteful experience, making feel as if i was stealing from the company. read more

Sometimes I drive to this location when I'm in Glendale just to see their inventory. I have been here few times and every time the store has been disorganized and messy. Hard to pull out stuff from the shelves, feels like everything is on top of each other. The employees at this location are not as friendly as the Glendale location. I love HomeGoods! The only place you can find cheap average quality home essentials and decor. This location is pretty good compared to other HomeGoods stores. They have a wide selection of products for reasonable prices. The check out line can get really long! But do not fret, it moves pretty quickly. I can't give it 5 stars for a couple of reasons. Like everyone else, I agree that it is really messy and disorganized. Especially when you go on a weekend. Your best bet is a weekday morning if you want to shop in peace. Second, a lot of their products are in bad shape! I tend to find so many things I like that are damaged. Sorry, I actually like the store but the management is not paying attention. Two years ago, my wallet was stolen and in the store, the thieves actually talk to me and were following me around and after I got up to the checkout I saw that my wallet was gone out of my purse. I talked to Home Goods management and they said they had many thefts, but there was nothing they could do about it they have no cameras, no security and basically you are on your own. I would strongly suggest that you wear a Crossbody purse, never leave your purse in the cart unattended for one minute. The thieves ran very quickly across the street to Target and tried to steal at least five gift cards at $500 each. Thanks to a Target security person they did not get my money. Basically the thieves got away and I'm sure will be doing this forever. Once again, we must be our own best advocates, and pay attention! read more

Anabel needs to be fired. She is rude and tries to up charge people. I had an item with no tag. Another employee helped me locate a similar item and told me to bring it to check out along with the item I wanted to purchase. I did just that and Anabel refused to honor the price and found an item double the cost and said that's what she was going to charge me. read more

If you enjoy feathering your nest, a bit of a retail hunt, and those red Clearance stickers, you're probably a HomeGoods enthusiast. I visited this HG location in La Canada today and found some beautiful sea blue Made in Italy ceramic bowls and plates for under $15 total, but easily could have bought more (throw pillows! hand towels! cookware!). Although the aisles were a bit too narrow (lots of excuse mes, at least the other customers were polite!) and there was some disarray (to be expected), it's easy to find your way through the store to your desired section. From fancy pastas to honey, their gourmet food section is up front as well as their seasonal decor. They had several huge decor items, including a gigantic rooster piece and a Day of the Dead lady (retailing for $450), you could easily impulse buy here. I would stick to the home staples and cute small accent pieces personally- they also have a nice section of pet supplies and cat furniture. It's in a shopping center with a dedicated parking garage as well as easy outside parking and a loading area for large goods. Worth a look if you're in the area or don't mind a scenic drive in the foothills. read more

I love all things called HomeGoods.. so much I applied for a credit card to start redecorating my apartment..I had no idea they also part of TJMaxx and Marshall's. Even when I'm not looking to buy I just like coming here to get ideas of what I would want to do. I find this store to always be very clean and organized... Yes it's alittle pricey but it's ready to go... no assembly required so I'll pay for that compared to some other furniture warehouse store where I need a rocket science degree to read the instructions. Can't wait for that credit card to come in the mail.. I've already spotted my new living room coffee table. read more

Very poor customer service from the manager who was working on 1/6/23 at this location. Two of the same items were priced at two different prices, one was $13 and one was $25. When I asked to price match them, she LIED and told me that the expiration dates on them were different, trying to justify the almost double markup. When I asked to see the expiration dates, they were the same! She realized she couldn't get away with that answer so she then claimed that they were received at different times and that if I wanted the exact same item I'd have to pay almost DOUBLE for the second one. If I wanted it on discount, I'd have to come back a week later. Talk about customer service! Funny thing is, a few days prior at the same location I bought the same item for $13 and the manager on that day price matched the second one, $25, to that, saying it was mis priced. This review is only 2 stars because of my prior positive experience. Do better! read more

So. I usually go here for a quick peak before or after lunch at Taylor's steakhouse across the way. What am I looking for ? Well that's the thing about home goods, rarely are you "looking" for anything in specific when you walk in there. However in the summer months which have now become retail Halloween my friends and I all have each others decor back. When one shops we shop for all the sign of true friendship indeed. Now although there are probably better home goods in the world this one is mine. Glendale is also a good option if you're really hunting for that one item. That being said, if you're shopping seasonal 4th of July is now halloween and Labor Day is Christmas. Go out and find what you didn't know you were looking for. Always inspect for chips and cracks and stay away from the food unless it's a tried and true brand for you. Employees are always super friendly and I gave them 5 stars because more than once they've held items for me while I whisked around in shenanigan mode. Be nice and remember if you're shopping here it's because you're beguiled by a bargain not to act like a queen bee. read more

Came here for the first time and was blown away how big this HomeGoods is . Love it. The employees though all had stank faces . No one smiled , as if they didn't want to be there . I'm loving these HomeGoods stores. I have been to two locations on Foothill. One in La Canada and one in Pasadena. They are both organized and well stocked. They are like a TJ Max or a Ross minus the clothes, but better. They mostly carry furniture, kitchen items, lamps, bedding, rugs, etc. Some of their items may seem a bit pricey, but the quality is definitely worth the price here. On my most recent visit, I bought two foot stools for $30 a pop, some bathroom items and bedroom items for all under $80. In my opinion the La Canada location seems a bit smaller, but I find the parking and the goods to be slightly better in quality. Less damaged goods and less foot traffic is always a plus. read more

Treasure island is what I refer to when I want to come to HomeGoods. I love this store because they always have such cute stuff for decent prices. However this location is small, cramped, and a mess! And when I say mess I mean MESS. I couldn't even walk through certain aisles like the children's section because so much stuff scattered the floor. I understand that this is likely due to irresponsible people but maybe you guys should put less stuff out to ensure a smaller mess if that makes sense. Don't over stuff the shelves and simply but stuff out once things sell. Overall though this place does have treasures you'll find under all the stuff. Staff is also pretty helpful and they do offer 10% off if the item has a scratch / flaw on it but 10% is the max because the items they get in cannot really be discounted even more. Overall though good finds! Found a kate Spade blanket for 25$! read more

So first I have to start with this is probably might go to HomeGoods because the parking is convenient and there's always a really good selection of products for all areas of the home, and they are constantly rotating in new inventory and the clearance sections are amazing. However I have to comment as today I found an amazing chair that I absolutely loved and it was on clearance. I requested that someone help me take it out to the curb and the associate Terry, I hope I'm spelling that right, went absolutely above and beyond to help me get this big chair into my car. When we realize that the car wouldn't fit with the legs on she radioed another associate and asked for them to bring out an Allen wrench so we could takeoff the legs really quickly and be able to tilt the chair into my car in a way where it would actually fit. During the time we were waiting for the Allen wrench to come out Terry told me about her recent experiences it was very kind and warm and open and just keeping up a conversation with me while we waited. I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to meet her and it's very clear that she is an excellent employee just with how she interacts on a personable level. read more

This store deserves a negative 0 Today is November 25, 2017 the store opened at 7:00am no one was in the store EXCEPT cleaning personnel. My daughter and I were browsing there were DIRT PILES of trash on the floor. A cleaner lady comes with an industrial broom on the aisle we were on and proceeds to say excuse me and moving us off the aisle while getting close to our feet. We're the customer why should we move and why is this type of work being done during open hours! We kept browsing and here comes the lady again on the aisle were on sweeping trash this time I didn't move it was as if she was intentionally following us and being rude! As we were walking to the register I saw another couple and heard the couple say "rude" and they left the store. We went to the register and the cleaning workers were giving us dirty looks. What kind of Management is this store under? I called once we left the store and spoke to a STEPHANIE (STORE MANAGER WHO WAS UNAPOLOGETIC) and even rude in her tone- her reply was that normally the cleaning associates are from an agency by the name of "blended" and they're not usually there during open hours of the store.I advised her that they should be hidden on how inhumane they acted. I will be writing in to the District store manager and escalating the issue since little Stephanie didn't have it in her to show empathy or even protect the brand of this company! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. This store should be called HOME HORRID!!!! read more

Retail hell! The employees are trained rats. They aren't empowered and aren't allowed to think for themselves. I have about 20 years of retail experience. I go in there today to exchange out a couple plates and a couple bowls from two different sets. The finish was off on three of them and one plate was cracked. I went back with these bad pieces, the boxes the sets came in, and the RECEIPT (1 week old). All I needed was to swap out two bowls and two plates from other sets. I let them know when I came in, I had an exchange. Luckily they had one of each set. I got everything and went and went to the register. I wait at least five minutes to get to the register. I let the cashier know of the return. I explain that I only need to exchange out two bowls and two plates. I told them they can use my receipt to do the return if they need to. They said, we can't do that. It is against our policy. You need to bring the whole set back. What? So what you're saying is that I have to go get the other set to exchange out for something that may very well just be as flawed at what we already bought? I can't just have the four pieces replaced? This is asinine! You will still have a set to mark out. You will still be whole. I could just as easily buy the other set put it together in my car and return it a few minutes later. I ask to speak to the manager. The cashier points to her badge that says store management, not manager. You have no customer service skills. You have no ability to reason. You shouldn't be working retail. And, if by the off chance it really is the company that is this screwed up, may they go bankrupt because of horrible business practices. read more

This is specifically about the manager Olga. She has very poor customer service skills and is rude. I honestly felt as if she was discouraging me and did not want me to make that purchase. I wanted to purchase something that had a small break in it and I tried my best to find one that wasn't broken but was successful so I asked for a discount. She had a long line and still went looking for what she said was the original piece of what I was purchasing. When she finally came back I explained to her that it was the only one I found. She said that they didn't belong together. I found them together and there was only one price tag so I asked her why she wanted to charge two separate prices and she said because someone made a mistake. Quite possibly the worst service I've ever received...but then again this is a discount store so it shouldn't surprise me... Here's what happened...I approached a sales associate and asked her for help...She gave me a blank stare and said 'I don't know...' There was no effort made on her part to try and help me whatsoever... I was shocked by her dismissive responsive...by her tone I would have thought that I mistook a customer for an employee... In hindsight she seemed quite dim...she informed me that she 'just puts stuff back'...maybe they should give those people special outfits instead of the generic home goods apron...maybe dunce caps...just a thought... Got a bunch of decorative tables here for the different rooms in my dental practice and they are great. The front office staff tell me that they get so many compliments on the furniture in the reception area now. I found everything that I was looking for and the assortment was really very good. Lots of parking and clean and convenient. Good and lasting experience. read more

I'd say this is a good home goods store with lots of selection. The staff are very helpful and the line seems to move quickly. The only downside is that it's quite messy. I suppose it's quite difficult to keep up with all the assortment of inventory they have, but it would be nice if the shelves were organized a little better. Hours are good too! read more

This Homegoods is so awesome. It is HUGE and filled with so many amazing gorgeous things. I found a very large necked vase here to use in my kitchen to hold all my big spoons and spatulas. I love shopping at Home Goods but definitely stay away from the La Canada location. This store is very messy, staff is very rude. It seems they only cater to customers of Armenia. They make you very uncomfortable when they constantly speak their language and makes you feel they are talking about you. Also they do not practice Social Distancing. I am forced to travel to Valencia or Pasadena stores, where it is more enjoyable to shop. Sad that Home Goods allows this race to feel so entitled. read more

This place is like Ross without the clothes. Plenty of bargain prices on goods for your home. They also have some small food items, dog and kids toys. The reason why I'm giving this place a 3 star is because, just like Ross where things can be scattered everywhere....it's the same thing here. The aisles are a mess a lot of times due to other bargain shoppers not being respectful and putting things back the way they found it. Also, the customer service at this place is lacking severely. The employees appear to not want to help you, or give you that vibe like "don't ask me to do more than lift a finger for you." The location is luckily the biggest plus because it's near some great food places like Blaze Pizza or the Habit. But if this place shined inside and out, I wouldn't have to bring up other surrounding stores.....right?! read more
