Today my Mom and I were at the food court located at The Square shopping center. There is The…read moreSquare Plus retail store that is also within the food court area... the name is so fitting as the shopping center is called The Square LOL. Anyway, we looked over and saw dustpans. I've been wanting to buy a new dustpan because the old one was damaged when I had to use it to shovel snow a few weeks back when the high desert had a snowstorm. Yes, you read right... I used a dustpan to shovel snow (1st time shoveling snow + using a dustpan to do it) LOL... it wasn't too bad actually. One gray dustpan was $4.49 + tax... not too shabby and it's the sturdy type, too. I didn't check out any other items in the shop, but from what I can tell, they do have some nifty knick knacks, small appliances, general household stuff, etc. It doesn't have a lot of space for customers to walk around though... there are only 2 aisles really... the one closest to the entrance and the one on the other side of the wall LOL. I grabbed one dustpan, waited in line (wait wasn't too bad), and paid cash for it. The lady at the cashier was pleasant. She may have been the owner... not 100% sure though. If you happen to be hanging out at the food court, swing on by and see what fun stuff you can pick up from here. Happy Shopping!

Pretty cool retail shop…read more Located within the food court, this shop is packed filled with asian appliances like rice cookers, steamers, and water boilers. Great for getting specific asian appliances that are difficult to find on Amazon or other big-chain appliance stores like Best Buy etc. They also sell a lot of little tiny tools, such as cookware etc. Feels kind of like Daiso. Overall, a pretty neat place to visit and check things out!

When I entered "Crazy 99," in Temple City, I needed a chair. The floor staff gave me one at first,…read morebut when I got up to shop, the white woman in charge had it taken away. The aisles were too crowded. I had a walker. My friend, in a wheelchair, had a difficult time managing. Something got caught on his wheelchair, and it wouldn't let go. Finally, my friend is a wounded veteran. That's why he uses a wheelchair. He rarely uses his benefits card. He had asked the day before the benefits worker about the parameter of card usage. The worker didn't explain that his card was only for FOOD. He had an exorbitant amount of credit, but it could only be used for food. At the check out, the white woman must have known the rule, because she bagged the food separately from the non-food. She shamed him for making a long line. Maybe had we been white-not me black and female and him Vietnamese and male-disabled or if I had had sex that time, then maybe she would have been respectful. I'm the daughter of a deceased veteran and my friend in the wheelchair, wounded from the war in Iraq. She should try harder. Oh, yes, she was the only one of the staff that was proficient in English. Had the business truly been accommodating, there would have been more space for wheelchairs and walkers. Also, a sitting area for elders and disabled would be there. Finally, common courtesy may go a long way.

Possibly one of the best well stocked Daiso's I've ever been to…read more They have so many different offerings and even different merch lines within Daiso. Everything is so cute and mainly at $2.25 unless otherwise stated. I came in for some stationary items and boy, did I leave with a basket full. They have such cute party supplies, stationary items, storage, and the cutest helpfulest kitchen gadgets. This Daiso is so well stocked and well maintained.

They usually also participate in the Milkyway Marketplace events that occur at Atlantic Times Square. Stock is pretty decent and I've never really seen things out of stock. I've mostly seen them restock random things there or have huge boxed shipments in random spots of the store. Staff probably getting ready to add more things in. Sad day that Daiso is like $2.25 for items now, but le sigh, tis the society we live in. Sometimes things in certain aisles, like the storage, oshikatsu, stationery aisle are shoved everywhere and not as organized, but if they don't have a lot of staff, I can see why this wouldn't be a priority. They have self check out. Sometimes I've been here where the AC is barely on or not all of the lights are on, which is pretty funny, but not overly detrimental.

I would suggest parking on E. Live Oak St, rather than on San Gabriel. Besides the fact that San…read moreGabriel is a super busy street that backs up with traffic, if you decide to buy a bigger item that needs to be picked up from their back warehouse, you have easier access to get in, instead of circling your car around the block. The prices here, in-person can be better and even more discounted than on their website, depending on what inventory they need to clear out. There are lots of chairs, like office chairs, gaming chairs, dining chairs, bar stools, that you can get for a really, really, REALLY good price. I'm not gonna say they're the best quality, but I think it's perfect if you need to quickly furnish a place on a budget, ie - a college student needing a desk, chair, etc for a dorm or an apartment. I would say, try sitting on the stuff in store before you buy to test it's durable enough for your usage. You have to imagine that stuff this cheap is built as mail-order stuff for skinny Asians. I picked up a side table that's lasted the better part of a year, so far. I was SUPER tempted to get a fluffy cat tree for $20. Some cool selection of outdoor furniture. And even some random household things, like a clothes steamer. The thing is, I get the sense that their inventory is rather randomized. But I think you'll find some cool deals or something useful for a bargain if you take stroll and walk around. Their pricing puts a lot of other "outlet" warehouse furniture stores to shame.

TL;DR: Cheap quality stuff at low prices…read more Saw this place advertised on some social media video and it's kind of close by and we were looking for outdoor furniture so we decided to go take a look. The room is pretty big so thought there was going to be a lot of good stuff. Looking around the place it became quickly apparent that this stuff is really just overstock stuff. Sitting in the chairs and feeling the fabric of the furniture you can tell the quality is somewhat lower which is reflected in the prices. After walking around for a few minutes we decided to leave. The prices are good but the stuff just seems disposable. Like you just replace them every year. We just didn't find anything worthwhile and the social media post was obviously an exaggeration and just had to pass. Only go if you want low prices over quality. But we had to pass.
