April 24, 2026 | Alhambra | After arriving in Pasadena one hour early before seeing a movie, my friend & I decided to stop at The Dollar Tree! She and I had so much fun seeing all of the party items! We were quite excitable while walking through the store! Haha! Party Central | The drinkware was so colorful & fun: cups that gave ocean blue mermaid vibes, fun palm trees, neon cameras, a variety of fruit, and so much more! There were even cute little paper straws with cute paper animal decorations! There were colorful plates, party, platters, colorful pitchers & more cute items that make you want to have a party! Fun! Fun Items | There were so many pretty gift bags, journals, and pens! I even spotted funny flavors of canned coffees including Snickers, Twix & Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Haha! I don't drink coffee at all, but it was interesting to see! Inside | Huge store, both the neat and tidy, and a huge parking lot! Sighting | We got to meet a cute little dog who had on a jersey! Maybe he wasn't the friendliest at first, but when I placed my hand basket down, kneeled down in my dress, & he saw the snacks in my basket, his attitude changed quickly! He suddenly wanted to be my best friend! Hahaha! Music Unites in the Parking Lot | While excitedly chatting about going to see the Michael Jackson movie, we met a woman in the parking lot! She was so much fun to talk to, as she had fun stories to tell about actually being at actual Michael Jackson concerts! We also met a guy who told us about some of the filming of the new Michael Jackson movie! Imagine that! This Dollar Tree is HUGE! The selection is great and service was nice! The viral Touchland dupes are WELL STOCKED in this location! The variety is great and the aisles were spacious! I definitely recommend this Dollar Tree for anyone who wants to find something that the other Dollar Trees don't have. TIP: There's ample parking and lights so the parking lot isn't dimly lit! read more

Everything is so organized and clean. The aisles are nice and fat so you can walk and have nice space. The parking lot is huge so that's never an issue. Their produce section is small but still nice. Prices are great considering inflation. The team members are friendly as well. read more

We have been shopping around at the Dollar Tree for many years they carry big names items including their genetic brand. They carry many items like household products,candys,food items including frozen food items and other items they in the Dollar items. Their staff are very friendly and also helpful if can't find the item you are looking for. We have been to different Dollar Tree in locations including this Dollar Tree in Alhambra. read more

So glad that Dollar Tree has taken over this former 99-cents store... 4 stars!!!! Happy that 99-cents store building was only empty for a few months and Dollar Tree will be serving the surrounding communities from South Pasadena to Alhambra to East Los Angeles. Unlike two closest Dollar Trees in Alhambra (Valley Blvd) and Monterey Park (Atlantic Blvd), this location offers bigger square footage which results in wider aisles. There's also lots of natural light thanks to the big windows up front. There's way more space to move around and browse at this location! Why just 4 stars? Since there's space, wishing that Dollar Tree will carry produce and more frozen items like the old 99-cents stores. Are you reading this corporate? Parking lot is also the same. When it's busy, the parking lot can get pretty full, but there's always plenty of free street parking within a short walking distance. read more

They took over the 99 cent store. This store is huge and the selections were well spread. I walked into the store looking for some Christmas things, but it didn't seem to have many available. There were a lot of empty spaces in the Christmas section. I'm not sure if it's because of lack of supply, or they still haven't finished stocking the store. It looked really empty inside. Anyways, i think this store is still a work in progress location. Give it some time to fill their aisles with things. read more

This was our neighborhood 99-cents store until a few months ago. With that massive and unfortunate closure of all stores...some stores were selected to become "Dollar Trees" and this is one of them. We were in the area and decided to stop by on a whim. According to a friendly worker, this location opened yesterday. We are glad to see that the building has remained and it will be serving many communities from the local area. Store footprint remains the same! Many older stores are cramped and a bit dark...but this location offers wide aisles, low shelving, lots of windows for natural light, and a very nice selection of goods. In fact, it felt just like its former iteration when we walked in. Parking lot is also the same. It can get quite busy as this location is right in the middle of several different neighborhoods and it serves varied demographic groups of people. This location has always been popular and has always been a staple of the community. Glad to see that the neighborhood has welcomed it back! read more

I'm adding this store to my prayers, because after the 99¢ store closed this feels like the next best place when money is tight. It's super clean and the prices are incredible, almost like stepping into a time capsule. I hope it stays here forever for families, struggling students, and singles without savings. Where else can you get a frozen breakfast biscuit for $1.25 or a desktop tray at the same price? It feels like a small but powerful gesture of compassion against pure capitalism. read more

they have no accommodations for shoppers with disabilities to take their purchases to their vehicles. they don't allow the carts out of the store which I'm sure violates the federal ADA guidelines. whatever happened to good "customer service"? smh ‍ read more

We are so impressed for the location that grand open near to our home. We went to shop some items today and we were so disappointed and disrespected customer service by a sales associate Lillian. She asked to scan the items while I was waiting in the line and for toe customer in front of me to pay. I'm not even realized my girl holding something and played with it and she asked again she needed to scan. I was still thinking like she means to the item that going to check out until she pointed to my daughter. So by her attitude and expression is assuming we were not gonna pay for $1.50 but we were paying for the six item that already placed in the check out counter. Not sure it's misunderstanding or she really means that. But she let the customer feel like we are here to steal! Not even an apology for her service behavior! Good luck to the store for this kind of sale associate and service. We rather drive back to Rosemead store for better service quality instead of going back to be as a thief! read more

Tried calling the store 4 times, no one answered. Went in only needing two balloons and when it came time to check out, sales associate Bianca was rude and unprofessional. First of all she had attitude, second she was on her phone not paying attention and had to ask the same question multiple times because she was distracted with her phone. Love the dollar tree and as a former cashier at another location I am disappointed to see new cashiers either not being taught proper customer service and just basic professionalism in a work space or just flat out ignoring company policy. read more

This ISA new store bur most shelves are empty and no signs of Christmas only Valentine. What's up? Really. A Sad store.

This is no replacement for our 99c only store. Gone are all our fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy and gourmet food close outs. The refrigerated case is now nothing but junk food. Canned food selection is just a couple of shelves. Gone are the high end pet foods from Blue Buffalo and Natural Balance. They sell all the cheap stuff from China without the surprise finds the 99c used to provide. The store looks empty too. So sad. read more

Good selections and prices right, almost everything costs $1.25 from paper goods to Little pantry foods. Cleaning detergent and wipes napkins are good buy. read more
