This is regarded as one of my girlfriend's favorite discount stores. When we're nearby, we always make a stop to see what they have. This Dollar "twenty-five" Tree has a smaller selection of items due to the size of the store. However, if you're looking for a location with less traffic, this is it. I went into the store to go find a couple of things and I end up spending a lot of time to find them because they were all like shoved into the back of the aisles and everything and I don't get why they have a barrier for part of the beauty section like I hit my hand multiple times and I was just really annoying and a lot of stuff were on the bottom and you couldn't even reach that not only that but I went to check out and there were two cashiers well. It was supposedly only one cashier, but then another lady came up and opened a new line and I went to that new line I put all my stuff on the thing and you know that's pretty accurate to my day right and she asks me if I want a bag and I'm like yeah I want a bag, but I think that she may have some hearing problems. Or not, but I said it loud and clear even my mother who was walking away to go put back the cart after we put all our stuff on the conveyor could hear me and the lady she thought that I was ignoring her, but I was loud and clear, and she just was scanning my stuff and throwing it on the other side of the cash register part or the checkout area and I thought she forgot about the bag, but apparently she couldn't hear me even though I was right in front of her and she kept turning away to go look for stuff in the back and she kept humming and then I asked her about the bag where she didn't give me why she was throwing my stuff on the other Side and then she gives me the most snarky response ever in like the most attitude she's like "you didn't say that like" no yes I did. She proceeds to roll her eyes and scoff at me and my mom. You just didn't hear me and then I apologize to her like if I was too quiet then I'm sorry. I should've spoke louder then but you don't need to say it in that voice. It was just a misunderstanding and if she gets the bag and she starts, shoving all the stuff into the bag and you know what I just want to get out of there right and I pay and the receipt comes out as she keeps throwing stuff in there. After that she gets the bag as she shoves it towards me and my mom she's like "here go, are you happy now???"like I was so nice to her and because it was a misunderstanding, I kept apologizing and she was ignoring me, and she was rolling her eyes and stuff like there's no reason to be so rude especially to a customer I wasn't even being rude to you. I was just trying to fix something that was a confusion between the both of us like there's no need for that. read more

We had a long line at 4:55 pm on Saturday 8/23/25 and was stalled due to a customer wanting 15 ballon's and no one at the register to get the line going... With common sense it's best to get the customers out of the store maybe suggest when you have a long line call for back up and if employees or management are doing something else it needs to hold.. there were 2 employees in the office while 1 employee at the register who is now doing balloons coming to a standstill at the register.. I understand dollar tree is limited in financially but regardless this was unacceptable, hoping they will get it right next time read more

Just so people are aware, most items are now $1.25, not a dollar anymore. They should call it the Dollar 25 Tree. However they also raised prices by a quarter at Daiso, and some items like plastic party table cloths are still cheaper here. Customer service and employee is really rude. They don't really care about customers though people do shop at dollar tree because of their cheap inexpensive products. People like to buy $1 items because we can get away with the price point. I would spend an extra $1.50 and support Daiso Japan instead. Daiso Japan offers $1.50+ price point items that are high quality in similarity to dollar tree. They are also just down the street so there isn't really any reason not to travel like an additional 0.5 miles to be taken care. I called the day before to see if they accepted returns and they said "yes we accept returns and exchanges at ANY STORE within 30 days of the original receipt day". I show up to the store and she automatically gives me attitude, doesn't help me and then opens another register to help other guest when I was first in line. Apparently they don't do returns so I went ahead and called the store in front of her to let her what they told me and she still refused to listen to the store policy. Cashier Ash forgot to place an item that I paid for. When I returned to the store she insisted on looking at my receipt when the transaction had taken place less than 15 minutes prior. She claimed the item "fell on the floor" that's why it was not in my bag when I arrived home. Instead of making it seem as the customer was the blame in this situation she should have acknowledged that SHE FORGOT TO PLACE THE ITEM IN THE BAG AND NOT REQUIRE PROOF OF PURCHASE FOR A TRANSACTION THAT ASH DID HERSELF. If I myself dropped the item out of my bag I could have understood, but my husband and I were looking at the FLOOR BECAUSE A BABY LEFT A PACIFIER that WAS STILL THERE when I returned. NOT ONLY DID I SPEND MORE IN GAS TO MAKE A DOUBLE ROUND TRIP the entire Dollar Tree staff supported this POOR customer service! read more

I didn't get the cashier's name, but major brownie points for her who offered to run all the way to the other side of the store to pull several car air fresheners for me to choose from. Gosh, I could have done it myself... But she insisted because I was already at the cash register paying for my things. This what I call awesome service with a smile! I would definitely hire an employee such as her who is motivated, eager, friendly, and probably enjoys her job too. We definitely need more people like her. It was too funny when I told her that she runs faster than me! And that I was timing her, well at least pretending. This particular dollar is quite big. Yes, everything is a buck +tax. But, my bottle of hand sanitizer was only .50¢. They are well stocked with a lot of items ranging from some frozen foods, to party supplies, to toiletries. Oh yeah, and my car's air freshener. Very convenient location as it is still pretty close to my workout place. This store use to be a Chinese supermarket, then it became a day care center for adults, and now a Dollar Store. One of my favorite stores! I first learned about Dollar Tree when I was in Las Vegas. We were shopping exclusively at 99 Cents Only stores when my sister's friend told us that she thought that the quality of Dollar Tree was better. Of course, we had to go and compare! My sister got some books for herself and her daughters. I got artificial flowers for my cemetery visits to decorate the graves of my relatives. Here in Los Angeles, Dollar Trees also seem to be popular. We were having Chinese food for dinner next door, so we stopped in. I knew I had space in my luggage, so I looked for greeting cards, cute notebooks, useful Post-it Notes and flashlights for my aides, and other odds and ends. This is one of my local Dollar Trees. Although this one is the cleanest and most organized it's my least favorite for a few reasons... For starters, this location seems to get in the very basic DT merchandise. If you are a frequent Dollar Tree shopper then you know what I mean when I say that they don't get the "good stuff". All Dollar Trees don't carry the same items which is why I visit all of my local Dollar Trees. Secondly, is your customer restroom really always out of order or are you just not letting customers use them just because? Every time I go into this location it's always closed with a cardboard "out of order" sign on it! Don't give us the "because of Covid" crap or that you close it due to the homeless because the other locations have their restroom fully accessible to their customers. Just monitor and clean it like you should. Lastly, I went in to exchange three items (quality issues) that I purchased the previous day. I ended up shopping and purchasing a lot more. Once I got to the register the girl in charge said she couldn't accept the return for one of my three because it had been opened. I explained that I was returning them because the lids didn't fit easily and break when pressure is applied. She, along with another employee, spent time trying to apply the lid and held up the long line behind me. If this girl was made management then she needs to be trained on how to make better decisions and use better judgement. Friday 2/10 I went to buy 2 helium balloons. I mean I have before and they actually had some around the store. The cashier said they didn't have any but I was literally looking at them. I said ohhh ok (yes I was confused) She then says all we have are those (little ballon with a stick) I said oh that's fine I can take those. Those small balloons needed a boost of helium since they were deflating. I asked the cashier if she could add a little more she said we have no helium. ( yes I was still confused) I said oohhh ok so why would you sell deflated balloons?! I know it's not her fault but whoever is managing there should put a sign saying there isn't any helium. Normally, I like this store. But not all of their products are good. I've bought 4 different types of night lights on 4 different occasions. 1 worked for a week or two then stopped working. The next 3 lights barely lasted 24 hrs. I can't return them (at all) once it's been opened. But how do you know if it works w/o opening it and trying it? Came here late last night, it's clean and the employees are consistently friendly. I come here often, as a mother, and I just went a little overboard with the Valentine's stuff- cards, candy, bags, headbands, silly glasses, etc. Really good place to get seasonal stuff for the classroom, little gifts for friends, etc. I'll get table cloths here too. I like having dollar tree at this location. This dollar tree is bigger and cleaner than other dollar trees. When I need to get things or party/event supplies at short notice, this is my go-to place. If I have time, I like to browse through every aisle to see if I can find some hidden gems. I think 1 time, I stayed here for an hour because some of the things that they sell were interesting. Parking is easy most of the time since they have their designated parking spaces. I try to come here as much as I can because I rather have dollar tree here than any other businesses that were at this location before. I just left dollar tree on Atlantic. I was horrified when I noticed that a black person walk in and ask to use the bathroom. The employee told him that the bathroom was broken when in fact I noticed that when a white female asked for the bathroom keys, an employee was glad to open the bathroom door for her!! When I confronted the manager, she stated that the guy was homeless and will most likely be stealing. I told her she was being racist but she of course said that she wasn't. This was my go to location for Dollar Tree when I lived in San Gabriel Valley. It is bigger than the one on Valley Blvd. Their items are well stocked most of the time. I like to come here for gift bags. They have an awesome gift wrapping/party supply section. When Christmas is around the corner, I like to come here for my gift wrapping items. Service has always been good here. Parking is a little limited. It is shared with a plaza and restaurant next to it. I would avoid morning to 1pm on weekends because of people going go the restaurant for dim sum. read more

This location has the best customer service I've received at any Dollar Tree! Like seriously! When we asked for balloons, the cashier Kristina, quickly asked for backup so that the folks waiting behind us didn't have to wait for forever. It was professionally done and Rachel came rushing and immediately helped out. It was so fluid and the team work was beautiful! Positivity in their tone of voices and can-do attitudes. Kristina got our balloons but when she told us they were out of the color I wanted, it was Rachel who recommended that she look in the back for more. Amazing! She went in the back, totally went above and beyond, and found a fresh new box! What!! Yes!! It totally made my night. Someone give these two employees a raise!! No joke! read more

Dear Yelpers, After several months looking for a specific item at several Dollar Tree stores in Alhambra, Pasadena, Montebello and the surrounding cities, I've finally found a store that had my item! Respectfully, I didn't ask for the item at the other stores, but the store clerk at this particular store asked me, "are you finding what you're looking for?" This simple question prompted me to ask for this item. She told me that I can ask the store manager, Rachael, to see if the item was in stock. Rachael gladly clocked out of the cash register to take the time to looked up the item with her scanner and found them in her storage room. It takes a great store manager to train their staff to provide great customer service. I hope her manager finds this post to give Rachael and her staff a great employee review. Came here with my mom to get a few things and while we are checking out in the first lane a worker named heather comes and tells us to go to isle 2 instead when we already had all of our stuff out of the shopping cart and I have a broken foot with a cast. Glad to see how helpful and accommodating she was to us ( just kidding ! ) she then proceeded to help another customer on isle 1 where we were originally so for some reason she chose who she wanted to help and tossed us to the side.
