This store is required by law to recycle bottles for cash, but even the manager on duty didn't know how to do it. (I overheard he wasn't trained on it) Then an employee proceed to lie that they are too busy to do it and only certain people can do it and told me to come back on Monday... cmon it's Saturday. If your reason is busy then how about in like 15-20mins? Can't you do it then??? Why come back on Monday??? If your whole shift don't know or how to do it, just be honest!!! Don't lie to my face like that!

Can't deny a great deal nowadays. I'm pretty sure I stopped by this location at least 3 times this week. That's a luxury in my opinion have an abundance of grocery stores in a condensed area. I'm surprised that Grocery Outlet never has a full lot. I love coming here for such great deals on groceries and common house hold items. There is a different type of satisfaction when you're saving money and getting great deals. There is a wide variety products and new ones pretty often. I see it as a treasure hunt and what I might find on my next trip. Their selection has expanded over the years since they have opened. There was only a one in a million chance that the product I needed was sold out (more because there was a deal it).

Chobani Greek yogurt strawberry flavored. It's $5.59 but it's a day late from the expiration date.

Came here because I received a gift card from a friend of mine. I purchased this chobani Greek yogurt but it's already expired. And any items that are expired should not be on the shelf for customers to buy. Employees should is pay a little attention on each food item and throw away items that are expired. But other than that, it was an alright experience.

Pascual Castro. I walked in the store today and walked down the first aisle to look at the metal water bottles. About 90 seconds later this man comes up and says what did you put in your pocket ? Confused I said, what ?! He said show me your pockets, i show him that all I had in my pocket were my wallet and keys. He says, must be someone else. DOES NOT APOLOGIZE or say anything to for the mistake. I ask him, who said I put something in my pocket ? He refuses to tell me anything. I say, show me footage of anything close to me trying to put anything in my pocket. He says, leave my store. I said, because your falsely accused me and are embarrassed, you're asking me to leave ??? What kind of business practice is this ? I proceed to purchase the 2 items that I initially came in for and left. I've never been so upset or even accused of anything like this EVER. Needless to say I will NEVER come back

Background On Visits: I'm a fan of snacking and have a confession. I'm guilty of walking/driving to this location with intentions to buy chips, cookies, or drinks and eat them while I am in transit. SHAME *DING* SHAME *DING* Restrooms: There is a restroom available. Ask a cashier for the key. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Cash: It's accepted but due to the coin shortage, they prefer that you give them the exact change. Location/Parking: Believe it or not, but this grocery shop use to be Fresh and Easy. Once they got bought out, the named changed to Grocery Outlet. Fun facts are cooool! Located in the back of East West bank on the corner of Rosemead Blvd and Valley Blvd. Decent amount of parking spaces for all. If you can't find a spot, you can park on Steele St. or along Valley Blvd. Postivos: 1) Prices on most items usually lower than other grocery shops. 2) You get to try out brands that you've never heard of before. 3) Staffers for the most part are friendly and attentive. 4) They have discounts on wine. Stay thirsty, mis amigos Negativos: 1) Wait time can be long to pay for your produce. There's usually one or two check out lines open at one time 2) Make sure you look at the expiration date. In the past, I have purchased things that were heavily discounted because of how close it was to the expiration date. Fin!

Plenty of parking since this is located in such a huge plaza, so huge in fact that I would rather opt to park here than many of the other plazas within walking distance. So huge that I saw a dude practice basketball here at night without a basketball hoop in sight. Iconic and I hope he's balling out there, wherever he may be. There's security at the front and a good number of cashiers open so despite how crowded it is (at least on a Thursday mid morning), I was checked out quite efficiently. Like many other 99 Ranch, there's a bakery, hot foods area, seafood, butcher, and much more. It's not the cleanest, as I did see some wilted, not the freshest produce and some flies here and there (as well as some of the baked goods looking mushed into bags), but not outwardly awful. The variety isn't as good as I thought it would be, at least in comparison to my home 99 Ranch, but I was able to at least find some giftable chili oil. Not bad for a quick stop, but definitely do some price comparisons since there's lots of Asian markets nearby.

What really stood out is the value--you can load up your sandwich and still keep it under $10. They also have combo options where you can get a drink and a bag of chips for $5.99, making it an easy and affordable meal. Quick, convenient, and budget-friendly. The older Hispanic ladies who make the sandwiches in the morning = amazing. Love them. They are warm, kind, quick, and attention-detailed. The sandwiches they make? Literally chef's kiss! Heaven on earth! Now onto the men who the make the sandwiches later in the day. Complete night and day. Watching them make sandwiches is like watching Down Syndrome people compete in the Special Olympics or the infants race in those baby crawl races. No directions, no focus, no sense of urgency. Think of the slothes working at the DMV from Zootopia. They talk to each other. They stare at the sandwich order print outs. They make the sandwiches haphazardly. And they still get the sandwiches wrong! How can you make sandwiches wrong when the pace has been so leisurely?? Since the location matched, we decided to park and head inside. OhMyGosh! This store should have its own zip code.. it's huge! And like many other Asian markets we frequent, there are "stores within the store".. but this place is on another level! The layout is simple to maneuver, produce prices are marked well with digital signs.. I just wish that the veggies and herbs were labeled a little better for my novice eyes. I found 5 different items all called "mint", with no labels on the individual packages. I wanted to buy Vietnamese Lemon Mint (Kinh Gioi), Spicy Mint (Hung Cay), Perilla Leaves/Shiso (Lá Tía Tô) and had to ask a couple of employees for help to identify the right items. Everyone was really friendly and did their best to help me out! I never did find the Thai basil, but to be honest that was me forgetting because I was just overwhelmed with the great selection and pricing for everything! I need to learn to cook all of those beautiful green veggies.. I felt healthier just standing among them! The store is extremely well stocked and they keep it clean. I wasn't picking up any funky odors that you find at some markets.. I know my eyes saw hundreds of products that I never knew existed!
