As past employee of this store for many many 46 years, I must say staff and store very lively and clean. Some front-end people absolute gems, very nice. My least favorite part, ohhhh the whiny and lazy customers. Yes YOU. God, nothing more headache than you. It sadden me to share this place as it was one of my go to places for work lunch quite enough times to call it one of my regular spots. I typically order this via uber eats or DoorDash so it's not a review based off of the actually physical pick up this I cannot comment on the environment of the place. The service is typical quick as I don't have issues with my deliveries arriving late. They sometimes have this $10 tuna lover deal that I think is a good bang for the buck (photo shared below). Thus, the 2nd star given. This post however is to beware those that are purchasing food from this place like me via third party delivery service. I ordered a platter & shu mai along and was given completely FROZEN shu mai with sauce drizzle over it don't know how they quality check the food ... also that platter instead of what's advertised, was all California rolls instead of the variety so needless to say ... it was a disappointing lunch day... I read this Ralph's fry fish so I arrived at 11:30am on MLK day to try it. I asked before hand yes they fry it. I bought 2 pieces of catfish to be fried $10.55. The fish guy says he uses Cajun seasoning for the fish. The wait is 15 min so I walked around the aisles. The aisles are clean and well stocked. At 15min, my fish was ready. It's lightly fried which it broke apart when I tried to move it to my plate. I couldn't taste the Cajun seasoning. Otherwise the fish tastes fine. Nice place to get fried fish. read more

As if it's not hard enough to be black in America today, Ralph has updated their self check out software to sit there and take video so that clerks can replay live whenever the machine assumes you are stealing. If you are too fast because you've been using self checkout for years, you have to sit there and watch a clerk replay five videos of you placing food in a bag. And then when you adjust to drop the food in the bag, so it can be clearly shown it's leaving your hands. I went today and they did not have iceberg lettuce. Not even an area for it. They have also stopped carrying macaroni and potato salad at the deli. They only sell it in a prepackaged form now. Not sure what type of inventory control the manager is doing? I would think the iceberg lettuce would have enough demand to keep it in stock??? I really enjoy coming to this Ralph's location. There's always plenty of parking. They have self-check out at both ends of the store and cashiers in the middle. They're always fully stocked. I don't think I've ever had to ask if they had a certain product. They have it all. I specifically like getting my veggies and fruits from here. They're always fresh. I don't know what it is, but their apples are sweet and juicy. I also like getting food from their deli. Every time I walk in from that side, I get hungry because it smells so good. Prices are decent, and they usually have things on sale pretty often. They also offer small discounts on certain items for their card members. It's easy to sign up! Oh, one more thing. They offer drive up, but I've never actually tried it. If I do, I'll make sure to update my review and share my experience on that! read more

I've visited this particular location for the last month. It has slightly improved from my first visit. Still understaffed, but, the few staff that were available were able to help me find what I was looking for. Unfortunately because it's such a big chain, they weren't able to provide the needs of certain items that I requested. I will say that I do appreciate the sales section, we have been able to find some hidden gyms in there. They do have a lot of products that are popular. Although we do not buy a lot of processed foods, it's good for those who do. I will say I do appreciate having smaller brands inside the market. Variety is a slice of life. And I did enjoy finding some small batch, sausages, Specialty low carb tortillas, fun, flavored ice, and an all-time family favorite/LA staple thrifty ice cream! Glad to be able to have those options. I would, however, wish the staff would do their best to monitor some of the produce. We had purchased some vegetables that went bad relatively quick. read more

Ralph's has hit an all time low in customer relations , service, and policy. I recently shopped and purchased several items from the meat department. Within that meat purchase I bought two "reduced items" that work well for my dog food meal preparations . As long as I've shopped at Ralph's they have properly tagged those items accordingly and checkout procedures routinely were accurate and never a problem. However On this day they failed to block the UPC and made no price adjustment in their system to accurately allow the shopper to scan the items at the reduced savings . It looks intentional and highly deceptive by Ralph's to allow it. I never detected the overcharge until my wife pointed out the error and I had already opened the pkg. I The next day I returned to the store and approached the self-checkout supervisor and she walked the items to the person in charge a t her check stand. My receipt was attached to the bag with both meat items and instantly the checker shouted over at me "We're not refunding any marked down meat" We don't do that! I approached the register and attempted to explain exactly why I brought the items back. She repeated "her policy" and made to attempt to listen to my explanation , so in an effort to allow the waiting customers to checkout without further interruption I walked to the end of the line and waited in as I was willing to do from the start. The checker continued to berate me in line and insisted that I would not get a refund. She called the manager "Will" and he stood at her side agreeing that he would not issue a refund . When I reached the front of the line and attempted to explain their error and their defiance in following a long running corporate policy. I've never returned a "Meat Item" in the past , but it's been a well known trade policy that Ralph's stores stand behind their product and will honor for any reason of dissatisfaction a full refunds with receipt. My family has shopped at Ralph's stores (in this San Gabriel Valley region) for over 50 years. In most recent years their policy changes, their gross incompetence, store cleanliness, personal appearance and hygiene. Clearly demonstrating. lack of leadership at the highest levels. As consumer/shoppers we have the ability to seek out competitive alternatives to subpar standards in Industries that fail us. This Store is now a faint glimpse in my rear-view mirror. read more

This Ralphs is a mixed experience. The selection and stocking are good. Parking is adequate. The people who work here are generally nice. However, some of the customers are down right crazy and dangerous. We have had multiple experiences here which could have been very serious had we not deescalated things or ignored people and walked away even though we were minding our own business and not causing any trouble. Despite the fact that this store sometimes has good deals on things we want and has certain items other chains do not have, we try to avoid coming here as much as possible due to the low quality of some customers who shop here. read more

This pains me to write this as we have lived next to this Ralphs for over 10 years. Friends with many staff members as well. So I am going to critique the management, who in my opinion, should be fired or transferred. First off, they merchandise this store death. The square footage is already small for a Ralphs and they keep extending end caps and product displays ALL OVER THE DAMN store! On a busy day, which is often due to other closure of American grocers over the years, it is a pita just get a cart through the damn store. Second of all the meat department is horribly overpriced and as others mentioned, horrible quality. I only get meat here as a last resort. The selection of foods is a hit or miss, where sometimes they can't seem to keep Funyans in stock for example. Or other newer food products you would see in a Vons or Albertsons nearby. The automated tellers are a pita as well. They don't ever open enough, even though you need only one employee to watch like 5 auto checkouts. They have 10 autocheckouts and one live person usually, and THEY STILL HAVE LONG lines like during covid. The cart "security" system is atrocious. Many people park on the street to shop Ralphs and when they try to bring their cart to their cars, it abruptly stops going down hill. Kind of hilarious to watch but I get the frustration as I saw an old beat her cart when this happened. Perhaps a lawsuit is bound to happen is someone got hurt. Stay away from this horribly over merchandised store that is never staffed properly. Management is too greedy and the store makes you feel claustrophobic. read more

love the new flooring they did, look so nice and clean. i mentioned that to the lady working at the front and she also wanted me to notice that they repainted some of the walls in new vibrant colors, too lol. this place is conveniently located near my office, i like the cheese selection at the front. i like the fact that it opens late too, sometimes i can go grab some snacks at midnight, or even groceries, but some of the produce at the fruit section will have tons of tiny flies flying around at that time, especially on the onions. they also carries next milk, which is by far the best milk substitute i have tried so far. good faux meat selection for my plant based diets, at the frozen food section. self check outs are quite smart, never run in any problems that frustrates me too much. staffs are mostly nice and helpful, except the lady in the grey hair. she is kinda scary. read more

This Ralph's is terrible. For months I've been receiving spoiled meat here, almost weekly. It doesn't matter if I put in an order pick up or shop myself for the meat, it constantly reeks before the sell by date on the package. I also noticed when shopping the store there are products with past expiration dates, already expired everywhere. You have to be very careful shopping here. This past week I received expired meat, despite the label saying it was good. I even tried exchanging it for new meat. The new meat was so tough, it was unusable, even after pressure cooking it for triple the amount of time normally. Our experience pushed over the edge last week when trying to purchase deli meat, with a baby in my arms and my 2 kids. The deli is advertised as closing at 7, but was closed before 6:50. I stood waiting for at least 8 mins for someone to come, finally the deli lady came but she wouldn't make eye contact and just grabbed things she was cleaning and turned off the lights on us. I asked the sushi man who was still preparing food to please help us get her attention from the back and let her know we had been waiting. At this point a line for the deli formed behind us. He did and she had him tell us they were closed. I was confused and even commented "closed at 6:58? It's not 7 yet and we've been waiting for sometime now". She didn't care. The others waiting were also told no. Moral of the story, we will not be back to Ralph's. read more

Employee Nayeli has a disgusting attitude and miss cindy who's the manager doesn't know how to resolve conflict either. Stay away. I just wanted to say that I myself worked for a different grocery store and pride myself on my customer service skills and I find it rare to get quality service at most places but everyone here is generous, kind and hard working. Edwin is the newest cashier I have seen there and wow what an efficient, fast working, and social busy bee. I appreciate the entire store. I'd say some of the people who work the deli might need to have a better attitude and attendance to their customers but overall I enjoy shopping at this store very much. I'm writing this review concerning the floral section. We had reserved 4 Euro bouquets May 9th with Jasmine for my grandmother's funeral and had called the day before the funeral, May 12th, to see if they had still had our flowers reserved, the woman on the phone said they were ready to go in a box for the next morning. The next morning (funeral) we came and another lady working went to the back and said they only had two for us bc the front was running low.... I told her we had reserved 4 and showed her the paper we took a photo of bc Jasmine didn't give us a copy. She said "oh well we have the bouquet out here so you can take those" I tried to make a point that a reservation means that they're supposed to be saved already, and she says again with attitude "well there still here in the front so you could take those", like yes ma'am I can seeee that. But that's not the point. The point is we reserved flowers and confirmed the day before, so they should be set ready to go. It's so unprofessional and off putting to know that we came to pick up reserved flowers for a funeral and no one working there was in the loop or aware of the situation. I understand that it was Mother's Day the day before, that's why we spoke on the phone to confirm. On the box it even said 'flowers for cam', so obviously you shouldn't be putting the flowers in the front. We initially ended up getting the flowers in the front ,but it's about the principle of reserving, and the failure on their part to follow through on their promise. We're just glad that we were able to have the same style of flowers for our grandma, but never again. read more

I went to the bakery to pick up a cake ordered by my sister for my nephews 1st birthday. The bakery had no idea about the cake, and when I showed her the online receipt that was given to confirm I was at the right Ralphs and at the right day and time the woman was very rude. She offered a free cake to make up for it, but seemed annoyed that that I was upset. I left with a cake and 6 cupcakes that were not what was wanted for my nephews first birthday, and had to deal with a rude employee. I won't ever spend any money at this Ralph's again. read more

Ever since the pandemic, Ralphs has been my trusty go-to supermarket for majority of my grocery shopping needs. First and foremost, thank you to all the essential workers working there at Ralphs, friendly and helpful, wearing their face masks, gloves, and keeping both essential and non-essential items stocked as much as possible. During this pandemic, thank you for keeping Ralphs cleaned, organized, and sanitized, while adhering to all COVID-19 safety protocols. All cashier stations have plexiglass, hand sanitizers available, grocery carts sanitized and/or sanitizing spray/wipes available at the entrances to self-wipe and clean. Six feet social distancing stickers on the floor. Grocery bags: Hit and miss - sometimes free, sometimes charged. Since the start of the pandemic, this Ralphs has been my trusty go-to supermarket (along with the Pasadena on Foothill Boulevard and South Pasadena locations) for majority of my daily essential/non-essential needs and/or items for honoring my family altars (especially, the apples and oranges - fresh and plentiful, thank you, especially, Produce Department!). Also, wanna give a big thanks to the Bakery Department for their sugar free Jessie's Brand Apple Pies - both Mom and I agree, it's the best and tastiest at this Ralphs location. Man, there's some serious tales of woe in the review section here but I've never had any issues upon 5+ visits here. This local Ralph's is on the small-ish side but they seem to be well stocked with all necessities and specifically have some great sales on meats from time to time. I do like how there are two self checkout sections here, which comes in handy for small orders. My interaction with staff has been light, but I find most of the staff here to be helpful and friendly. This is one of my local go-to's to pickup staples and I give it 4 stars for being a pain free experience. (Pro-tip: I try to buy gift cards here on 4X fuel point days- which bring down the cost for Ralph's gas to like 50 cents cheaper per gallon than competitors) read more

It's been a super long time that I have went to Ralph's. I use to go to a Ralph's when it was close to my house but it closed down. This Ralph's is located on Las Tunas and has a pretty large parking lot but I would suggest coming here on a weekday than a weekend. Plenty of people still shop inside supermarkets. Plenty of food options from the deli side and also if you want to make something yourself, they have a lot of meat options in the back. It's a very large supermarket that you can find almost everything you need to make a nice meal. Recently came here for water, cereal, and soda. They have some pretty good deals you just have to enter in your phone number when you are at the checkout. The lines are a little bit long but I think it still isn't too bad. read more

Not convenient, long check out lines. Nothing good here, meat selection is awful. Produce is overpriced. Workers all have attitude. The workers standing in the narrow isle after you check out will intentionally walk right in front of your path, making you slow your pace or they'll bump into you. Happened multiple times. Stupid games the workers play after they see you self-check out with receipt in hand. Not worth the headache to shop here. Ralph's deserves to have more stores closed, just like the one in Arcadia due to their attitude. It's the 7-11 of supermarkets without the convenience. More terrifying, it's likely the 3AM 7-11 customers that work here. read more
