I went back to thr store with that fungus blackberry and they amsaid we will take it back, I said the issue is not refunds, my son ate ur fungus food which u sell it in the store. Busy night with WalMart-Long lines... it happens-- people call in sick, or half your staff is on lunch break. But when you open registers, and you have lines running down the aisles, it's just good customer service to take a customer's cart and walk it to the register you're opening... not make a half-assed "Open over here!" call-- in front of your night manager who said nothing-- and let rude customers with full carts cut off people who have been waiting longer, as if they have important things to get home to and I don't. There are plenty of other supermarkets in the general area, so guess I'll go there from now on. General goofing off, night manager and baggers having casual personal conversations and ignoring customers, carts of go-backs just sitting around. If you can't figure out how to manage your front end, then I'm out. read more

Open until 1am for necessities... This Ralph's is a convenient, clean, well-organized neighborhood grocery store in the 626 area of Los Angeles. I have shopped here for some last minute cooking ingredients and other odds and ends... I even found some Los Angeles Lakers souvenirs for my coworkers! I have found great deals in the clearance area and have used the Loyalty Card for super discounts! This actually is more than a grocery store. I saw Office Supplies, Pet food and toys, current books and magazines, Asian food department, seasonal (Easter) items, House and Garden goods, and more! By the way, the strawberries were 2 boxes for $5... whoa! This is a really low price as compared with Hawaii... The employees have been very friendly. Three different people greeted me the other day, even though I probably looked preoccupied. That was really nice of them! For sure, I'll be back! read more

Very unhelpful. Felt like I got ripped off as a result. I clipped a digital coupon, and the sale price didn't ring up. Asked for help, and the helper said I need to download the App. But that was not true. I've done it a dozen times before. But I tried anyway to humor the guy. I couldn't get my member code on the app working, so I gave up and asked the helper for a refund instead. He said his station's scanner wasn't working and to go somewhere else, than I was told to go somewhere else to process the refund. By the time I needed to leave to pick up my wife. So I ended up eating the loss. read more

This is for the bakery department. I wanted a small cutting cake for my son's birthday. I put in an order in store, and they told me a manager will confirm the order. No one ever called. I called, they took my order and said my payment will be due the day I pick up the cake. Day before my son's birthday comes, I go in to pay the cake ahead of time. And they said they have no order. Good thing for places like Nothing Bundt Cakes - because thats where my ass ended up because they were reliable. read more

The store has become very cluttered and the aisles are so crowded that trying to maneuver your cart around here is frustrating. Customers in the aisles are getting frustrated with each other as they can't even go around each other as there's so much merchandise in the aisles themselves. It must be especially challenging to shop if you're in a wheelchair. Not a pleasant shopping experience. The service in the deli - hot foods section - is terrible! I had ordered trays of food for pick up at 12:45 and they were not ready until 1:08. On top of that, they have a box of hairnets at the entrance to the employee side of the deli counter that reads " Hair nets required beyond this point" and not a single employee behind the counter had a hair net on. Yes, they all had hair. Hmmmm made me question what other health safety rules they just disregard. read more

Reputable Mike Lee charged bag fees to 80 year old EBT customer today after explicitly told that this was a Cal Fresh purchase. He acknowledged same but still charged for 4 bags. Management, please have your employees be upheld to higher standards. We don't need to see this branch close it's doors like so many before it has... 4/05/20 update. Bought Sabra Chocolate Hummus on 4/04, took it home, opened it up, and saw white fungus inside. Hmm? Checked the expiration date, it was 3/22/20. I take the blame on that one for purchasing it without checking, but really, do consumers have to check if it's sold on the shelf. This one star doesn't have anything to do with other employees except for the store manager or the supervisor "Cynthia". She told me to bag my own items since there was no one around to bag. Wait! If I helped her to bag the items, I'm being nice! If I don't then this is her job to do. And besides she wasn't asking nicely instead she was demanding me to do it. Don't go to this Ralphs if you want any kind of customer service. I went here recently about 6 pm and waited at the deli for two customers to be served ahead of me. After they were done and it was my turn, the employee who just finished serving them told me he couldn't help me because he needed to go to lunch. Really? You have to go to lunch when there is a customer you saw waiting and who is standing right in front of you? Maybe he just didn't like me for some reason. I asked for a manager and he wouldn't call a manager either. I guess they don't care about their customers here and would rather turn them away instead of making a sale. My family and I used to frequent Ralphs weekly back in the early 2000s up until they closed down the location on Live Oak and Santa Anita Avenue several years ago. This Ralphs is the closest one to my family's home. I recently shopped here this past Sunday and just wanted to give a shout out to Andrew who was extremely patient and unabashedly attempting to joke with the customers. Mind you, most of the customers who visit this grocery store are Asian and/or a bit older. Despite the customers giving him blank looks or blatantly ignoring his friendly banter, his attitude still remained cheerful and engaging. Individuals like him certainly make the shopping experience more pleasant. Please hire more individuals like him! read more

Every time I come to this Ralphs, every one is always super friendly and helpful. One of my favorite thing about it is its parking lot size and the amount of self serving registers it has (approximately 4-8 each near both entrances!!) I love their service and their weekly ads, you can get away with $15.99 for a bottle of Jameson almost 3-4 months out of the year! What a steal. read more

This was my weekly grocery shopping store as I like Ralphs carries many fruit/produce selections but have not visited often for months because the store opens very few cashier lines so need to wait long if not using self checkout. Stopped by the store today but was disappointed. I did self checkout and noticed the sale item, pork ribs price was scanned incorrectly. The young lady helping the self checkout line told the manager that the other customers had the same issue for the rib sale so obviously they knew about it but didn't fix the price in the system. Also found out the price for white onion was overcharged as well. After all prices were fixed, the credit card payment can not be processed. The young lady had to asked other staffs including the manager tried about 10 times finally went through. She kept apologizing for the situation but I can't blame her for things that should have been taken care of by her manager or higher level. May not come back to this store soon. read more

So I don't buy everything from one store. There are some things that are on sale and there are some that aren't. The things that aren't may be on sale at a different store. This place used to be open 24 hours a day and I used to be here all hours of the night. Any day of the week. I guess I stopped going for a while so they weren't making any money off anyone else to stay open while they restock the shelves. They've remodeled this place since a while ago and added a deli, not like the one in downtown but cold cuts and cakes and what not. So buyer beware at any store you go to but everyone in this place is courteous. They've changed managers like 7 times since I've been through here on and off. It's either you like it here or you don't. If you don't, get lost, go to your own store. read more

This is my favorite Ralph's Grocery store out of the ones I have been to. It's close by, and everybody is incredibly friendly and nice. I also like the way everything is placed. Fruits and vegetables on the left of the market, bakery on the right, etc. It can get crowded during rush hour, which is why I try to go in the morning or late at night. Even when it is crowded, though, I don't feel like the market gets too hectic or busy. The cashiers still work through the line efficiently and quickly. Also, they have bakery mark down items in the back of the store where they mark down whatever is expiring soon. I have scored some really great things for a very low cost! I do wish they had self check out lines here. They have RedBox kiosks located outside, as well as a Replanet Recycling in the parking lot as well! read more

Pandemic information (JUN 2020): employees are masked and gloved. Plexiglass shields in checkout areas. Seems like all customers are following mask etiquette but forget about any social distancing considerations. I've had a customer reach under my arm into my personal space trying to grab something off a shelf as they couldn't be bothered to wait 5 seconds for me to move. When coming to Ralph's I think the most important thing is whether they have things in stock. For instance the one I used to visit never had things in stock unless you showed up prior to 10am. This location did not seem to have this issue. Produce is semi-fresh and plenty. Very similar to what you would expect to see in your average grocery chain. That said, the lines can be long here. YMMV. And if you go during peak hours expect at least a 20-30 minute wait for check out, even when self checking out. -- as this location is very busy. read more

This review has nothing to do with the store or any other employees besides the young man that was sanitizing carts outside maybe about an hour ago. I've NEVER had an employee talk to me like this guy. I walked up to get a cart, seen that he was cleaning them and asked if the carts behind the wall are good to go? He then says to me "that's what the sign says" (I didnt even see the sign) which I told him. Then as I go grab my cart, as I'm walking back I stop and tell him "your customer service skills aren't that great" as I proceeded to walk in the store he said something but I didn't hear it. The older heavy set lady in the Service Deli Dept. is always RUDE. Makes me stand quite awhile while she finishes what she doing and NEVER says "I'll be right with you" EVER! I've been coming here for many years and seems she is the only one I ever get to wait on me, I always hope it's someone else. Someone (Management) needs to talk to her about Customer Etiquette. This is for the Deli department. This evening while walking in opposite directions across an aisle, the big lady in charge of re-stocking packaged meats in the refrigerated wall coughed (x3-5 times) in my direction unmasked and without attempting to cover her mouth or protect in any way. I was about to turn around and politely ask her to please cough into her elbow as she is an employee wearing a big white apron. I was worried because she is physically handling the meats packages in the stock carts and placing them onto the shelves without following hygiene guidelines. A great big bountiful store with everything you want. I've tried shopping at Target recently for convenience but they're often out of essential staples like eggs and it makes me crazy. Here, there is an immense and vast array of everything you could want - including a hot deli and bakery. Plus I got some weird stuff from the clearance cart that was a big hit at the party I took it to. read more

I love coming here because it's a welcoming store, and franchise! They sometimes have pretty good deals compared to other chains. This place has plenty of selection and groceries are always in stock, although this Ralphs doesn't usually have enough day-old bread as compared to the Arcadia one haha. The bakery is my favorite area because they have a great selection of ice cream cakes and other pastries! The staff are friendly and helpful if you need them. I would have to say I am a loyal customer to the Ralphs buisness. Ever since I was first living in Rosemead, I would always go to the Ralphs on Valley. Sadly, that branch closed down shortly after I moved to Temple City, but that didn't budge my loyalty to Ralphs. Luckily, there was one walking distance from my new house in Temple City. Ever since, I have been going to Ralphs for all my basic groceries. This branch in particular is a very great branch. First off, the employees and managers are pretty nice. They are always ready to help out and assist in every way possible. Another thing I like is that the managers are very open to donations and sponsorship to local buisnesses. Usually they only donate about $20 or so, but they are always happy to help out another group or cause. Regarding their supplies and restocking, usually they are pretty good at keeping everything filled and ready to sell. They have all your basic groceries and such, which is good if you need to buy something small to cook at home. One more thing I like about this place is that it is usally never crowded. There might be a small line once in a while, but it will never take more than 10 minutes to check in your stuff and pay. Overall, if you're not planning to buy something in huge bulk, Ralphs is a perfect supermarket to go to. read more

They remodeled and it looks great, but the customer service has dropped terribly. They put in almost all self checkout. They have one register open and a long line to check out with a cashier. I've switched my business to Stater brothers in Altadena. It's worth the drive for a basic level of customer service. I used to love this store. I'm so sad you guys don't want to take care of your customers. The staff is great by the way, it's not a reflection of the people working there. This Ralph's store is the neighborhood store for many of us. It's reliable; this store is open most ours of the day. I like to go here late at night when coming home from work, and I'm happy to know that I can head over to a place that's on the way home. Most produce is available in the morning, and the later hours tend to have lower quality products. There are also some cool additions to this store, such as: sushi bar, deli, cakes/sweets, coin counter, DMV machine, and key copier. I love their Friday $5 sushi deal for a spicy tuna roll. Their rolls might not be as creative as others but, seeing as the items are coming from a grocery store, their fish is super fresh! It tends to run a bit expensive though, but it is honestly the best place for grab-and-go sushi. The man that makes these rolls is super nice too, and you can find him making the rolls in the morning. Simply put, it's just a super convenient store to stop by on your way home. Basic things like meats, vegetables, snacks, milk, etc. are always in stock. Just go in and go out, easy! read more

This 5 stars review is for Ron's great customer service. It was my first time shopping at this Ralph's. I was looking for my favorite Cheesecake Factory bread. I asked Ron who at the time was busy working at the Bakery section, and he was kind to ask me politely what kind of bread do I want? I said I want the slice bread and he went inside quickly & opened a new box with lots of the Cheesecake Factory brown bread! Beside getting my favorite bread, they also carry lots of Lysol wipes!
