I drove all the way here after the "mentally unstable" customer service experience from 816 E Main Street location. (They wasted my whole hour!) I would recommend this store, because the employees know what to do. I just asked the cashier lady to apply all coupons on my account, the cashier lady did it! Funny thing happened when she didn't have a change for my $100 bill! She was going to have her coworker to redo the whole transaction.. and a note... it's quite common CVS employees messed up on transactions because of their reasons! Two days in a row now! I told her to not worry about it! I could check out with my card! At least I got my service done much smoother within 10 mins! I was able to use the restroom too! Save yourself time to come here! So, I've been to a few CVS locations and each time, it was hard to get assistance. I have the care pass and each time I do self checkout, I dont get my discounts. So I ended up paying the full amount. I scanned my digital card at the self kiosk and it didnt go through. I checked the number that was associated with the membership and it was the same. Im not sure why it didnt go through. It is very annoying when I can't get my discounts for a membership that I paid for. The pharmacy is always busy, but theyre nice and will help when they can. read more

When I contacted this location, they just told me to reach out to corporate and weren't helpful at all. Don't buy gift cards from CVS! The cards I bought for Christmas had been drained when the recipients tried to use them. I made a case with corporate and was told there was nothing they could do. I used cash so had little recourse to challenge fraudulent use of the cards. Im posting this all over social media and many people have reached out sharing similar stories of being robbed by CVS in this manner. I really believe the PCR tests are way better than the at-home tests, so I come here or go to other CVS Pharmacies for lab analysis. I wanted to give credit to the pharmacy staff at this particular location. The pharmacy technician Chau, she went out of her way to assist us. I made Covid Vax appts for 4 of us in our HH but had no idea that it could be so complicated. Apparently there are "unionized" CVS and "non-unionized" CVS which makes a big difference on insurance coverage. We normally have our routine prescriptions filled and our yearly flu shots done at CVS. Thinking all CVS are the same I made our Covid Vax appts online at the location next to Trader Joe's in N. San Gabriel, then having them tell us since that location is "non-unionized" our insurance will not be covered. BTW, we have Optum RX. So we went straight away to this location. The Pharmacy technician Chau helped us with new appts for the very next day and explained how COVID vax can only be given out with appts not walk-ins. We came back the very next day for our appts and Chau was working again and assisted us once more. She walked us through the entire pharmaceutical red tape even being so busy with everyone waiting on vaccinations. Chau is just amazing. The other technicians are also wonderful and helpful. Bottom line, the entire team especially Chau went out of their way to assist us. This is rare and refreshing to see this kind of effort and commitment, the outstanding customer service that i have received here. I have to write about and let the public know. Thank you pharmacy team. I look forward in coming back to this location for my future pharmaceutical needs. read more

The store itself is fine and has decent selection but it's the employees and their lack of customer service that is completely awful. Every time I have come to this store the workers look miserable. Checkout interactions are always so awkward and they never offer me a bag or always only have the smallest ones available. COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is of decent size. They share the lot with several other establishments. They do have an underground parking structure, which is pretty cool and creates more parking space. Staff: The staff here are very kind, friendly, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. The store is very clean, neat, and tidy. CVS pharmacy has some deficiencies in the performance and of delivery of their service to the people who trust them to fill up their prescription-s. After the third time of either not having in stock or waiting for a shipment, or not having it yet, I advised them that was the red line for me, thanked them and told them you just lost a client, expecting to see some reaction, i saw zombie like faces who cared not at all if they lose the world. I was amazed and shocked. I did go to another pharmacy immediately, it took them 1/3 of the time and 1/2 the price. If CVS continues to walk in the way they are now, would not be a surprise to see an immediate bankruptcy. read more

There is no "zero star option" so 1 star it is! I went to CVS today and a rude cashier named John told me to go to aisle 5 like I was a kid, even if there was no line at all. John didnt even greet, "Welcome to CVS! I'll be with you shortly!" He was very adamant for me to go back to aisle 5 (where the "line" was supposed to start) even if he was almost done with the customer he was helping. I was 5 feet behind the customer he's helping and browsing stuff in the middle aisle infront of the register. I asked Matthew, who just walked inside to put in his drawer in the register, if he can get me a manager and Matthew just walked inside their stockroom as if to get a manager. John then used the intercom and asked for manager to come out and the same guy, Matthew, came out. Matthew could have talked to John right on the spot or relieved John of his duty as John was being very rude! John even told me to "Shut up!" I asked Matthew if he heard that John told me to shut up and all Matthew said that he was not there when he was literally next to John about to put in his drawer at the cash register. I have been a customer of this CVS location for years and I have never encountered such a rude employee, or anywhere else for that matter! John does not even have a clue of what a "customer service representative" means! He should be placed in the basement with his red stapler sitting behind a desk! Very poor customer service. Michael is the name of the employee listed in my CVS receipt. I was recently at the CVS store at 9952 Las Tunas Dr, Temple City, CA, 91780. At checkout I used a CVS coupon I got from a previous purchase. When I used the coupon, the man who served me became even more upset. I am Hispanic and I feel my skin color bothered him. He never looked me in the face or in the eyes and I was a very respectful customer. I paid and started to leave the store but I stared at some items at the entrance to see how he would treat the next people he would serve and it was also a Hispanic couple. The poor customer service continued from this person to the customers. I noticed they were carrying several items in their hand to pay and he did NOT give them a bag until the girl asked, "Do you have a bag please?" and the man just said, "There they are." The bags were on the counter but a customer should not just take them for no reason. The store employee is the one who has to ask you if you want a bag, put your things in it, and give you the bag. My experience in this store was a bad time and mistreatment towards the customer, very poor customer service. The people here are so helpful and kind. Whenever I can't find something or am having an issue with coupons, this CVS seems to have the best staff who knows how to help. I did however run into one worker who seemed frustrated when I was trying to use one of the coupons and it didn't work. He is the only person I've ran into that should try to be a little bit more professional and courteous. But overall, this CVS is well managed. The pharmacy here is ran extremely well and professional. Their management cracks the whip (i've seen it) and I laughed so hard because I was being helped and their phone kept ringing, the woman at the counter who was helping me at the time asked if she should take the call instead of helping me and the manager told her straight up to hang up and that in-person customers get priority. It would have been so rude if she picked up the phone and kept me waiting, but that didn't happen. They really go out of their way to make sure you get helped in a timely fashion. read more

I visited this CVS on 7/21/2022. It had been a very rough and tough day. This all changed when upon entering I was greeted by cashier, Beatriz, who with a lovely and friendly smile welcomed me into the store. Unbeknown to her, she lifted up my spirits. I decided to do the self-checkout and she came immediately to ask if I needed help. I respectfully declined her helped letting her know that I was okay. I thanked her for the way she greeted me and let her know that she had made a huge difference in my life at that moment via her friendly service with a wonderful smile. CVS is a local store that isn't really a market but more like if you forgot something than maybe they might have it. I was super hungry with my friend and we still weren't done with work so we went in real quick to grab a bag of chips. Yes I got a bag of chips the big kind for only $2.00 instead of paying $4.00. It's totally like half off and they are also selling lots of different chocolate goodies for the holidays. So if you need something quick and fast this is the place to go. The Pharmacy has one particular employee who is always angry, very condescending and highly unprofessional. I am amazed he still has a job. He yelled at me for no reason and when I called him out, he got even more upset. It has been an year or so since the incident and he is still very rude to me every time I go pick up my prescriptions. After all, he is handling people who may have a serious illness or feeling down. It is unacceptable to have such person on staff. I will be looking into filing an official complaint with the corporate office once I find out his name. The rest of the pharmacy workers are ok. read more

Getting bad service at this CVS Pharmacy has become the norm. Managers need to fix why pharmacy workers are so disgruntled that they take it out on us, the customers? Normal behavior includes blaming customers for staff errors, never saying thank you or please, and hanging up mid-call. Talking about you Minh, Rick and so many others! I shop here all the time. I was looking for photo albums for my anniversary pictures. The staff explained in details what they have and the store manager even check their warehouse to see what else they have. I was totally satisfied and bought three. I was going to refill my prescription here. The pharmacy already automatically refilled my medication, before I ran out. CVS also texted me to remind me to p up the medication. This is more than I would expect from a pharmacy this size. When presented with a Web Md Rx online coupon, they adjusted pricing and charged less than the previous order. Two pharmacists there speaks Chinese and a third one speaks Spanish. They are VERY swift! They know what they are doing. Staff are great and I am in and out within minutes. CVS Chief Operations Officer and the dedicated staff deserve lots of praise. Great system great service best price!!! read more

The staff there lies when your prescription is ready but not, they don't send text when you're opted in when prescriptions are ready, don't communicate, and the new pharmacist is horrible and made me wait over 3 hrs when the staff told me 1 hr. This needs to be run by corporate so they know and other customers too. Left hysterical and crying cause messing around with medication is NO JOKE! I was just informed by a CVS rep, that as of August, CVS will no longer reissue expired extrabucks rewards. I can understand why product coupons expire, but there is no need for 'extra bucks' coupons to. The cash is mine, in exchange for all the money I spend at CVS. I should be able to spend it when I want to, and not be bothered having to ask for reissues when my shopping needs don't match your calendar restraints. Your marketing, advertising and customer service people need to look at the history of 'best practices' and 'value added service' that Fortune 500 companies use, and get on board.  There are dire psychological effects when someone is given something they earned, and then it is taken away from them. It has an unconscious association with 'punishment'. Most airlines and other retailers used to also let their customers' points expire, until they realized this too late, and suffered the consequences of their customers switching to enlightened businesses that had no such policy.  You can use my $5 extra bucks coupon I earned, which you have taken back from me, to cover the loss of thousands of dollars I spend on prescriptions and products, as I will now switch to another pharmacy because of your unenlightened practice. Nice little CVS Pharmacy located on the corner of San Gabriel Blvd and Las Tunas Blvd. The prices at CVS are reasonable and its a great place to head to if you're ever in need of anything. This location also has a drive thru pick up, which can be extremely convenient for anyone in a hurry. Unfortunately this location is not "24 Hours" like the one found on Main St. The parking lot is rather small, and has a HUGE steep ramp on the Gladys and Las Tunas exit. BEWARE of this ramp as it can seriously damage your car if its "lowered". Overall, you can't go wrong with CVS if you're ever in a bind and is in urgent need of any "product" ;) read more

Just went to this CVS to pick up my mom's Rx. I decided to browse and pick up some snacks for work tomorrow. (I work at DL and food can be pricey even for Cast Members.) I got a few items and went up to the front. I was in Ruth's line, and she's a sweetie. Then one of the shift supervisors, named Judy, came up to open up a second register. Judy called me over, scanned my items, and took my CVS card. When she gave me my total, I noticed that it hadn't picked up the sale I was trying to use. I questioned it but she refused to honour the sale, and she got very short with me. I needed the items but I won't support poor customer service, so I walked home. I called to speak with the store manager on my way, and she was nice but not very helpful. Next time, I'll go elsewhere. (The stars are only because Ruth seems very nice in person and on the phone. Otherwise, I would have given less stars on account of the rude shift supervisor and the complete dearth of customer service.) read more

The staff was super nice in my last visit! I was less than a minute late, and the front door had automatically locked (10:01)! The cashier noticed me, and my hugely disappointed look, so he walked over to the door and asked what I needed. He let me in and was super nice about it. (Yay, thanks!) As I was waiting to pay for my purchase, there was a lady in front of me that required some extra assistance. (Coupons, returns, you name it). My husband just got out of emergency oral surgery and we needed a pain medication prescription filled with urgency. As we usually use the drive thru at the Main Street location to help with social distancing, we called there first to see if we could get our prescription filled there. The pharmacist was very helpful; she said that they didn't have the medicine available at her location but gave us the number of the San Gabriel/Las Tunas location to check there. But when I called and asked about the medication, the male pharmacist who answered refused to even answer my question about whether or not they had the medication. I explained further that I was just checking to see if we could even get it filled there (I'm trying to avoid the heavy traffic, covid lines and wait time at Kaiser) and that we had the prescription ready. He just repeated his answer without offering any additional explanation. It's frustrating, because it would be much faster to get the pain medication from someplace local than to wait for Kaiser, and there seemed to be no reason for him to withhold the information about the medicine when we had already spoken to another CVS pharmacist who was helpful and clear about answering our questions. I hope that the company, when reviewing this, will be able to offer better guidance to their customers instead of being dismissive without explanation. read more
