You can say I'm a daiso frequent shopper. I love going to daiso as it filled helped heal inner child self to get things that I wasn't able to when I was a child. The temple city location is clean. That's something that NOT every Daiso has. I been to most and I can tell a clear difference from a shop that doesn't organize vs one who does. The older asian lady in glasses is always super nice. She handles customers really well and I hope shes the manager because thanks to her this store is one of the well stocked stores I go to. I always opt out of self check-out because I buy a lot of items and sometimes I may overscan an item, so its always still helpful to have a cashier whos ready to scan for you and bag your items up. I love daiso and I hope this location stays. Been coming here since I was 18! read more

Not the best selection of items compared to most Daiso locations. I stumbled upon this Daiso location while running errands and came looking for a birthday card. The birthday card selection is very limited at this Daiso. I didn't browse around for anything else. This location had one cashier on duty. They also had one self check-out machine, which had no line. I was in and out of Daiso within a few minutes. The parking lot had tight, but plenty of parking spots when I arrived. When I left the plaza, the parking lot was full, around 1:30PM on a Saturday. It's hard to beat a $1.50 card, unless you opt to make your own. read more

It's always interesting to see what diaso has, a variety of selection of random things. I ended up getting a cute peeler, used self checkout because I didn't see any workers at the time. Prices have gone up but still mostly fair. The father's day set ups were pretty funny. (see picture) read more

You can never go wrong going to a Daiso. This location in Temple City is very clean inside and staff are very friendly!! Ample parli g in large lot. This store has it all, and I love that they have everything from kitchen items to make-up, food, toys, small houseware items, Japanese candy, snacks, etc. They have the perfect stocking stuffers, so I bought a few items for the kids. Love this location for what it has. Thankfully the back-to-school section was filled with wonderful options. I'm glad to have found the extendable racer pen. I like that. It also comes with the refillable erasers. The only downside, I wish they had more. The staff was friendly and was able to direct me to the items I was looking for. Unfortunately, the current situation with the tariffs, it has increased all the prices up, with the starting base at $2.75. Nothing the staff or the store can do about it. Daiso is a franchise of 100-yen shops, similar to the Dollar Store in the U.S. They carry a wide range of products at an affordable price. The company started as a street vending shop in Japan and was called Yano Shoten before morphing into Daiso in 1977. Daiso now has locations in 25 countries. Apparently, everyone knows about Daiso except for me, so I decided to check it out. The store was well organized and stocked. Shelves were lined with cute merchandise & knick knacks from Japan. Of course there were some Sanrio & Disney characters. While browsing around I noticed everything from stationary, kitchenware, beauty items, clothing, and Japanese snacks. I can see why people like to shop here - most items are $1.75 and nothing is over $15.25. The prices are displayed in Yen but there are conversion charts throughout the store to help you figure out what things cost. The day of my visit I ran into fellow Yelper Aprille C. She told me how much she loves Daiso and frequents the store to pick up her favorite mango drink. I did find a few useful items. This location is in a large shopping plaza, so parking is plentiful. read more

I can't say I've ever met a Daiso I didn't like and I can't say my kids have either! I did not know there were full and mini Daiso stores, with this one being a full size one. I love that they pretty much have everything here; I'm always surprised when people leave empty-handed. I love coming to just meander and shop and my kids love it because I rarely say no when they ask for something. The employee here was friendly. The store was clean. They were just outstanding in helping customers both check and find stuff and I would highly recommend coming here for the service and for value finds if you want some retail therapy. Daiso has the cutest merchandise from Japan! I don't think anything here is over $15; easy to overspend here. I personally like the cute and practical Kitchen stuff to stationary items. My mom and daughter love it at Daiso; they usually fill up the basket cart and when it comes time to pay - there's NO sticker shock, lol. Employees are helpful at this location. I'm not sure if the popularity of Daisy has dropped, but I find myself going into them less and less over the years. I'm guessing the craze has died down since they first had their stores in the San Gabriel Valley. They've always had low prices and a wide selection of the things you need and the things you want to buy. I went. I had such great customer service. The place is nice and clean. The prices are just perfect not crazy expensive very affordable such a large variety of product. The guy even helped me carry my stuff to my car that was above and beyond and I totally appreciated that because I have been having chronic painso I give this place 10 stars for such great customer service and kindness. Though they did have some Sanrio items, they barely had any San-X (Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, etc) and Disney items. There were some cute bear themed items but the actual stuffed animal section was a bit lacking too. Might be a supply shipment issue, but since there are so many other Daiso's in the area, this one is just okay. read more

Daiso has numerous items that are made in Japan for $1.50. They also have items that are more than the aforementioned price, but the majority of the items are only $1.50. I have gone to numerous Daiso locations. My favorite one is in Los Angeles. My go to Daiso in San Gabriel Valley is this location when I want to avoid looking for parking at their Santa Anita mall location. I like this location, because it is larger than their Monterey Park stores. It is also easier to find parking here. I always go to a Daiso to purchase specific items. What do I purchase here? Where can you find a package of facial wipes that are made in Japan or Korea for $1.50? They also have the facial masks that are made in Korea. I like their nose charcoal packs that are made in Korea. They have the under eye masks that are made in China. I come here for their Japanese rice crackers, snacks and candies. All those Japanese candies like the Pocky sticks, gummies and rice paper candies are here. I like the gummies made by Pure. For those that like to cook, they have a nice selection of Japanese seasoning products. If you like Japanese curry, they sell a Japanese curry sauce that is made in Japan. I can't always find the brands or the exact items that I am looking for, but they usually have other options available. read more

The Employee needs training on professionalism and be helpful to the customers, They kept talking the whole hour I was there standing doing nothing, People asking for help told me if I worked there... they kept talking (which I don't care about) but they talked very vulgar Cursing in every sentence. There was children there too. Bad first time experience I asked the cashier for the manager he said he didn't know who the manager was and he was new. I told him how uncomfortable I felt and he was just none chalant and I said it made the place look bad said "They're ghetto like that I don't talk to them" he was just also on his phone ignoring everyone as well. This location seems to be well-stocked sometimes but not always. I honestly think one on Valley Blvd is the best one when it comes to stock. Daiso is well known for $1.50 items for almost everything you can think of. They do have higher priced items and price conversion table is everywhere so just take a look to see how much it is. So going back to the items they sell... Some stuff you never thought you'd need it but you do once you come across it. Thats the tricky part. Why? Because they are FINAL SALE. Yes, its only $1.50 but still, it can add up! I never liked the staff here. Lets just say theyre not the nicest people. Havent encountered one single kind individual here at all sadly. I found the perfect black bell and blue wheel lights for when we ride at night for a very reasonable price. $1.50 for most items! Some things are $2, $3, $4, etc., but they are labeled with a sticker. The cashier (most times) will alert you if you have a higher priced item. This is like a 99 Cents Only Store, except that this shop has merchandise from Japan! There are so many kawaii (cute) things!!! There are many Daiso shops in California, Texas, and Washington. I've just visited the ones in California. The difference (in my opinion) is the location. For example, I think that the one in Koreatown has less selection because it's so popular and busy. The one in Torrance was pretty good, but this Daiso in Temple City (Los Angeles) had the bunny socks that I was looking for! Yippee! I also look for panda items (coin purses, neck pillows, towels, bowls, bags, plushies, notebooks, hand puppets, post-it notes, pens, stationary, etc.) for my nieces... Sometimes there are cables for iPhones. Usually, I can find android accessories. Remember that they do not accept returns; and when using Credit Cards, it's only for transactions over $10. Seems like nothing in this store that is of value is $1.50 anymore. It's mostly $3-4. They've raised the prices on a bunch of stuff, which I think is ridiculous because now, I can find the same item at the Dollar Tree for $1. Granted, there's no cute characters on it but at least I know the quality is way better. Another thing that bothers me about this store is that they charge $0.20 for a bag, which I don't believe is allowed. The same bag you get at Whole Foods for $0.10 is $0.20 here. Like a notary who can only charge $15 per signature, I am quite certain that CA retail stores can only charge $0.10 a bag. I find this, principally speaking, really shady. Daiso is a big corporation. They shouldn't be making money on people over bags. Keep in mind also that the store no longer offers refunds or exchanges. All items are final sale. I am no longer a Daiso fan. read more

It's funny how if it's a 99 cents store we look down on it, but if the price is $1.50 and it's Japanese and a brightly lit fancy store, we all flock to this. Sad to say, but I'm one of these customers. There are some things like candies that you could definitely get cheaper elsewhere, but they have things like makeup, tableware, stationery that you definitely cannot get anywhere else at that price. They've got friendly staff and a great business concept: no returns or exchanges. The narrow aisles make it awkward to go through the aisles. Lots of household necessities as well as labor-saving devices you never imagined could exist. It's basically a much higher-quality version of Dollar Tree, and with an Asian clientele in mind. The standard price for most items is $1.50. Their kitchen selection is pretty nice. They have many types of chopsticks, from cheap ones in a multipack to a single pair decorated beautifully and made in Japan. There's a ton of different storage containers as well. The price on their alkaline batteries is among the cheapest I've seen, a 6-pack or 25 cents apiece (elsewhere in a dollar store you'd be getting carbon-zinc batteries at that price). One annoyance is that their document-related accessories are all A4 size. No one here uses A4, so you should internationalize your products rather than going for a one-size-fits-all approach. read more

been going to this daiso for years, but unfortunately, it's not as great as it use to be. i went there today to look for one item and grabbed the last one. i asked the manager if they happen to have anymore and he said he would go check for me as he was already heading back there pushing his dolly back. two minutes later, i see him walking out avoiding where i was and wearing a jacket as if i wouldn't recognize him. could i just chase him down and ask him again? yes, but he clearly wanted to go home rather than help a customer as he pretended that he didn't see me when i was standing right next to him while waiting in the line at the register. i know he saw me as i saw his head turn my direction, quickly turned away, and again didn't say anything. i don't feel like wasting more of my time as i have things to do myself. i'm sure the second time, he would've just went home and i wouldn't have known. who could forget a question in 2 minutes and you're the manager. the two cashiers were really nice and i did confirm with them that it is the manger since i know both the manager and assistant manager wear the grey aprons. the cashiers offer to help me grab their manager or help with my needs, but i'm happier to shop elsewhere and as i told them, i promise they won't see me here again. hopefully they treat their other customers better in the future or get another new manager, 4th times a charm. read more
