This was a really big grocery store with pretty much all products available like most grocery brand store. It was mostly clean and organized. Most sections were well stocked up. They had lottery and coin counter machines in front part of the store. We found good fruits and snacks in the store. While walking around, we noticed they had a liquor aisle too. We picked a wine from there too. Prices were good for all the products. The staff member at self checkout was super friendly. She helped us with purchasing the wine at a separate register. For rest of the items, she entered a membership code for us that gave us the sale prices on the items we were buying. The checkout process was quick and easy. This Ralph's is so n a very busy strip mall and general area with many popular businesses. You can usually get a parking spot, but it can be challenging at times. The store has pretty narrow aisles, but is usually well stocked. Other than the check out, which offers ok service, we have not been helped at the deli or other service areas inside the store. We have not had a quality issue with any of the food products we have purchased from here. We do not go to this location often, but if in the area, it is a decent shopping experience. read more

This is the Ralph's situated on Atlantic Blvd next to a Bank of America. There is plenty of parking. I think prices here are on the high side. I like to wait for sales. I will get produce and meat here when I am in the area. There is a 99 Ranch market down the street at the corner of Garvey and Atlantic, so I would rather go there. They have a good selection of flowers and balloons. The over-the-counter medication aisle is blocked sometimes. The self check out takes Apple Pay, so that is convenient. Service Was at self checkout- needed help, fat employee came and push a button and went to yak with the other employees. Her pushing the button and left without saying a word did not resolving my issue. Approached her again and she brushed me off and continued yakking. How rude. My second time going here, because my father who has cancer wanted his salmon from the meat department and wanted baked. Ricardo who assisted me the first remembered me right away ask about Dad and knew how prepared it with his condition. I went to the deli to get him pasta salad and scallops potatoes as well the lady was awesome too. As for Ricardo came out hand over the bag with the salmon and told me please visit again and thank me for coming. Excellent service and definitely will go to Ralphs more often now with customer service like that. read more

This Ralph's has definitely gotten better, and overall I had a really good experience. The staff throughout the store was great and very helpful.I especially want to recognize the deli. I had accidentally placed an order at another location, but the supervisor working in the deli (a young woman with glasses? Kind of tall I believe she is the supervisor) was very quick to help me and take care of my order. She was kind and professional, even though the department seemed pretty busy and a little overworked at the time. I really appreciated that she still took the time to help me without making me feel like an inconvenience.I also stopped by the bakery and was able to quickly grab a cake, and picked up a few things from produce as well. Everything was easy to find and the overall trip went smoothly.The only negative part of my experience was at the front end. There is a woman working up front whose attitude toward customers can be pretty shocking. I've noticed yelling or unnecessarily harsh interactions with customers, and it really takes away from an otherwise pleasant experience. Customer service goes a long way, especially when the rest of the employees are clearly working hard to make customers feel welcome. Aside from that, I can definitely see an improvement in this store. The deli in particular deserves recognition for going above and beyond, and I appreciate the employees who made my visit a good one. read more

In NJ (no slouch when it comes to crushing taxation) the same pack is around five bucks. On the left coast the branded water is well over twelve dollars when the myriad of "green" surcharges and taxes are calculated. What's going on with the layout in a lot of these supermarkets? The aisles are extremely narrow, but to make matters worse there is stock (English muffins & late night doritos) crammed in the middle of almost every one making using a cart a nightmare. One lane each way and forget it if there's already ppl in the aisle. You can't even leisurely browse b/c someone is always up your ahhz. From the staff to the food to ambiance -everything is HORRIBLE! There are only a handful of workers who actually are good at customer service/ satisfaction, but the rest SHOULD GO! I hate this store! Hi Ralphs, me and my family shop at your locations regularly. Half the stuff in our fridge is Kroger's. Why is there a food truck blasting music and shining their flood lights into people's homes and businesses? The Arandino's Tacos El Patron that sits directly in front of your parking lot is the biggest pollution on the block. It's sad that people in the area have to put up with that blight. Great location and good foods. I came here to shop and a worker also told me about the job application process. Ralph is unionized meaning if workers get paid extremely low wages at the minimum here, they have options to care for themselves. The grocery cost here is reasonable, spacious parking, lots of people gamble with the CA scratchers and throw them everywhere, but it makes for good decor. Cheap $1.00 taco trucks line up here at night, probably the best prices possible. I have had $0.75 tacos in the past before inflationary times. -1 star for the safety. There have been cases of safety problems but generally and historically, Monterey Park is a quiet and peaceful community with near zero violence or issue cases. It makes Monterey Park very special. Times may have changed a bit but I hope Monterey Park can revert back to being its safe, peaceful, slow tune but desirable community. read more

Purchased 5 items yesterday at Ralph Supermarket in Monterey Park area. Total comes out to be $ 128.76. Purchased some eggs, snacks ( for Halloween ), breads, meats, and veggies. Compare to Grocery Outlet, Aldi, and even Walmart, Ralph is the most expensive local grocery store in the entire San Gabriel Valley ( with the exception of the Asian Supermarkets nearby including the notorious 99 Ranch Supermarket ) And Ralph has plenty of expired items still selling on their shelf so please be very careful when checking out the expiration date. read more

Hello Ralph's! One of my weekly go to American supermarkets in the San Gabriel Valley. Yes, I still go to Costco, but sometimes it's just too overwhelming with people despite the pandemic. This Monterey Park location Ralph's is always busy too. Weekly specials and includes different beef and chicken, fruits and vegetables, and their bakery goods. Aside from Costco, I buy steaks here, and their .99¢ per pound chicken. Their meats are usually fresh as their butcher keeps restocking the shelves. Looking for something in particular? Ask the butcher, and most likely they'll have it in the back. Fruits and vegetables are also fresh and we'll stocked at this store. Great weekly specials include grapes, watermelon, corn if in season, avocados, bananas, and even Chinese green veggies! I always try to use their self checkout. But remember, you are unable to purchase alcohol at these checkouts. I need to remember that. Hahaha. The cashiers are always friendly, and serves with a smile. Plastic bags are optional at .10¢ per bag. I cut down on using plastic bags nowadays. Bad for the environment, but I still use trash bags. Parking lot is mostly busy with people coming in and out. Ralphs is my go-to grocery store, and I've never had a bad experience. I was shopping for some specialty items recently and was able to find everything I needed. The service was excellent, as employees were more than happy to assist me. The quality of the meats, especially the steaks, was superior to other local grocery stores. This location's item selection seems limited than other Ralphs locations I've been to. I was looking for flour tortillas, which the narrow options only offered large quantities. This was more than I needed. The biggest pain point is the lack of cashiers available throughout the day. I usually buy gift cards here, which require a cashier to activate. However, there's usually only 2-3 registers open with at least 10 people waiting in line. The lines get backed up all the way into the aisles sometimes. This results in a 15 mins wait just for a quick shopping trip. I understand that they're trying to sway customers to use self-checkout, but there comes a time when you just need to call for more employees to work the registers. read more
