This location's item selection seems limited than other Ralphs locations I've been to. I was looking for flour tortillas, which the narrow options only offered large quantities. This was more than I needed. The biggest pain point is the lack of cashiers available throughout the day. I usually buy gift cards here, which require a cashier to activate. However, there's usually only 2-3 registers open with at least 10 people waiting in line. The lines get backed up all the way into the aisles sometimes. This results in a 15 mins wait just for a quick shopping trip. I understand that they're trying to sway customers to use self-checkout, but there comes a time when you just need to call for more employees to work the registers. read more

I'm awarding a 4-star rating to this Ralph's as it consistently delivers quality products irrespective of aisle in which products are found, and this Ralph's staff are polite and honorable. I did not wake up on wrong side of bed this morning, and in fact woke up in a happy, bouncy mood. I cannot make comment on potential price differential between broccoli and broccoli crowns as I failed to note price points for each item although will assume that broccoli crowns fetch a higher, if only slightly higher, price point than broccoli. However, I did note today that there are only two points of difference between broccoli crowns and broccoli. Stems to broccoli crowns are about 2 inches shorter than broccoli, and broccoli is presented in 2 stems wrapped by rubber band. Ralph's broccoli crown presentation presents as less value for money when compared to broccoli crowns with little stem and offered at Safeway in San Francisco. I don't know everyone's name but this has been our neighborhood Ralph's and we are very happy with the whole store and all the staff!! Lauren from Bakery helped us when the cupcakes didn't have decorations and when I asked her, she happily helped grab decorations with a smile. That's what makes your shopping experience a good one when they are glad to help :) Liz and Chris and Adrien is always so helpful and welcoming!! I got cheated again today, the self service gun is pointing right at the Chocolate bars it automatically charged me so I ask the clerk "Jennifer" to take it out. she pressed a button and I took it in good faith that it was taken out, when I drove home and checked the receipt it was still there, so I have to drive all the way back to Ralphs to get a refund. She told me I had press twice on the Chocolate which is a lie, then the manager gave me the refund without any apology. Like the word "SORRRY" does not exist. Went on a Monday evening around 7:30 pm. It was awful. Dirty and the produce department was a joke. No or minimal vegetables. Awful. I have been shopping at this place for over 20 years. They got that snoop dog cali red. Paid the $12 price following week was $8.99. Never know when to wait or just buy... But their alcohol is always stacked and has a great variety. I frequent the shop a lot since I do instacart and on many occasions I've seen the manager yell at the cart collectors for drinking water in the front or blasting them on the intercom. But its hot out so seems very in humane. I dont know her name since she doesn't wear a name tag shes nice to the customers who spark English. Shes also mean to the customers who ask her if she speaks another language. Where's the compassion? I know that the area has changed a bit but get with the times and everyone deserves kindness. The parking lot has been under construction for some time and the lots already small so this is worst. Has management gone downhill? Whenever I shop in the evening, I can never find shopping baskets. It's a scavenger hunt and pushing a cart just gives you the illusion that you should fill your basket up more (yup, there's some consumer studies out there!). So I went to get a basket and finally found one sitting on an empty check stand on the belt. It had items in the basket (maybe go-backs?) but the bagger from the other stand immediately told me not to use it and even said "why else is it there?" I am not an idiot, but baskets aren't for your own store use; aren't they for shopping? Do you need to be educated on what is a "shopping" basket? Please order more baskets because there is a battle on who deserves to use the baskets more. Lol read more

All the pictures of this location are old and before the remodel. This Ralph's is near Thai Paradise and the AMC. I've come to this Ralph's for the past 15 years, and it's always been clean and friendly. With COVID, I feel that they are taking the necesary steps to keep people safe. There is a line and limit to how many people are allowed in the store at once. There are signs limiting the amount of certain items each household can buy. I've been coming here 3 times a week the last 20 plus years .. morning crew is the sweetest from Jennifer to the managers . Well I had to come at night I had placed a pick up order checked in at 8 since app says u til 830 I waited 25 mins before I went in .. they have a little short Mexican manager when I say rude she tells me curbside closed at 5pm and she doesn't have a key then tells me u didn't pay I said lady how did I not pay it's a curbside u have to pay before coming if your the manager you should know it .. long story short she gives me a bs run around then say I'll go get it has one of the cashiers heavy set guy with a beard pretty tall gets my stuff and shoves me the shopping g cart.. when I mean I had to bite me tongue so bad .. My and my father went to self check in, and even though I was with my father on FATHER's day, she disrespected my father and me. We were about to buy alchocol and my father doesnt speak english so I always come with him and help him to check his out, when this lady came and started yelling and saying that we cannot purchase alchocol because my father gave me his cash and I just said he doesnt know how to count and he doesnt speak english. She waited until he started looking for his pockets if he has any cash left. Thats such a humiliating and disrespectful!!!!!! I am never ever coming to this Ralphs again at all. This is the closest market to me yet it's not where I do my regular shopping. Crazy parking lot with cars coming from all directions. The electric charging stations took away a good chunk of the north corner lot. Spots also get taken up by the people that come to buy from the food trucks that set up on Atlantic. On my visit tonite I found unstocked shelves and it was very crowded. I found myself constantly getting out of the way for other customers. For whatever reason the layout of this store just doesn't work. I'm sure it's similar in layout to other Ralph's--maybe it's the narrow aisles....to be fair perhaps it just feels this way because I don't come often enough to know it with familiarity. I don't always find what I need. For example, tonite I wanted a certain Silk soy milk...they didn't have it. know it's a random complaint, but who wants to make another trip elsewhere to get that one item? I get my groceries here every week. It's a pretty solid grocery store. It's always very clean and the staff are courteous. Parking is super easy as well, which is nice living in LA. The only reason I took away 1 star is that Oftentimes, they are out of certain items I need (last time I went I couldn't find any boneless skinless chicken breast). I like coming here for firm grapes on a Sunday in October. I went to Vons or Albertsons or other Ralphs but this location has very firm grapes. The market is smaller than other Ralph's. The cashier lines are short and the self service registers has short lines. It depends on the time you go. They sell mark down herbs or salads which others don't do. Very convenient and open late. Been coming here for 7.5 years. Right next to the Bank of America. The staff is generally friendly, with an occasional lady at the cashier having a bad day. I get it. It's a tough job. Produce looks good, you can get one, large bunch of kale for 99 cents each, and parsley is now 2 for 99 cents. There's enough parking, but it's crowded every day around 5pm and then it's not fun. Come in the mornings around 8am and your experience will be good. Bakery and deli staff have always been so nice to me; we like to discuss the fried chicken because I love fried chicken. My kids like their fresh donuts, and they decorate them seasonally. Shout out to Big Landon that works nights because he's just patient and nice. Another outstanding employee is Adrian; he ALWAYS has a smile on his face and will give your kids stickers. Great store with great employees. Grocery store ratings on yelp are not so fair because many people will only yelp review a grocery store if there was something they didn't like. But I really like this Ralphs. I like it better than the one down Atlantic near the 60. This Ralphs is a great store. All the people there are totally cool. Surprisingly, this Ralph's doesn't carry instant coffee. I asked the cashier once and she sent a worker to get it where they kept it looked up. So I just stopped buying instant coffee there. I like Sauer Kraut on my sandwiches, I've purchased it for over fifty years. This Ralph's has only the overpriced Bubbies brand. I prefer the much cheaper no name brand most places sell, all Sauer Kraut tastes the same to me. The chicken wings at the deli counter are tiny, the smallest wings I've ever seen. Most places have bigger, meatier wings. Counter service at the Deli runs at a snail's pace. I complained to the manager, but he just made excuses instead of making improvements in service. This Ralph's remains the closest large supermarket to me, so I still patronize it despite the drawbacks. I couldn't buy soda today because the Coca Cola delivery guy had the whole aisle blocked. August 4th, 2020 For the convenience and simplicity of shopping I downloaded the Ralph's mobile app to make purchases of my everyday necessities. It was a smooth shopping experience as I was able to find everything that I needed available for pick up at the Ralph's store in Monterey Park on Atlantic Blvd. Checkout was completed successfully. However when I picked up my items at Ralph's (looking at my digital receipt), I noticed that I was over charged by a few dollars. This was clearly a system error so I contacted Ralph's customer care. Immediately I received a call back from ZACK MILLER who promptly resolved my issues. He provided me with top notch customer service. I am a very impressed and satisfied customer. I gave a 5 star review due to the excellent customer service that my husband and I received from Janae (in the Floral Dept.) on December 30, 2020. I had been to 4 grocery stores to look for an ingredient that I needed to make banana cream pies for New Years Day. To my surprise, the ingredient was sold out at all the stores. As a last resort, I decided to call Ralphs at 330 N Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA and Janae answered my call. I explained to her what I needed and wanted to make sure that Ralphs at that location had the item before my husband drove out there. She found the item and offered to hold 4 of them until my husband got there to purchase it. It was a $.79 item and I received the customer service of high end store. My husband told me that in person, Janae was friendly and had a great attitude. Now, I can make my banana cream pies for New Years day thanks to Janea; and of course Ralphs that stock the ingredient. I have been going to this Ralphs for about 8 years and am realizing how much I like and depend on it. On occasion, I will go to a different specific market; but as time goes on I find the need to do so very infrequent. This Ralphs has everything I need. The hours are good, the parking is adequate, and it is well stocked for a market of its size. It is not perfect, but I would not wish it to be different from what it is. The people who work there are good at what they do and try hard to make the shopping experience positive. I appreciate the people very much. In addition, Ralphs provides digital coupons and weekly sales that save me money. I am often happy with a great deal I received on an item I regularly use. Then they send me coupons. It's clean. The Ralph's app has a surprising number of discounts. That helps because a lot of their pantry items are more expensive than other markets in the area. The employees are helpful. I'm obsessed with going to Ralph's mainly for the discounted items!! I have to go here at least once a week! I have gotten lots of great food and things that people don't want such as where the cereal box is dented but the bag is still intact or soon to be expired canned goods, chocolate, tomato sauce, etc. for super low prices. I had an issue with the digital coupons and was charged incorrectly. Their staff quickly address this and resolved my issue quickly. With automation comes human errors when programming the app/system, which is understandable, but the customer service to resolve the error.. spot on. The five star is for their Sushi Bar, especially, the salmon sashimi since I like my protein after a good workout. The salmon Sashimi is always fresh and tasty. Anytime you pickup sushi from here, the workers are always so sweet, and thank you for buying their items :) Also, if they don't have a certain type of sushi roll or salmon sashimi, you're looking for, they'll also make it for you on the spot or answer any questions if you don't know what type of protein is in the sushi rolls. Tonight, Mike the sushi chef made mines. The slices are big, but not too thick (he ain't no Mr. Yama of Yama Seafood in San Gabriel). However, it gets the job done of satisfying my post workout cravings. I've also tried their sushi before and I like it. I like the rainbow roll, eel roll and dragon rolls. They also have the seaweed too. Tasty and fresh, I like their sushi here. I only wish they had a sushi bar over at the Ralphs on Huntington Drive in Arcadia. This is the closest and most convenient Ralphs to me, but a handful of visits ago I wrote to the store manager to address the staff stocking produce having their masks below their noses, and then when my groceries were bagged I realized, upon arriving at home, that they had bagged raw meat with my fresh produce. The store manager responded that all staff had been trained in sanitary bagging, but when I went back it almost happened again - I had to yelp at the bagger not to mix the produce with raw meat. I emailed the store again but didn't hear back this time. While I love the fresh produce at Ralphs, I'm not going to go to this particular one until covid is over and I can bag my own groceries. read more

It's not bad for a Ralph's. A bit more cluttered and not as spick and span as say, the location in Monrovia, but for the area it's in...not too shabby at all. Variety and options of food is also not as vast as other locations (no Popcorners, etc), but it'll do for all your basic needs. It also has a recycling center in the back as well. read more

This location has been my go-to for years because it's so close to my home. I usually just buy simple groceries but tonight-a Friday night- I decided to splurge a little and go for the fresh seafood from the deli. The peeled snow crab legs caught my eye- at least that's what it looked like at first. After getting home, I opened the package along with a bottle of Rose, I noticed a bit of red bits that looked more like red dye instead of snow crab meat. After taking a few bites I realized I was eating imitation crab meat that was molded to look like crab legs(the irony-I know) For those who aren't familiar with how IMITATION crab meat looks like, they are actually cylindrical layers of fish. I'm very disappointed that the very few times I decide to splurge and go for the overpriced deli items, that Ralph's (or this particular location) would market this item as "real" snow crab legs, especially that it's placed next to the actual marketed brands imitation CL, but I guess I should've known better. read more

When you are in need of toiletries and it's passed 10 PM a great place to get it is at Ralphs. I didn't know they were open till 2 in the morning but now I know. Seriously the parking lot was dead empty, during the night hours so that's good. There is one bagger and one cashier guy inside and the store is nicely lit at night. Didn't have a hard time finding what I needed and I got a few others thing's that I wanted to bring back to Asia so I'm pretty happy that I came here during the foggy night. I would say the best time to do your grocery shopping is late at night so no one will bother you and you don't have to wait in those long lines.
