Ruggle's Hallmark Shop is located in the Montebello Towne Center Mall in Montebello, CA. The two young ladies working on July 8, 2022 were really sweet and helpful. My nine-year-old and seven-year-old daughters were there to pick out a birthday card for their aunt. The selections for aunts & aunties were fairly limited, but we managed to find one. Here, they don't even ask you if you want one of the gold crown stickers like they do at other stores - they put it in your shopping bag automatically. I like that! Love Hallmark. Always such a pleasure coming to Ruggle's. The owner and the staff are so warm and welcoming. I don't make it here all that often (living aways away in LA) but I'm always so impressed that the manager recognizes me and thanks me by name. The Hallmark Ornament Premiere weekend is a big day and it's impressive that they open early (7am). Fantastic store and customer service was great. I was looking for a specific ornament which was not available on display. They took the time to check their inventory in the back. Unfortunately, it wasn't available, but they told me that I could place a hold on the item given the ornament was arriving a week later. read more

Awesome spot located inside The Shops At Montebello. Ruggle's Hallmark has nice employees who go out of their way to make sure your visit was great and that you leave happy even if you don't purchase anything. Sure, they have birthday cards and congratulation plush toys, those are always great! What wifey and me go for are the seasonal and limited release Christmas ornaments and Disney Traditions by Jim Shore, these are perfect for displays and bragging rights haha Although our Christmas tree during the holidays consist of mainly Disney ornaments. We have to give thanks to Ruggle's Hallmark for being able to order items that they might have ran out of or didn't get in the store for whatever reason. They really do care. I have not had any problems and will continue to be a happy customer. Can't wait to see what other collectibles they'll release! read more

One of the lone bright spots in the shopping center now known as The Shops at Montebello is Ruggle's Hallmark. Came here on Saturday to purchase a birthday card and have a gift wrapped because I come to discover Macy's no longer offers gift wrapping. As I entered the store, I was promptly and cheerfully greeted by a SA. I asked if they gift wrap and she said yes. She directed me to the cashier, who was equally kind. You may be asking why didn't I just buy the wrap and bow and do it myself. Well, the birthday party was 30 minutes away and I didn't have time. For the record, I enjoy wrapping gifts! The wrapping job was done well enough for my standards and more importantly, quick! Total damage for card and wrap: $6.35! Not too shabby! And...I made it to the surprise birthday party on time! ;-) read more

Lawsuit coming to this store. I went in to this store to look for Valentine's Day grams for my 4 year old's class. I was pointed to the cards. My 86 year old grandma (half blind), my mother, my 4 year old, and myself were looking at cards for no more than 10 minutes. As I was going to make my purchase, the so called owner of the store approached my grandmother and began to yell foul language and racial slurs asking her to get the F**k of out there. He was upset because we were touching cards and not buying. Isn't that the point of shopping around for cards idiot? When I asked him not to talk to her that way he responded the same way to me and tried to rush to my son and tell him to leave the stickers he wanted me to purchase. I left the stickers and he continued to follow us out using profanity. If I wasn't an educated and civil person, I would've punched that man to the ground. Instead, I'm smarter than that. I will destroy your business and make sure everyone knows of this man, late 60-70's with a heavy foreign accent goes by Avo. As a manager at a corporate office, I would never treat someone as foul as he did. He mistreated women and a child in front of others. Brace yourself because this is not the last you will hear from me. I will be pursing legal and corporate sanctions for your unacceptable behavior. You are no one to mistreat people like criminals just because we didn't buy the cards you felt we should've purchased. You are a disgrace to the hallmark brand. Shame on this store. I've always had a positive experience when I visit this location The employees at the store are friendly. They have helped me gift wrap my gifts to the party on time. Poor customer service, girls at register are very rude and disclosing information in front of customers. Stating that they need to leave. When informing my wife that the coupon she had can't be used towards the purchase cause of what it says in the back. She was okay with it and said "Oh! I didn't see it". She then made a remark as she walked away "Well maybe you should look!". As we left the store my 11 year old daughter then said "mommy they we're pretty rude". My wife went ahead and called the store to speak to the manager. They didn't release name nor told her when she can call back to speak to someone. I think they seriously need to train their employees on good customer service. read more

I enjoy looking at there Charlie Brown and Precious Moments collection. It is adorable and makes it easy for me to give it as gifts to my friends and family. Today, I walked in to buy my dad a birthday card and from the moment I walked up to the register Cynthia was kind, polite, and figuring out solutions to my problems. I remembered I ordered a few cards online back in October I never picked up. & she made sure I got taken care of and even remembered my order and apologized for not being able to get in contact with me sooner although, that was my fault not the stores. Hallmark is one of my top 5 favorite stores to get lost in with all those thoughtful cards. It's even a better store experience when you're helped by someone with exceptional customer service. I went to this hallmark store to return some Halloween decorations. Except for a few items, the other items met the return requirements. One of them was this stupid power cord that you attach various Halloween decorations to to power them up. The beeyatch manager would not accept any of them for return! Said they were all decorations, which they were not! Since when is a power cord a decoration?! This stubborn beeyatch would not budge, even though she was clearly wrong. Told her off before we left. We went to the nearest Hallmark company owned store, and they gladly accepted the items I wanted to return to ruggles (should actually call them rumpples), but only as store credit. I told them that was fine, as we usually shop at the company owned store. However, the power cord could only be returned for one cent (0.01)! Yup! 1-cent! That's because it was a discontinued model, with a newer one for 2018 already on the market. AH-HA!! THAT'S THE REAL REASON WHY THE BEEYATCH MANAGER FROM RUMPPLES, AH, I MEAN RUMPPLES WOULDN'T TAKE THE RETURN!!! THAT BEEYATCH OF A MANAGER COULD NOT RESELL IT AT CURRENT PRICE, BUT AT A HUGE DISCOUNT OR TAKE A LOSS ON THE ITEM!!! So, I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute on the purchase of the power cord I had bought at RUMPPLES, AH, I MEAN, RUMPPLES! After investigating my claim, my credit card company decided in my favor and reversed the charges. I will NEVER, EVER shop at this store again! In my opinion which is based on my experience with RUMPLEES, ah, I mean RUMPLEES, this is a very dishonest business, and they are a bunch of crooks!
