It's like walking into little Mexico. Workers don't even speak English. Bad. Dollar tree should encourage these workers by paying or providing enough classes sit why can better their lives. They are in America. Be respectful and learn and assimilate to English and the American culture. The store is a mess and some of their perishable products are molding on the shelf. I was there at 2 pm, and I noted that the cashier in register 4 spoke English to everyone in line but when it was my turn, she assumed that I spoke Spanish so she addressed me in Spanish. Again, she did this only to me, despite that I spoke English to her. I wanted to speak to the manager but that cashier said that she was not at the store. I did find the manager and told her my concerns. So, the cashier at station 4 lied about the manager not being at the store. Please don't assume everyone speaks Spanish. And don't lie about your manager not being at the store. To me, this shows that the cashier is a liar who cannot be trusted. read more

I went to the dollar store to buy toilet paper. I always go there and the associates are usually nice. But today I was offended! I came from the market carrying my bag. When I walked in the cashier guy saw me carrying it and even greeted me. When it was my turn to pay, he was ringing me up, and said "those (pointing to my grocery bag) are from another store right?" Wtf! I replied, "yes, I just came from the market ". Bro you saw me carrying the bag! I've never been asked that question in my life! Dang did I look homeless or something wtf!! read more

The manager Gabby is rude. I didn't even know she worked there because when I saw her in the isle she was on her phone. I asked for another register to be opened because we had been there for 10 minutes. She laughed at me and said you have not been standing here for 10 minutes. I don't understand why she would walk away like that she is Rude. No customer service what's so ever. read more

This is rating for the so-called manager who loses her temper in front of customers: I hate to do this review, but i felt it was necessary. The manager "gabriela" not sure if that's her name because she blocked her name badge on purpose, lashed out on a customer, and asked a question about purchasing a balloon. I turned around and started saying that it was not ok to speak in a rudely condescending manner, then lashed out at me! THIS WHOLE TIME this manager was in video call with a friend talking about the weekends posada!!! The whole isle was blocked with trash because she was casually putting out new products. She yelled at me and told me she couldn't help the cashier because her supervisor told her to work on new merchandise. I asked for her name, and she blocked it, took out my cell, and threatened to call police. I dont know why, but I told her I wasn't leaving to be able to speak to them if they came. Many people saw her behavior. This is so unfortunate because she has behaved like this to others. Someone said that they don't approach her because they know how she is. I'm sorry to Brian. He was the cashier and looked too nervous to help. Dollar tree, please check on workers' mental health there, I will email a complaint to the corporate office. Horrible employees. 1 cashier, 2 other capable teenage employees 20 feet away, clueless about the 20 angry customers coming from work (6pm) in line to buy Valentines merchandise in a rush. I walked out otherwise i would've turned into a Karen. Others walked out, too. Who manages the store? Shouldn't a customer be a priority? THE WORST DOLLAR TREE I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!!! Came for rubber bands and qtips, they didn't have rubber bands and I had to badly use the restroom and the lady up front said BOTH restrooms were out of order?!?! So, I questioned her further asking how TWO restrooms weren't functional, asking what they used all day? And she said " Well, they are working, but I haven't cleaned them and they're out of toilet paper". I AM 10000000 % sure you could just walk down an aisle and stock up the RR. That wasn't even the worst part, she then said "I can let you in but with no toilet paper". I declined. SO grossed out, I just grabbed what I was able to find, "qtips" and went to wait in line, which was as long as the aisle!!! Definitely am staying away from this store. read more

I went to the dollar tree they closed 1/2 an hour early.It is a inconveniwnce,especially when the web site says there open till 9.pm. That is the reason I googled it before wasting my time an going overthere,I was not able to buy my pets their food just because a manager closed early. read more

I applied to the store a week and a half ago, I called in to see if my application was ok and on its way. The hiring manager explained to me that she checks the applications every two weeks and was planning on checking them this Friday, so I asked if I should call back then, she said no, call back Saturday. I called today and the lady who answered the phone asked for my name and why I was calling, I told her said hiring manager said to call back. She carries the phone over and doesn't press mute, all I can hear is "a Joshua said you told him to call today." And the hiring manager said "he's a lair I've never spoken to him", she then began to tell me that the store manager was in the previous day and she didn't check any applications because she was so busy. I then said when do you expect you will. She said I don't know. I said thank you for you for time and she hung up on me. I can't find a way to contact corporate over this I'm mad she openly called me a liar. read more

I do not come often to this store but when I do it is always so dirty and unorganized. There are boxed and trash all over the aisles. I saw plenty of staff but they were just talking. Did not see anyone putting things away. And only one cashier open even though line was long. Many selves are empty. Limited of supplies. read more

This dollar tree is a bit small and often messy and most of the time only one cashier checking out people . they do have a frozen food and cold food section which I like and have a good selection of other foods and snack foods. read more

Every time I come I believe she is the manager always rude so bossy the way how she talks to the workers front of customers what needs to be done. Instead of being the best customer service. The employees are more friendly than the manager. I hardly go to this dollar tree store, the reason I go because it's close to my house and keep the business in east la. The reason I don't go is because never parking and because of the manager. Every time I go get ballons here she always say get the balloons that are already out and blown up. We are not blowing up ballons.. geez the ballons they have already have don't mean we want them, those are not the ones we want. So rude!!! There goes their sales. Montebello is worth the drive. I feel bad for the workers that have to deal with that lady and she don't even really smile. I understand if you can't blow the ballons up because there is no helium just say so why the reason is or sorry for the inconvenience be polite about it.
