You can find this style of clothing at many other stores, but a couple of things distinguish J.Jill: 1) high quality, attractive clothing (that's designed to last) and 2) great service (like they seem to know what you're looking for).

I normally dont write any bad reviews for establishments, but this unexpected disappointing…read moreencounter at the check out desk with Anna left a bad taste in my mouth. She charged me extra (duplicated the charges on multiple products) while ringing up my things. Though the sum of extra charge wasn't a large amount, I brought it back to her attention and asked if it would be easier for me to just grab the products that she ALREADY charged me extra for as opposed to refunding it (the line was long so figured it might help keep the line moving along). I showed her that the products at the top of the receipt that were duplicated and it took her SOO LONG to review it. She took out the products from the bag. I figured she was trying to compare every item to the receipt so I tried to help her organize it face up to make it easier for her and she told me to take a step back. Ok sorry, my bad... I was just trying to help, but I stepped away... I stood there as she counted and recounted, reviewing the receipt for what look like the 10th time... After she realized her mistake, she asked if I wanted a refund or just grab the extra products, and I again said if it's easier for her, I can just get the extra ones she charged. That way she wouldn't have to hold up the line b/c it was still building up. She asked the manager who was pleasant and said we could just take the products since we had already paid for them. We left our bag at the counter per Anna's request and went to get our products. As I'm picking out the items that I was already charged for, she follows me and hands me back my bag with the rest of things (ok.... but didn't you just ask me to leave it at the counter with you...). I showed her the items so she could match it with the receipt. She nods and tells me to head back to the counter AGAIN so she could process the charges... I'm sorry, but WHAT IS THERE TO CHARGE? You already mistakenly charged me extra for the products to begin with. I was honestly so close to just returning all the items... Luckily the manager was more reasonable and said we can leave as we had already paid for all our products. I wish I had gotten the manager's name, but thank you for making it right.

I…read moreCAN be a little awkward but I have been collecting contemporary AND vintage coach bags for years, I'm really passionate about the brand and keep up to date with the new drops. I dragged my boyfriend in to make a big purchase. (If there is one store I'm not introverted in, it's Coach) and I'm browsing bags, rattling off facts, annoying him with lore, and it took awhile for me to notice we never got greeted. Store was not busy, we were pretty much in the middle of the room, and I can honestly say that this is not the service I would've expected. I started feeling really self conscious and asked my boyfriend if he can get someone to see if the stuff I picked out was available in the back, because the floor model of the bag I wanted was scuffed. An associate allegedly told him that she'd be right back, time passes and we see her talking to another customer. We give her more time and she's obviously not in a rush to finish helping us. We left after waiting over 15min. I was really disappointed with my experience there, especially knowing that I've visited other stores and have received outstanding service. I have worked retail and the very LEAST she could've done was gotten another associate to help us OR just acknowledge that she would finish with us in a moment because she was busy.

The manager made the interaction unnecessarily difficult, claiming that because two orders for the same item were placed using the same credit card, she could not return the item purchased at the higher price. My grandmother had to point out the order number clearly listed on the invoice to her before she was able to locate the order. Throughout the interaction, the manager repeatedly spoke to my grandmother as though she could not understand English. Her behavior was condescending and reflects poorly on both the store and the company.

I brought the jacket in for a smaller size. The store removed the tags because I asked them to open the pockets. The day after I needed the suit I brought it back to return it. It hadn't been worn, but without the tags they won't accept it. THEY REMOVED THE TAGS. The suit was unusable and sold as separates.
