The manager at Arcadia Frier Tux, Joson, was patient, professional, understanding, knowledgeable, and went the distance put me at ease during the stress of planning a wedding. Joson made sure to fit me for my tux and my groomsmen for their suits, as our sizes kept changing. On my wedding date, Joson provide myself and my groomsmen each with multiple sized jackets, shirts, shoes, and bowties to make sure we had the right sized clothing for wedding day. Had a great rental experience getting my groomsmen set up in suits for my wedding. Our color theme was rainbow, and we wanted each groomsman and bridesmaid in a different shade of the rainbow. We were able to come in and play around with the color combinations for the groomsmen until we found the right mix. The staff was very helpful, kind, and patient throughout the whole process. The measurement process was straightforward and did not require my groomsmen to go to a store (some were out of state) and the suits were shipped to them and arrived a few weeks before the event. The fits were pretty good, but not perfect for everyone. The price was very reasonable. Very happy with my experience and would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for suit rentals. read more

Amazing staff. I've been coming to this location for 3 years and the staff always gets me right looking good and sharp. They have a wide selection of styles and colors. Tiffany was an amazing help. They discontinued the white and silver buttons that I would always get and was bummed out but Tiffany came to the rescue and was able to find some for me. She was such a great help styling me up to match my girlfriends pink dress. I have a hard time seeing colors and my girlfriend loves the style and color she chose to match with my girlfriend so that I can compliment her dress. Wonderful experience with this location. My friends set up a "groom bridal party for 6" online and we got a discount for our set up. I customized it at the check in process and got fitted at my convenience. I didn't have to set up an appointment to get fitted, I just showed up and in 2 weeks, it was ready for me. When I returned it, it was very smooth and easy. I actually forgot the bow tie in my car and was about to drive off, but got a call almost immediately so I was able to return it without a hitch. Friar Tux is Southern California and Las Vegas's suit and tuxedo provider with 25+ locations as of September 2023. The first store is located in Lakewood in 1974. Our party came here for tuxedos rental. Easy and free street parking in this part of the town. [First visit - selecting tux - seven weeks before the wedding] Our party just walked in without an appointment and the staff told us to scan the QR code at the door to check in. Next, one of the staff helped us selecting a tux. Each one of us automatically received $30 off for our rental orders and the discount is similar to the Yelp 15% off check-in offer. Initially the groom wanted to wear the exact same color of tux as groomsmen, but the staff advised against the idea so the groom ended up picking a slightly different bow tie color. At the end the staff set up a separate date on getting us measurements. [Second visit - measurements - three weeks before the wedding] The staff took approximately 15 minutes per person for measurements and they were able to measure two people at a time. Once all measurements were completed, each one of us had to pay our outfits on the spot and the total was approximately $225. My rental order included the following: Dark Blue Broadway Coat & Pants & Vest, White Ike Behar Cotton Laydown Collar Shirt, White and Silver Studs and Cufflinks (I actually didn't get any of them), Tan Matte Bow Tie, Light Brown Matte Oxford, and Tan Matte Pocket Square. No belt was needed as the staff said tuxedo doesn't need one and our group got our own matching socks. The staff gave us a general pick-up time slot in order to try and fit our customized outfits for one more time. [Third visit - fitting - one week before the wedding] One of the staff told me to try my outfits and made additional changes (slight bigger coat and shorter sleeves). She told me to come back 5 days before the wedding date. [Fourth visit - pick-up - 4 days before the wedding] I was supposed to pick up my order 5 days before the wedding date, but I had to attend the wedding rehearsal so I came 4 days before the wedding date instead. This time it was a perfect match. I picked up my order and the staff said that (1) I need to return my rental suit the day after the wedding and (2) I am able to return my suit at any Friar Tux locations. [Special notes] Minimum $40 payment required to place rental order. $40 cancellation fee applies for orders cancelled after measurements have been taken. If picking up in store, a fitting is required on pickup date to ensure proper fit. $10 late fee per day. On 8th day customer shall be responsible for full retail value of items not returned plus applicable late fees. Mandatory garment handling fee covers inspection of garments for repairable stains and damages. Customer is responsible for retail value of lost or stolen items. A credit card on file is required on all rentals. [Conclusion] I was able to return my suit at a different location without an issue, but unfortunately (1) I did not get a return receipt via email while my other friends did, so I had to visit this Arcadia store later to get a physical copy for my record (2) I actually did not receive any studs and cufflinks, but the staff said that customers can keep studs and cufflinks as they have no barcode tags to begin with. My friends actually didn't know what to do with studs and cufflinks (no instructions were given during our pick-up) - in fact one of my friends broke his studs and ended up not using any of them during the wedding. Overall it was a solid experience (friendly service) with some minor hiccups (not receiving borrowing/return confirmation emails, not receiving studs and cufflinks, broken studs for one of my friends, and not knowing returning rules for studs and cufflinks). read more

We recently had a wedding to attend and Joson went above and beyond for my husband. From the first visit to the second check he made sure he felt good he even ordered a size above so we had OPTIONS! OMG talk about attention to detail this man is a BLESSING this store is now our go to for any special occasions we have in the future!! The store is bright and clean many options to choose from and they are always quick to help with different colors and textures for bow ties, shirts, etc. We essentially went in with a vision but he takes his time to help you seriously look and feel your absolute best. We received so many compliments my husband suit color stole the show! (Venice style I believe) when we went back for the second fitting/final pickup he went through piece by piece not once but three times, really makes you feel like FAMILY is taking care of you! No lie, we are forever customers because of the wonderful soul that we have encountered there. Knowledge about products, style, colors and friendly companionship through the entire process I mean ENTIRE PROCESS. The first time my husband visited this place was for our wedding in Las Vegas. He forgot his ray bans in the pocket after we had returned it in LV (hotel could take it back for us which was a PLUS!) and he made the call to the store in Baldwin talked to Joson and he made it happen, he located the glasses and had them shipped back to the store... a true friend and we truly appreciate his graciousness and hospitality!
