The person on the phone was very helpful. We showed up this past Sunday (without an appointment) and we were out the door with everything my boyfriend needed. Extremely happy with everyone at Friar Tux! My partner is a former football player so shopping for suits can get "interesting". Appointments are super easy and convenient. We had to have multiple alterations but everyone at Friar was determined to make sure everything was perfect and to the man's liking. I watched from the waiting area how the staff remained attentive to my partner's requests (shoulders needed to be comfy, arms needed to be a specific length, etc) and made sure to give us timely updates. I think out of the 2 additional fittings we had to squeeze in, every order that arrived was earlier than the estimated time. Ex: If we were told a new blazer was estimated to arrive by 2, we would get a call saying it was ready for us to try on around 12! I love efficiency! I was in dire need of a tux for a destination wedding. I didn't know the intricacies of a black tie affair and was not prepared. Luckily, Loralee came through for me. She educated me on the differences between suits and tuxedos and made sure I wouldn't stick out like a sore, out of fashion thumb. I posted a positive review back in 2017, but apparently a lot has changed since then, and not in a good way. We made an appointment on 3/27 at 1pm to get fitted for a tux for my wedding on 4/16. We showed up to a crowded store, and they were not able to fit me in a reasonable amount of time, despite the fact that we made an appointment. What's the point of making one, if they're not going to honor it. I agreed to come back on Tuesday, 3/29. They said it was their "slow day". Everything went better, although I feel that it took a very long time to enter my order into the computer. We were there for about an hour and a half. Nonetheless, I got fitted and wound up purchasing my tux. I was told that the expected arrival date would be 4/4, which is today. Called several times today and nobody at the store could pick up the phone, so the calls kept going to the corporate office. I was also hung up on once. As it turns out, "most" of my tux was at the store except for the shirt which was on backorder for 4 to 8 weeks! They are renting me a shirt free of charge, so at least they made good on that. I also rented several accessories which weren't going to be available to pick up until 4/14, two days before I get married. Not a comfortable timeframe. On my last call, the corporate office told me that it was "prom season". I asked them "so this is all to be expected? I'm a customer too. In fact, I'm BUYING a tux from you, not renting one". They said they're under-staffed. This I believe. I'm sorry to say that the overall experience has not been good this time. Joson provided great customer service when we went in to look for tux. He made sure we got everything we're looking for. The only issue we had with some of the groomsmen, their pants were too loose. So make sure to go to your fittings and try on before your event and get any adjustments done before the big day. I like the convenience, tux can be picked up/ dropped off any location. I had a less than great experience here. A lady helped me get fitted and it seemed like she was new here. I went in, and the measurements were kind off. She kept asking me "how it felt" and while it "felt" alright, it didn't look alright. I came here because i was inexperienced at picking a suit myself and she didn't fully help me out. I had to fish for solutions. Like my suit was clearly too big and I had to ask for a slim version. Later, when i picked my suit up, it was one size too big. I asked if she could get a smaller size, and she was like, "nah, we can't get it in your time frame" Ok, I was in a rush and I had a flight in a few hours, so I just took it. Later, when i told my friend, he was like, "you can probably have shipped it" Looking back, that's such an obvious solution, and I feel like someone in the business should have told me that. I ended up calling them for a size down and it cost me an extra 50 dollars to ship. Tldr, go to another shop or find one of the more experienced employees(Joson apparently) read more
