What a classic Environment. Great food and reasonably priced! The Bloody Marys are excellent. Biscuits and gravy are some of the best we ever had. The Old Timers breakfast is amazing and very filling. Loved it and will be back.

Scram eggs, breakfast potatoes, rye toast which they gave me half multigrain thinking I wouldn't know the difference and bacon

We LOVED our server! She was fantastic! I have GOT to start remember names so they can be recognized. I should know better considering I am a director in the Food and Beverage industry. Shame on me! Diner themed restaurant was super cool with neon lights. I ordered rye toast but the oats on the crust was a dead give away that half of my toast was not rye bread lol. All good. The hash brown casserole was nasty and got my money back, it was like a queso(esq.) with peppers. Never known a had brown casserole to have peppers. Anyways....that manager is one hell of a damn worker, he helps his team, busses tables, and seats people. The hosts had a total RBF plus a total B our server was even excited to know that we asked for the manager to speak about how rude she was. She stuck out like a sore thumb because everyone of those team member were happy to be there, even on a crazy Saturday Morning.

Hash brown casserole: Golden and crispy, oozing with cheese, savory, comforting, pure carb-fueled bliss, crispy outside and soft inside. - Surfer omelette: Packed with generous fillings, tender and fluffy eggs, rich in savory flavor, massive portion, bursting with ingredients.

Had an amazing breakfast here today. The service was very fast and the food came within 20 minutes and they were relatively busy. My husband has been here multiple times and said he's never had a bad meal. Would recommend

Excellent casual 1950s diner style breakfast! The service was friendly and they kept the hot coffee full. The country fried steak meal with eggs toast and hash brown...chefs kiss! The gravy on the steak tasted like old school country gravy...Enter nostalgia. The hashbrown casserole had a slight kick to it, mild spicy no need for any hot sauce which was a nice surprise very tasty. The beignets the table over ordered looked good will probably try those next time. Filled up by 9 am!

Came here just on a Sunday morning and we didn't have to wait no time at all with around 10 people! Service was super fast and the server was extremely friendly . Food was fresh and it came as we order it! The omelette with the potatoes was delicious! Super cute diner style breakfast spot !

    Yummy seafood crepes!

We ate here two mornings on their outdoor patio while on our honeymoon, mainly because hubby likes breakfast all day offerings and I'm more of a bring on lunch girl. Because I'm a planner with a picky eating hubby, I always study the menus of restaurants beforehand so there are less disappointments. This one was a winner and the main draw in for me was the seafood crepes and they did not disappoint! Hubby had the big breakfast. Day two I had the sunrise burger with hash browns and all the hubby wanted was pancakes. Definitely a winner!

Great service we had a table of thirteen and Max was our waitress who did a great job. She made sure everyone was taken care of. I had the Smokehouse Classic which was 2 Eggs, bacon, home fries and a bagel. Wife had the Neat Lovers omelette (4) eggs and split it with her sister. My over medium eggs were perfect not crazy about the home fries not what I expected. Otherwise everyone else's meals were excellent. My wife and sister both loved their omelette they split. The place has a great vibe love the atmosphere of the place. Will still give it 5 stars beside the potatoes

Decor is fun - gives it a great atmosphere! Service was friendly, excellent and knowledgeable! Hair of the Dog Bloody Mary was great. The mix was not too spicy and tasted great! The marinated bean had a serious kick to it, though. The Brunch Tower Bloody Mary was huge! Same flavorful mix but enough chicken and waffle to serve on a side plate and take leftovers home. Coffee was excellent and refilled as needed. The 2-2-2-2 was great! A side of hash browns were also fantastic!!

We ate here two mornings in a row because it was close to our hotel and we enjoyed it enough to come back! Just like Crabby's, "beachside" is in the name but it's more beachside adjacent, which is fine. We saw 2 local police officers and what we thought were other locals there, so we knew it must be good. The first morning hostess was very young and kinda had the Gen Z Stare about her, but she seated us just fine, if a bit unenthusiastically. Our server, who ended up taking care of us both mornings, was fantastic: very down to earth and personable. Oh and they have Coke Zero, my favorite! (Sometimes it's hard to find) I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with hash browns and my husband ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with home fries. The description for my burrito says "eggs, cheese, sausage, and crushed avocado". But it was like 85% egg, 14% cheese and avocado, and maybe 1% sausage. I'm not even sure I would have known sausage was in it if the description had not said! It was good, but they could really stand to increase the sausage in the burrito. The hash browns were good, very crispy and simple. My husband loved his chicken and it also came with a huge serving of eggs, a biscuit, and home fries. He said those were a bit deceiving because they didn't seem like home fries - but they were still good. He really loved his breakfast and I enjoyed mine, but was a bit disappointed. The second morning's hostess was more friendly and we got the same server from the day before, who almost remembered our drink order! This time, I got the Surfer Omelette with grits and wheat toast and my husband got the Smokehouse with bacon and a biscuit. I loved this omelette more than the burrito although once again, it was a bit skimpy on the meat (this time, bacon instead of sausage) but it still had more than yesterday's burrito, which wouldn't have taken much. Still, I polished it off and was thoroughly pleased. My husband liked the Smokehouse but said yesterday's chicken was way better. His main disappointment was the biscuit - he could tell immediately that it was a leftover biscuit from yesterday. It was crumbly and cold, unlike the fresh warm biscuit from morning #1. So he and I had opposite experiences both days: he loved morning #1 but I loved morning #2. It's a cool place, with good service, food comes out fast and good, and they play classic rock or what I hear kids these days calling "Grandpa Rock"? Anyway, highly recommend this place if you're in St. Augustine!

Yummy love their biscuits and grits are delicious.

Went for late Valentine's lunch. Hubby had the fish and chips and I had the Cobb salad with a mimosa. Both meals were great. Highly recommend this place and will will return again.

My husband and I came in for a late breakfast on MLK and enjoyed a protein heavy breakfast. We got the protein combo that had eggs, bacon, and sausage. Very yummy. Service was very quick. Cute diner setting by the beach. They also have a military discount :)

The service was excellent, and the food has that fresh, thoughtful, farm-to-table feel where you can tell care is going into what comes out of the kitchen. For me, one of the biggest highlights was how seriously they take gluten-free dining. I had warm, made-from-scratch gluten-free biscuits with pork belly and a peach bourbon jam, and oh my goodness -- absolutely to die for. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. It is not often that you find a gluten-free biscuit that feels like you are getting the full experience rather than settling for an alternative. I was also impressed by how many gluten-free options they offer. Even their po' boy can be battered with rice flour. Our waiter explained that the chef is gluten-free and that they are very mindful of guests with celiac disease, including separating food preparation when needed. That level of care is a huge plus. And it wasn't just the gluten-free food that impressed us. One friend ordered the meatloaf sandwich and received a seriously hearty piece of meatloaf. My husband had the BLT with pimento cheese on thick sourdough bread, and it was excellent. We also heard that the chicken and waffles, offered during dinner, are a must-try -- so that may be calling us back! The cocktail menu was another win. The drinks were creative, original, flavorful, and clearly thoughtfully crafted rather than just the standard options you see everywhere. Everyone in our group seemed genuinely happy with what they ordered, which says a lot. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, creative drinks, fantastic food, and some of the best gluten-free options I've come across. Five stars all the way. I would absolutely return to The Floridian and work my way through more of that gluten-free menu!

All of the names of the items have a car reference since the restaurant was previously a filling station. The decor also has a car ambiance. I chose the mustang burger. It had American cheese, bacon, bbq sauce and an onion ring on it. It was very tasty. Side options were fries, coleslaw, sweet potato fries or onion rings. I went with the onion rings. Long waits are common for this spot. The interior is the old Ice Plant so it has great character. Not super large so limited dining spots within. Very high ceilings and though there were plenty of diners, it was overly loud. Great spot to enjoy the company you are with! Our server was top notch, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly but not trying to monopolize our table talk. We started with Cocktails which were all great. I went classic Old Fashioned, presentation AND taste were on point. We split the Crab Beignets order of 4. The breading on them was light and fluffy, the Crab tasty and they were cooked appropriately, no burns or underdone spots. For our main course, we elected to split 2 of the specials of the day so they may not be there when you go, but judging by the quality of the specials, any dish would be great. We had the Caesar Salad (which is like calling the Queen Mary2 a "boat"!). It is next level, 7 minute eggs, homemade croutons, Anchovie forward, all good! We also split an order of Shrimp Cake Sliders. These were huge, and the slaw that accompanied was the perfect match to the shrimp without overwhelming them. For dessert we settled on the Pineapple cake which also had coconut and all kinds of wonderful flavors going on! A really outstanding meal from beginning to end!

The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!
