Great spot for a quick breakfast. Lots of options with lunch side of the menu starting at 11:00 with breakfast u til 2:30. Great staff and friendly service. This place is great! A large group of us stopped in on a Sunday morning for brunch. We were seated really quickly even though they were very busy. They turn over tables pretty fast. Loved the nostalgic decor! Food was excellent. Big portions, even the kids menu, and great prices. Everyone enjoyed their meals - from burritos to waffles/pancakes to the power bowl. I always go for the Benedicts and the shrimp/crab one did not disappoint. Great coffee as well! We also got the dátil Bloody Mary which was perfect too. Despite all the awesomeness, there were 2 items that resulted in me giving 4 stars: while our waitress was awesome, we were not asked about splitting the check. Don't know if maybe this place just doesn't do that for ease but I've never not had a server ask this with a large group. The other reason was the temperature on the inside. We were dripping sweat, it got way too hot inside. We'll definitely be back given how good the food is. read more

I would highly recommend this breakfast spot, posing as a 90s cool diner. Bloody Mary's are good, the biscuits are perfection and the omelets are delish. The service was eh.....not the friendliest. I understand working in tourist towns can be difficult, but there were no smiles exchanged and I felt like a bother asking for anything from the bartenders. This place deserves its stars! You're getting 4 from me for food and overall experience but Jackie warrants the 5th star. She is the kind of server that makes me wish I were a local and able to frequent your establishment regularly. I'm not just referencing my personal experience but also basing it on watching how she interacted with all of the customers. You are lucky to have an employee like her. We came here for breakfast and thought the food was good. First time the food was excellent. Second time the food was good but the bacon had a strange fishy taste. Probably something from the oil on the grill. Otherwise, the food is good. The breakfast potatoes are especially good and highly recommend them over hash browns. They are not your typical cubed potatoes from a frozen food bag as many restaurants serve, but are fresh potatoes that seem to be both baked and fried. Excellent. Ambience is nice with an old fashion diner feel. The tables are spread out so you can have relatively easy conversation if it's not too busy. Service was fantastic. Wait staff are very friendly and are very attentive making sure drinks stay filled. Would definitely recommend. read more

This place is fabulous! I've been here three times now and had wonderful experiences each time!! The servers were all dressed up, very bubbly friendly & happy, and excellent at taking care of our needs! The food was phenomenal. I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Benedict with home fries. I love it so much, it's my usual now!! You get generous, hearty portions of crab meat. Good seasonings. Eggs were cooked perfect. Hollandaise sauce was creamy and succulent. The homefries are made with baby potatoes and so crisp and flavorful! The place has a beachy diner feel vibe. Cute decor, they even have a cool jukebox! Cute little diner experience with awesome service and delicious food!! We had the smokehouse, the cracked egg chicken biscuit, and the chicken tenders. The smokehouse was just a traditional breakfast, the bacon was good and the eggs were well cooked, the house fries are baby potatoes fried and salted and very tasty, but the biscuit is a must have! All of the chicken is breaded in house and cooked to perfection, so if you are a chicken fan, order a dish with chicken. The sausage gravy is not too salty or overly creamy, it was delicious! The hashbrowns are bit buttery which wasn't our favorite, but still good. This is a must visit if you are in the St, Augustine area!! read more

Walking into the place, very bright and inviting. We were seated and drinks taken very shortly after we sat down. We ordered the chicken biscuit with gravy on the side. Also had the cheesy grits with pancake with blue berries add. The food was very tasty. The chicken bust was freshly made both biscuit and chicken. I'm not usually a sausage gravy person but I became one today. It was very good out it. The sandwich and gone fries. The blueberry pancake was full of them and very tasty as well. Yelpers did it again and let us to this diner. Outdoor seating was perfect this morning. It was fairly busy on a Saturday morning, but Service was really good. We were able to get right in. The decor of the diner was reminiscent of the 1950s and cute. It was very clean and the staff could not have been more pleasant and attentive. While really wonderful the first time, the second time we hit this place up, the poached eggs in the eggs Benedict were overcooked. Luckily I had a side of over easy eggs as well so I was able to get my runny yolks. Think maybe they just let it sit under a heat lamp waiting to be served a little long. Amazing! The food, the service, all of it was great. We stopped for breakfast and we were full until dinner. The tacos had delicious flavor with the goat cheese. So the ambiance is a newer building that resembles an old school diner. It's nice. Staff were all friendly, no complaints there. Food was good, not GREAT, but solid, and the portions are definitely not stingy. We had breakfast, me the country fried steak and it was good. My wife had the Surfer Sarah omelette with gluten free bread (pleasant surprise) and she really enjoyed hers. She had a fruit cup with hers and she said the fruit was actually incredibly fresh, maybe her hi-light. Menu isn't terribly original, but I think my wife ordered the most inventive thing they had. Definitely satisfying, but if you want something more inventive you may want to try another spot. read more

The food was really delish! I had the egg whites omelette that was stuffed with spinach, tomatoes , and goat cheese. I had a side of fruit that was just enough. We had a seat outside on the veranda that was covered, semi-screened in, and a row of fans. I'm not a big fan of being outdoors at a restaurant, however, this was comfortable. Beachside Diner is our happy place. It's like home only better. The food is great. I used to think, it's just eggs. But no, the eggs here are fluffy, they give little potatoes and they are great tasting , the buttermilk biscuits are fresh out of the oven and the coffee is delicious. I don't know how they do it. Luckily, our party of 6 plus two dogs only waited 15 mins for a table. You list your name at the hostess stand and they will send a text once your table is ready. Service was average and food was pretty good, not the best. Other parties who ordered before us got their food first, but maybe because we were a bigger party. There are dogs everywhere, which is totally fine as a general matter but unfortunately, it resulted in dog hair being all over our food. I told our server, Lauren, who said absolutely nothing in response- completely ignored me. The service was sub par in general. Lauren kept handing one person all of the food in our order to pass out to the table even though there was plenty of room around it. She definitely could have taken two extra steps to serve the table herself. She only came once to check on us within the first couple of minutes we got our food. As a local I remember this place from waaaay back to Barnacle Bills. I am familiar with the local owners other dining options and they certainly have the experience. The current Diner atmosphere with red stools & a collection of license plates is excellent. Staff are friendly & efficient. I had several small sides that I find are a good assessment and I was not disappointed. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the fresh fruit very fresh and a nice assortment; and the beignets -- small dippers for an orange marmalade sauce were excellent. I highly recommend an order for your table as a perfect breakfast appetizer. I look forward to sampling more of the menu. The coffee refills were also very timely! read more

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The coffee is $5 and it doesn't even fill up a small styrofoam cup. The servers are just plain rude and the food didn't look like it was worth it.
