We've been bringing out-of-town guests here for years at their request. The breakfast is consistently good, particularly the omelettes and pancakes. On today's visit I had the country breakfast of two eggs over easy, bacon, wheat toast and fruit. Everything was good, though the bacon was a bit crispier than I prefer. The cup of fresh fruit was a nice alternative to hash browns, home fries or grits. The staff here is always on top of things and friendly. It has the vibe of a family business. read more

This is a locals joint that we have frequented for years as our favorite breakfast venue on the island. It's authentic without trying too hard, the prices are affordable, and food is really worthwhile. Today we got out late and sat down around noon and a spark of genius hit me. Instead of two eggs over medium with bacon, potatoes, and white toast I veered into new territory. The lunch menu. Cheeseburger with bacon it was and wow was it good. I have eaten a cheeseburger at just about every restaurant in St. Augustine and this one exceeds them all. Whatever they are doing is working. The food, according to my husband, was fine. The first item I wanted to order had an ingredient I was allergic to, even though the waitress said they would accommodate me by making it off the grill and on a pan. The second item I wanted to order was refused because I was informed that the cook didn't want to take the time to accommodate my allergies (even though he said he would before lol). The food was & service were excellent. Usually when I'm at the beach and go for an after sunrise breakfast, I find myself going to the oasis just because it's closer. However, for some reason, it was not open until later in the morning, so I checked out Anastasia diner and was pleasantly surprised. I had the western omelette which was cooked perfect. Other members in my party had general breakfast items, bacon, eggs, grits, and waffles. Everything was fresh and on point and our server was very nice. Such friendly service. Everyone in the place had a friendly greeting for us. Food was delicious and well prepared. Waitress even asked me if I wanted my bacon crispy or regular cooked. I went to Sheila's Cafe (also known as Anastasia Kitchen) this afternoon with my boyfriend, and we had such a great experience! He got the biscuits and gravy, and I ordered the Belgian waffle special. Both were so good, and we were impressed with how affordable everything was. The ambiance is adorable -- lighthouse-themed all the way down to the plates, and the whole place was spotless. The service was super friendly, and everything came out so quickly, which was a nice surprise. We will definitely be back for more delicious breakfast! read more

We got the worst breakfast the other morning at this diner! Ordered Eggs Benedict & got something smothered in gravy! Sausage patties were still partially raw! It was take out, when we complained we were offered a free cup of coffee!! read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside and no big sign, but don't be fooled. What is striking here are smiles - as soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with a friendly smile from a waitress at the other end of the room (Carina). Our waitress, Cheryl, also wore a nice smile and was friendly. I guess smiles are contagious here. The place had a cool look inside and the food was good. Highly recommended. read more

Ok it's been too long and I've sanctioned this little diner as my "go to breakfast spot" in St Augustine. Love this place and the food is terrific. The staff is always friendly and the service is always great. They make their own homemade sausage which is a must try for sure. I'm a grits fan and theirs are always cooked perfectly. My wife loves their pancakes and claims them to be the best in St Auggie. Sunday morning often entails a short wait but the juice is always worth the squeeze IMO. Great Experience! Our yummy breakfast came fast , hot and delicious. The chef in the kitchen obviously knows their craft! Our server, Kara, did an excellent job providing hot coffee throughout our meal. The building is nothing to look at outside but the inside has been transformed into a quaint establishment, comfortable and clean! I recommend having the salmon sausage for something really unique. Ordered a simple breakfast 2 scrambled eggs, rye toast and well done hash browns. Husband ordered an omelette, rye toast and hash browns. His order was ok. Mine right off the hash browns were soggy so I sent them back. By the time my husband finished his food I still didn't have my hash browns and the rest was cold. Maddie the server was rude and told me that the food was cold because I waited for the hash browns. They never offered more coffee and just seemed like they didn't want to be bothered. In the end my husband ate but was not impressed. I ended up frustrated and hungry and will never eat anything again there. Not like I got to eat anything anyway. read more
