Fun restaurant! Very family friendly. The staff are helpful and professional. The food is delicious! Expect to wait. It's very popular and there is very little parking. My only complaint is the bathrooms need a lot of attention. Quite and unpleasant experience. Overall id recommend it and we will definitely return if we are in town! read more

This place is definitely more pedestrian/bicycle friendly-- parking is a nightmare, and only further complicated by the employee who was outside "helping" guide cars in and out of the lot. Parties over six (we were 8) have to sit outside, but the deck had ceiling fans and was well shaded so pretty comfortable even in 95° heat. The service staff was much more friendly than the parking attendant, and food was all very good. I wouldn't recommend this if you're driving around looking for a place to eat-- but it seems like an awesome spot to walk to lunch on a beach day! read more

Truly beach front dining. Cocktails are good. Oysters croix and gator tail were tasty. Gator tail could've used a spicier sauce but overall it was yummy. Location! Location! Location!! They aren't lying when they say they are on the beach! There is a ton of outside seating, inside there is bar and hightop table seating. Fun decor and great happy buzz to the place. The staff is ON POINT. Our little gal server was new and I gotta say she did a great job. Very attentive. The gator tail was absolutely perfectly cooked and the portion size was pretty substantial. I'm not a Manhattan style chowder person but wanted to try their take on it and it was really good. I wasn't disappointed. Their shrimp were LAEGE, I had a half pound and again they did a great job cooking them. The gyro... good lord folks! Was huge! The beef and lamb were super tender and had really good flavor. The fries! Crispy and cooked right!! These are some of my favorite kind, I call them 'tavern fries' because they have that slight batter. Ugh. So good. The margarita.... guys.... I could drink this all day. Outstanding flavor. Came here for a friends birthday for dinner. Sat outside on the cute patio with nice lights for some ambiance. They also have a few tables out in the sand but no lights seem to be near them. It's nice out there at night, I could imagine how gorgeous it must be during a day. Great for a nice meal on the beach. It took a quite a while for us to be acknowledged at the table and to finally get at least a drink. Aside from that our server was friendly and checked on us regularly. The food was pretty great! We got the gator bites which came with a fantastic orange marmalade. I didn't think they would go together well but O-M-G they're SO good with the sauce. Loved every bite! I ordered the duo platter (fresh catch fish and fried shrimp, two sides and hush puppies), hubby got the fried shrimp platter, and my friend had the shrimp skewers. All of the food was great and a good portion, especially the platters. Shrimp were jumbo and had great seasoning. Fish was good and juicy but I was never told what the fresh catch was. I had a side of the rice and beans, but wasn't as impressed with them as others seemed to be.. both the rice and beans seemed old and were very dry. Flavor was ok but couldn't get past the texture of it all. Both of our hush puppies for the platters were undercooked and doughy but we were able to get some replacements to go. An okay experience. Walked over beachside on a very breezy December weekday for lunch. Ate inside in the bar area. Ordered shrimp pita and the blackened Mahi sandwich, both of which were specials. They were fresh and delicious. The fries were standard but well cooked and the dill cucumber potato salad was a hit. Finished with a slice of authentic key lime pie, just like you get in Key West. We came in for lunch and I will give 5 stars for our server Jennifer because she is truly deserving of it. What a wonderful personality and she is very enthusiastic about the menu and chef. I ordered a Goombay Smash and it was one of the best I've ever had so of course I needed another!!! Beers were ice cold (in the bottle). We started with conch fritters and although they were super tasty and I liked the sauce there really wasn't a lot of conch in it. But it did have a great flavor. For lunch we ordered the hogfish sandwich special and at Jennifer's recommendation we got the beans and rice as the side. The beans and rice stole the show here! Awesome flavor! Excellent lunch place next to beach! The fish sandwich was fantastic. The calamari appetizer was the largest portion we have ever seen. Heavily breaded calamari with Parmesan, but very tasty. Fish and chips was also a good sized portion with large pieces of fish. The fish tacos were the least exciting of what we ordered - fish was fresh and grilled well but served on flour taco with cabbage and crema, it was a bit bland. Could have used salsa or something else with more flavoring. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with this place and recommend highly! read more

Oh my. The coconut shrimp was a winner. Add the mango tropical drink (I cant remember the name!) and you have a really, really good combination. This is probably the best coconut shrimp I have ever had. We also got Lobster Rangoons for the table, they were a little light on lobster, but still really tasty. Our waitress was wonderful, very responsive and friendly. It was super hot out but everyone was having fun! We were sat in the corner in the back so we had a bit of shade. Definitely one of those places you want to come and sit and sip on tropical drinks. I hope to get back there soon! read more

Was looking forward to this place after reading the great reviews and seeing that it was right on the beach. I got the catch of the day with fries and hubs got fried shrimp with hush puppies and coleslaw. We were very disappointed in our food. Both of the batters for the items were very bland. I mean NO FLAVOR at all. Not even some salt on the fish. If it wasn't for the 4 different sauces I asked for them I wouldn't have been able to even finish what I did. Hubs said the hush puppies were the worst he's ever tasted before. I felt like we shouldn't have even had to pay for the food but didn't want to be one of those people so we paid and left and we will definitely not be making a planned trip here. Even if we were at the beach and needed to grab something to eat real quick, there are other restaurants in walking distance and taco shop is right around the corner which is good. Please put some salt and pepper in your batter. At least just salt. Some garlic powder wouldn't hurt either. read more

Our second time here and it did not disappoint sandwiches were delicious (Reuben, po boy, and chicken wrap, all served with a big pile of yummy French fries. New wooden booths on veranda very comfy with views of sand and wildflowers. Adorable and friendly waitress made it even nicer. read more

AMAZING dinner spot!! My husband and I drove over here for dinner and we did have to wait but that was perfectly fine!! The restaurant is on the beach so we were able to walk right over to the water with our dog and chill and take some pictures during our wait! Once we got called to our table, we ordered a couple drinks (which were delicious) and it was a great time! Dylan was our waiter and he was the sweetest and just the overall best! Cute, cozy covered patio right on the beach with picnic tables. My server was friendly and took great care of me. I had my dog with me and they were happy to have him sit with me. This is such a great, fun stop in St. Augustine, steps from the beach. The Brie Burger is the best burger I've had in ages. I chose their special dill potato salad. It was just o.k., probably will get coleslaw next time. Two family members had the Tampa Cuban, and both commented that it was done perfectly. Came here on Memorial Day weekend... it was a bit crazy. Seemed there was only one true bartender and a cook. There were others around, but couldn't tell what they were actually doing. The place was slammed and people were complaining but the bartender and kitchen staff just kept on serving. The service was great at this place. It was chilly that night but they sat us quick and next to one of the space heaters. The best part of the meal was the chicken Caesar salad. My mother in law ordered dolphin fingers which she was super disappointed about. They gave her like two large pieces and then very small little runts. It almost seemed like what was left at the bottom of the bag. It was also super greasy. There wasn't a whole lot of meat on them and did not taste fresh. The seafood platter was good. We waited 1.5 hours when we were quoted 40 minutes to wait. We eventually left without getting sat. The staff was standing around & the hostess had a horrible attitude. Mind you this was with a 7 month pregnant woman and a toddler. The restaurant had plenty of open tables but we're not seating people at them.
