It's amazing how a business can manage to grow while being this consistently awful. I guess it's because of Audi owners who feel imprisoned by our Audi warranties to use the dealer. Our eTron has been full of problems, all of them handled poorly by Rusnak. These are the guarantees you can enjoy at Ruskank Audi: (1) even just identifying the problem with your vehicle will take 2-4 business days; (2) fixing any problem with your vehicle will take 4-5 business days; (3) a loaner car will never be available, no matter how long your vehicle is held hostage there; (4) your "Service Advisor" will mostly ignore your efforts at getting information on the status of your vehicle, and will do nothing to expedite a mechanic actually looking at it, even if you've brought it in on a tow truck fully broken down for no known reason; (5) no matter what part you need--whether a windshield wiper blade or a battery-- Rusnak Audi will not have it in stock; (6) Rusnak Audi will "drive" you home in the skankiest, dirtiest Uber's in LA County (is there some kind of "Uber Cheap" category for car dealers to save money???--honestly, I have never had rides in Uber like the ones I get from Rusnak); (6) you will never receive an explanation, let alone an apology, for why your car failed to work properly in the first place, nor why it took so incredibly long to fix it. We had one breakdown near Walter's Audi last year and had such an amazing experience. Our most recent issue involved not being able to charge, and with only 5 miles of range remaining, we limped to Rusnak--and in case it's not clear, we regret it! All other SoCal Audi service centers are better than this one. read more

I'd like to take the time to thank the Audi Pasadena team (George, Joe, Fausto, Negin, Geoff) for the smooth process in purchasing my new Audi A4. They have a deep knowledge and understanding of the vehicles on their lot and the offerings/packages that come with them. They understand the customer service that comes with car sales and I was truly comfortable going through the process of purchasing for the first time at a dealership. George assisted me with picking out the vehicle that was right for me and sitting through the test drive while explaining the vehicle in detail. Called to ask why my first service for my 2022 Audi Etron was as going to be $313 to "check fluids". The gentleman told me that if I cared for my car I would do it. I told him I just wanted the light removed because the pricing was too high. He said if I couldn't "afford it" then I could go somewhere else. He didn't ask any questions and was very rude. He didn't offer any solutions and didn't address my issues. This is the 4th time I receive poor customer service at this location. They are extremely judgmental and seem to not be interested in anything I am saying. I bet if I showed up in my suit they would treat me differently. read more

TLDR - If you want service, take your Audi somewhere else! My last review was in 2014 when they gave my A8 back to me without fluids. This time I had my wife's eTron, which we leased from Audi Pasadena, for a repeat repair at their service department. I figured 8 years later that thing may have improved, but as we found out today the service is still just as bad. The specific issues: 1 - Repairs Not Done Correctly - The issue with the sunroof is now worse than before, which was supposedly repaired just a couple of weeks prior. The repair was clearly not done correctly. 2 - Appointments Worthless - When you have an appointment, don't expect your car to be diagnosed on the day you drop it off or even the next day. This has happened multiple times where the car has been dropped off in the morning on a Monday or Tuesday and is not even looked at until Wed or Thursday to be diagnosed. Not sure what the point of an appointment is. 3 - Staff Uncommunicative - every time we were told we would get updates by the end of the day, however, this rarely happened. If we wanted a status update we had to call them. 4 - No loaners/rentals - per their staff the policy is even if your vehicle is in for covered warranty work, multiple times for the same issue, no rental or loaner is provided. 5 - Cars delivered back dirty - in multiple visits our car was not washed or vacuumed after service, delivering it back with handprints and dirt from the techs working on it. So, after having our car not looked at again for two days after dropping it off, and no status updates on it, I called and spoke to a person this morning, telling them I would be in at 10:30 AM so I could take it elsewhere to have it repaired. We had a tight schedule today, and of course, it was not ready when we arrived, not sure why I expected it would be. read more

I took my Audi A7 to Audi Pasadena for a repair in January of 2022. I noted the problem was a "grinding" sound coming from the front brake(s). At that time the service person shared with me that it was a problem with the brakes, and, with my consent, they would repair the problem. At that time I trusted Audi Pasadena, consented to the repair, and my brake pads and rotors were replaced in January 2022. Shortly thereafter, the problem persisted. I then took my car back to Audi Pasadena, and told them that the problem was not fixed. They apparently took a look at the car, and told me: "There is no grinding noise coming from the front of the car." And I was also told, "If there is a grinding noise, that's normal for Audis, and there's nothing wrong with it, and nothing we can do about it." The same day I went for a drive with the Service Manager. He shared with me that he heard the noise I was referring to. He suggested that it was not normal, and that he'd like to do further diagnosis, which I declined. They didn't get it right the first two times, I was not interested in a third misdiagnosis or assessment. In short. the Audi Pasadena service shop unnecessarily, and I believe knowingly, changed the brakes, and I was told that the brake replacement would solve the problem. Clearly it did not. To note: I brought the car in during the fall of 2021 for a routine service, at which point I was told that "the brakes are in good shape". Clearly the car did not need new brakes. I think Audi Pasadena does a poor job of assessing and determining repair needs. And as a result, suggests repairs that are not needed. It's worth noting that Audi Pasadena refused to refund the uncessasary brake repair that they performed on my vehicle. Finally, I find Audi Pasadena to lack integrity, honestly, ethics and the ability to "do the right thing" when it comes to correcting an error that they made. I'd strongly advise not to take your vehicle to Audi Pasadena if trust, honesty, and integrity matter to you when you repair your vehicle. read more

UPDATE: I wrote a positive review for Larry Gootkin 3 years ago when he helped us process an out of state lease on an Audi A4. Here we are 3 years later and Larry once again has helped us get a new Audi A5 and Audi S5! Nothing has changed from our experience 3 years ago, and Larry is still the best salesperson to work with. He goes above and beyond for his clients, often even working on days when he's off. The process for the A5 was flawless and I couldn't have asked for a smoother process. For the S5, we had a few hiccups along the way (none of which were Larry's or Audi Rusnak's fault, but rather an external transport partner). Larry worked with me to get the issues resolved with them. He completely supported the issues I was facing and helped put the dealership's influence onto the transport company to get the issue resolved quicker than they would have if he didn't help. I fully trust Larry's ability to make sure our transactions go smoothly and to always be available to give us updates on the whole process and ease our minds. Just bought this beautiful A5. Had a mix experience but overall decided to rate this a 5 star due to David. When we went to Audi, we weren't sure if we would be ready to buy. Nevertheless, I went with a male friend for guidance. The first sales rep who helped us seemed to ignore me and only talked to my friend. I don't know if it's because I am female or because I wasn't dressed super flashy. Once we clarified that it was I who would be purchasing the car and not my male friend, he started to show more interest in actually talking to me. However, when he discovered we may not buy today, he came up with some excuse of being cold, said he would get a jacket, and never came back. After 15 minutes of waiting around we decided we were going to leave and go to another Audi dealer. Fortunately David (another sales rep) caught us on the way out and I can say that it is because of HIM that I actually bought this car. He never made assumptions. Even though he knew I wasn't sure if I would buy today or not, he was still very helpful. Not only was David professional, he was genuinely invested in trying to find us the RIGHT car. He also helped us negotiate a great price and although we were not 100% ready to buy, we trusted David 100% and made the purchase. The nexts steps were the longest and at times uncomfortable. We were approached to buy the extended warranty and though I hope the intent was well, I felt very pressured and hustled to buy additional things. at times I felt a lot of aggression from the lady who was trying to sell us the warranty. At the end of the long discussion I did end up going with the term insurance and maintenance package but felt this experience could have been more cordial. I dropped my car off at 8:45 AM the Friday of Labor day weekend for a routine 40k service and was told it would be ready that same day between 3-5 PM. Come 5 PM and I had not received a call or text from my assigned tech. I called and texted him with no answer. I then emailed the service manager, Ramzi Kakish at rkakish@rusnakautogroup.com later that evening to give them a chance to rectify this and figuring he might get involved and if nothing else to avoid this exact review from happening. I let him know my frustration by the complete lack of communication and my car being there over night. My email never bounced back from him so I know it went through and it's been 3 weeks and he never cared or bothered to respond to me. Thanks, Ramzi. Then comes Saturday morning, I call first thing and ask what's going on. I was told my tech had some emergency family situation and someone else was supposed to reach out to me but that never happened. To make matters worse, the car was never even started to get worked on Friday, so it sat there all day without getting looked at. I have two babies and it was a holiday weekend so I needed the car with their carseats in it! At that point, I told them I was just going to come and pick it up. This was a complete waste of time and effort. It turned out being a good thing, because I took it to European Auto Hause also in Pasadena and they were not only less expensive than Rusnak but also got it done in a few hours as expected. Why do you still have to pay for service and repair when you bought a full service package on a 10,000 mile service??? The full service package has been my priority when I lease or purchase a vehicle for the past 25 years. In another word, I have not paid any service charge for the past 25 years. I have 4 Audi vehicles purchased from a dealership in LA, alway took them back there for service. Everything is align with my expectation, no service charge, no hassle, no surprise call from adviser. When I make my first service appointment with Rusnak Pasadena Audi because it's a shorter drive for me to drop off the vehicle. After 2 weeks wait to schedule that appointment. (It's harder to get an appointment here than my cardiologist). I got my first service charge in 25 years. I am a mellow driver. It might be necessary to change break rotor if you are a rough driver at about 20000 miles. I get that. For a vehicle with 12,000 miles needs a break rotor is unheard of. The advisor even put the blame on Audi's flaw design with certain models. The service package actually just expired on the other vehicle. Which I purchase extension before the service, I don't have to pay the service but the advisor only realize that after the service was done. Great. The service for 2 cars cost $1500. $3000 to purchase an extension service contract. Took the vehicle to another dealership just the other day. Same experience I had and expected for 25 years was delivered. The sales department at Rusnak Audi is good. But there is definitely room for improvement for Rusnak Audi's service department. read more

As several reviews here have stated, service dept lies and tells you what you want to hear. I bought a new 80K+ car and it has not worked properly for 6 months. I have been there several times and nothing has been done. I keep getting told "Someone will give you a call" and it has been a month since they finally diagnosed the problem and I cannot get anyone to call me back. Getting through to them is close to impossible, you get put on hold for long periods. I tried the chat, but they are useless - why even have the dumb chat if 1) my car is not on the dropdown menu, 2) I only get the old copy-pasta "I am sorry you are going through this, a manager will get back to you" It has been a month and nothing. It seemed great when buying the car, but getting anything done under warranty has been a pain. Audi of America, this reflects badly on the perception of your brand. read more

My grandmother bought a CPO Audi this afternoon and the experience could not have been better. After totaling her leased A3, my grandmother decided to buy a CPO instead but wanted the exact same car. She needed an A3 with very specific features and Rusnak was one of the only dealers that had what she was looking for. Anthony Robles was extremely helpful during this process and I feel very good about the deal we negotiated. My grandmother lives in Brentwood and does not drive freeways so we were unsure how we would get her car to her house. Unfortunately I have to change my review. Some apparent change happened in the service department between my last visit and now. I made an online appointment roughly a month ago for service on my car. I receive an email confirmation, everything is fine. This morning I go in and the service technician cannot find my appointment. I show him the email confirming it and he still can find nothing. First thing that tells me is that I should never use the online appointment booker because it's not reliable. Either way he tells me they don't have enough time to complete my service today since it's a major service and that they don't do loaner cars on Saturdays anymore. Ummm, what? I've been coming here for the better part of four years and I've always been able to get a loaner. Furthermore, I drive from West Covina specifically because I do not like the dealership here. I work full-time and don't have the luxury to drive all the way out to Pasadena during the week day just to ensure I have a loaner available for me. If you don't have enough loaners to service people on a Saturday that tells me you're a busy dealership and you need to get more loaner cars, not stop offering them on the weekend. Whoever decided that is the solution is inept in the art of customer service. I've never understood why dealerships don't continue a strong relationship post purchase. Instead of looking at it as an upsell opportunity, they look at it as the end, not the beginning. They further this by providing you loaners that are not comparable to what you're bringing in and that also have little to no technology in them. Nearly every time I've come in, I've been given a A3 or Q3, the Honda Civic of Audi's. I can't imagine what someone with an R8 is getting. If you ever want me to buy another car from you you need to provide good service during my maintenances. Since Rusnak Audi has proved to me twice that they can't do that, I'm taking my business to McKenna Audi. read more

Review of the service department: Great customer service! I have a 2006 Audi A3 that I bought about a year ago for super cheap as a donated vehicle at auction. I love this car. It's the 3.2 Quattro version and it's a blast to drive. Best 3 grand I've spent on a car ever. But this isn't a review of the car. I received a recall notice in the mail for the driver's side airbag earlier this year. I called Rusnak and they ordered the replacement airbag for me. They notified me that it would be a few months until they would receive the part and that they would call me to schedule an appointment when the replacement airbag arrived. Last week I got the call and scheduled an appointment for this week. They offered to have an Uber or Lyft take me home if I didn't want to wait at the dealership for the repair to be done. The service Manager said it would be about 2 hours to complete the job. I decided to wait at the dealership. The lounge is comfortable. They offer you great danish or muffins and an assortment of drinks. And free wifi. The car was ready in just under 2 hours which included being washed and vacuumed. I'm very particular with the work done on my vehicles as I usually do the work myself. The staff is very professional, friendly and well trained. I usually advise to go to an independent mechanic if your car is out of warranty because of cost. But if you're looking for an Audi dealership, this is a great one to choose. read more
