There was a point in time where I believed that Joe Demerjian was a huge benefit to the local communities, sadly this opinion has changed over the last few months. Here is what happened, I contacted him in November about doing the wheel bearing on my Toyota Avalon as it was making a ton of horrible noise he suggested doing both front ones at the same time I was in agreement with this. I asked him if I brought in the bearings that I wanted to use he was fine with this. The day of the project I dropped off the car and everything and went about my day. I got a call from him mid to late morning telling me that I needed a "NEW CV Axel shaft because mine broke" CV Axel shafts do not "MAGICALLY" break on their own. He told me that it did and I needed to replace it or the car would not be able to be reassembled. _____________________________________________________________ Couple months after I took my car to get the tires rotated at a place near my home, and the shop brought to my attention that my front lug nuts were fully destroyed. Whom ever took the front wheels off last time they just allowed the nuts to hit the ground which caused a lot of external physical damage to them. As a result of all of this I would NOT trust Joe Demerjian with anything again. read more

Dishonest mechanic. Very inexperienced. Went there for an oil leak came home with a bigger leak after spending $800. Went back instead of fixing issue they make up a different issue so they won't take blame and charge you for something else. Had my breaks changed one month prior. They messed up my ABS censor. Brought my vehicle to Demerjian because my usual mechanic retired who did all my work on my Honda Accords. I brought it in for a window motor repair which was not only done remarkably fast but very reasonably priced as well. The next trip to him was for a check engine light in regards to my Vtec module but in reality car was just low on oil and triggered that CEL. Those who know Hondas know the Vtecs love them some oil if you're heavy footed and the Vtec is consistently kicking on. All in all it was a good experience and will be return my vehicle for any future needs. read more

This place is terrible. The labor is a rip off $130 a hour. He takes way to long to fix something that shouldn't take multiple hours. He didn't fix my sisters A/C right the first time and she had to take it back to find out it was just a leak charged her $300 the first time then the second time he charged $420 and he shouldn't have even charged her again for labor or anything else except the hose because that is his fault for missing the leak. He also will just start repairing your car without even asking you after he diagnosed it. How do you even know if your customers have the money to repair it? You should learn to call them and not have a attitude when explaining the problem and are being asked questions about it. Also a shoe should only cost $65 and take a hour to change so how did you rack up $420 should of only been close to $200. I have no idea how this place has good reviews read more

Joe is THE man. My mom never takes her car anywhere other than the (Toyota) dealer. We get her $150 maintenance whatever, and the guy comes back to me saying they want to do $3000 worth of work. I'm like...naaaaah, let met think about it. I take the Camry to Joe's, and he asks me a few questions about whether the car's doing this or that. He says, you don't need this or that, but let me take a look at this and this.... Bottom line, a few hundred $$ later, he's taken care of 2 things estimated by 'yota at $2000 and told me 2 other things absolutely don't need to be done. DUDE! I'll say it again... Trying to figure out how to manage the cost of repairs to pass a smog was an unbelievably stressful nightmare that dragged on for months, until I talked to Joe at the recommendation of a friend, and he helped me apply for the CAP program. Once the application was approved, they set to work on the repairs. Joe and Robert were fantastic, and explained every detail about what they would repair and what was going on with the car. They were persistent and finally got it sorted out, and I was able to resolve the situation paying far, far, far less than I was told I'd need to pay at my usual car repair place (where I am definitely no longer a customer). Every step of the way, I felt that these guys were honest with me, were up-front about what the problems were and what would need to be done, and they treated me with respect and care throughout the entire process. Joe was a friendly guy, but his techs damaged my car (disabling it) and he billed me to fix it... and it was very poorly fixed. The work I'd originally brought the car in for was also not done well, I found critical harness wires left dangerously exposed, which could have caused my car to die on the freeway. Damaged and sloppily replaced trim panels and a steering wheel installed at an angle rounded out the terrible package. Definitely wouldn't trust them with my car again. read more

There was a crazy sound which I thought was coming from my engine (5yr old car). I didn't want to go to Toyota because their prices are insane. A couple friends recommended Demerjian Auto, so I went in. They quickly found out was wrong and quoted me a great price. Luckily it was just my water pump, which could've eventually damaged my engine...Phew I felt comfortable the entire time and they had great service. Joe is very honest. I so appreciate that. He has been quick to look at problems and get my cars back to me as soon as possible. My husband recently took his 4 year old Corolla into him and Joe inquired at the Toyota dealership to if it was still under warranty. He told my husband to have it towed to the Toyota dealership and they promptly fixed the problem. Joe charged my husband nothing for his time.
