I've been taking my Infiniti G35 to this shop for years. For Infiniti and Nissan owners, I highly recommend this place. Wasu, who runs the shop, is very honest, straightforward and professional. He's never tried to upsell any repairs that really weren't required. On the contrary, I just took my vehicle in for an oil leak. He advised me what needed to be done. He then suggested I could buy the parts through Amazon and would save a lot more money than if he were to provide them. What?? Who does that?? I probably saved several hundred in parts cost. Wasu did the work and everything came out great. Can't say this is a regular thing. I know shops make money on selling parts. I just appreciated Wasu doing this with me. read more

Like a precious reviewer said, "the best Nissan person in Pasadena". I brought my 2012 Nissan Versa HB in for maintenance (with the part I bought), such as replacing the spark plugs and the serpentine belt. All I had to do was make an appointment. I dropped the car off at opening, and it was done by 12pm. Great service and competitive prices compared to the other mechanic shops around the area. It was a great experience that I came back to have him replace the lower control arms with the OEM parts that I purchased. I will definitely have my car maintenance done by Wasu in the future! read more

Wasu is the best when it comes to advice about any car issues. If something is needed, he'll let you know. If something might need attention in the future, he will tell you what the symptoms might be so you save a lot of money. He might as well be family because he sure is honest. read more

Great local shop. Wasu is great he is honest and his family has owed the shop for years. Took my car in to replace a few maintenance items and he took car of it made sure it was right. Not to many place that are Nissan and Infiniti shops. Glad I found it will be coming back for other items today. Give him a call I recommend his shop. I came from Alhambra and it was a good drive. read more

I can always count on the team to do amazing work and always have my car safe and on the road with no problems. Will always take my car here again and again read more

Wasu has been the mechanic of the family since around 2006, my son was the first to use his services when he bought his 2004 Nissan Sentra, Later on, my son gave the car to my younger daughter, and she gave it to her little sister some years ago. Even though the shop mainly works on Nissans, they do maintenance and some repairs on other brands. I trusted them with my Mercury Villager, which we retired after 23 years of being the family's car. They still keep the Sentra running and I trust them with my 2016 Honda HRV with the maintenance and some repairs. Wasu and his dad are very reliable mechanics, they are very knowledgeable in their field and are extremely friendly. On top of the good services, the prices are fair. read more

I came here because of the reviews that everyone has given this business. I desperately needed a place to take my 2004 G35 Coupe out of warranty because the dealership was going to charge an arm and leg. I made a quick phone call to make an appointment as my car needed to be towed to this location. The person that picked up the phone was "Wasu". He was extremely professional and answered all the questions that I had. He gave me a straightforward price and didn't try to upsell me on anything. The next morning, I towed my car there and Wasu greeted me. We went over everything that we needed to complete on the car (brakes, battery, oil change, and screeching during the cold mornings). With all that needed to be done, he said that they could have everything ready for me that day. Awesome! I also stated that I needed a smog check, he said he could do that too! It then became a one-stop shop! Such convenience. He did everything for me and didn't charge me to take care of the screeching problem. This business definitely gets a "5" star. Without a doubt, the quality in service is impeccable and they will continue to get my business. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. They also service other Japanese cars as too. I'm going to take my girlfriend's Honda here from now on. read more

Wasu is really friendly and transparent about what your car needs. When I take my Infiniti in to get serviced, the price is always more than fair, and he never tries to upsell me. I highly recommend this business to anyone who needs their car serviced well, and wants to make sure they're not getting taken advantage of. read more

I cannot say thank you enough. Dealer claimed that I had an oil, coolant, and power steering leak. Came to Autotech for a second opinion and found out all I needed to change was my water pump! Saved me hundreds of extra precious dineros that might have gone down the drain. Made an appointment and the car was ready an hour or two ahead of time. They even replaced my belts and air filter for free! Definitely will be coming back for future services. The owners are car guys and own some cool Nissans in the shop. I talked about installing a JDM Cima steering wheel on my car and they said they could help me with that in the future. Thanks so much guys! read more

Super knowledgeable staff. I have a Nissan Xterra and they've serviced my car for almost 5 years now. Been here for small and large issues, but they've always given me options and have been very fair on their end. Happy to support a family run business too! read more

Wazu is honest and a great mechanic. I highly recommend him. He is always helpful and will direct you in the right path

The only thing I can say is, Thank you. Excellent workmanship at a reasonable rate. I've been taking my Xterra here for the past 8 year. I e never been disappointed by them yet. Because of the excellent care that they've given my Xterra is why in my opinion that it's been running great great for the past eight. Put your trust in Autotech By Beck. read more

If you're looking for an alternative to the Nissan Dealer, especially for oil changes and basic maintenance, you should give this place a chance. They are very capable techs and have great workmanship. I've had so many dealerships over/under fill the oil, over tighten filters, and strip drain plugs, that I just decided not to go to dealerships anymore. read more

Great automotive service. Not only is the service great but they're honest. As a woman, I feel extremely comfortable bringing my car here and trusting what they do. I have moved further away, but I still take the long drive here! I don't trust my car with anyone else!! read more

I used to bring my baby here (G35 coupe) before I sold it. Beck has good prices, and is an honest mechanic. He has advised me in the past not to get certain services if they are not required. Very refreshing. To the guy who mentioned that Beck warning him the "work costing more than the car was worth" -- I actually think he was trying to help you out. I wouldn't want to spend $5K to fix a car worth $3K for example....I'd just go buy another $3K car, and pocket the difference. Minus one star for limited opening times. read more

Honest, honest, honest! Great customer service. We discovered this gem about 1.5 years ago. A couple of times we brought our car in for a concern and apparently it just need a little of "this and that" - they took care of it no charge! I work down the street and each time they would deliver the car back to me. Unfortunately we had bigger troubles too but they took care of it for a fair price. I highly recommend. read more

I brought my G37 to Autotech by Beck as the dealership told me I had a coolant leak and it would cost me $165. I wasn't sure so wanted to get a second opinion. I dropped in at Autotech by Beck on a Saturday morning and in a few minutes was told that I did not have a coolant leak. I am glad I brought my car in to get a second opinion. Thank you for inspecting and being an honest mechanic. I am glad I have a good and trustworthy place to bring my car to get serviced! Will be brining my car back here. read more

Hands-down most honest, trustworthy auto pros I've experienced in SoCal. Wonderful folks, I highly recommend!

Wasu and his crew has been taking care of our cars for 20+ years. They can diagnose anything that is wrong with our cars. Their explanations make sense. They give us a heads up on potential problems so we know what is up ahead. No headaches. Our cars run without any breakdowns! , read more

Wow, bring out the fake ass reviews!!!!!! Before I had my Acura Legend. I had an 87 Nissan Maxima. Yes, bring on more radiator/thermostat drama! I came to these guys for a diagnostic, and hopefully a simple repair. I left the car, came back in a few hours. The old Asian dude (Beck), I guess, looked at me like I was short. He rushed over, handed me the key, and babbled on and on that there was no way he could fix my car. Something about "work costing more than the car was worth". Okay, thanks, no need to cop an attitude. Give me my goddamn keys and you'll never see me again. They're not a very personable bunch. I think they may be very popular with the racing community. I noticed a lot of souped up hondas, etc... read more

If you drive a Nissan and live anywhere within a 30 min drive from Pasadena, take your car to Beck (He's Thai, but goes by Beck). Many, many moons ago, he worked for Wondries Nissan but then he started his own shop. Why should you use him? He's honest, does a great job, and has respect for his customers. The first time I tried him was when I had an exhaust manifold leak. The dealer told me it would be $700. That was a lot of money for a poor grad student. I took it to a bunch of other places, and the feeling I got was that they all saw my car as a cash machine. I took it to Beck who told me the following: 1. The root cause of the problem (Nissan decided to use different materials for the two sides of the manifold, thus ensuring thermal mismatch - stress - cracking - leak), 2. That he could fix it, but that the problem would reappear in a few years, 3. For about 1/2 the price, he could do a simple fix that would last almost as long and solve my problem. So he basically cost himself a few hundred bucks that day, but he secured my patronage forever. He's always been extremely good at explaining whatever was happening and he never, ever makes you feel like you've been slimed. His shop is very clean (which I think speaks volumes about the owner of a shop), and his customers are very loyal (every customer that comes in seems to have known him for a decade) If you've been going to him long enough, he'll also work on other makes (I bring my toyota to him also). Even though it takes longer than Jiffy Lube, I take both my cars there for all the small stuff. Gotta support those who do things right! Interesting piece of trivia - his brother owns Saladang (Thai restaurant a bit South of Old Town). I joke with Beck that his family must be the Thai mafia of Pasadena. read more

Having recently acquired a older Nissan Murino I need a mechanic. Checking Yelp I found Wasu at Auto Tech by Beck, this shop is the best! I have saved hundreds here in just two visits! My headlights seemed out of adjustment, I took it to a AAA headlamp shop and they wanted to charge $240.00 for the two lamps plus labor ( they wanted to remove the front bumper and grill over 3 hours labor @ $85/hour). At Auto Tech by Beck it only cost 245.00 parts, labor and tax. I saved over $250.00 on my 90K service. If you want to save lots of money and time take your Nissan/Infinitinto Wasu at Auto Tech by Beck. read more

I have to echo what Tom T. said... beck is Amazing. I started going there when I bought my old, old Nissan truck about 3 years ago from someone, and they had a license plate frame that advertised him. And I have never, ever been disappointed. Honest to a fault, helpful, and just a good guy. He recognizes his customers, and can quickly find problems. Twice I've gone in with a problem, and left, him having fixed it for free. Other repairs have all been effective and very, very reasonably priced - and have never had a problem with them. The only downside is that it can take a little bit - because he's busy because he does such good work. But, for my car repairs, when you get two out of three of "Good, Cheap and Fast" I'll take Good and Cheap... which is what Beck does. He's wonderful. read more

Even though they usually work Nissans and Infiniti's, I took my Honda there for an oil change awhile back and Wasu (Beck's nephew who took over) took care of it for me! I also asked them to clean my air filters and Wasu hooked it up (: The shop is clean and doesn't smell like death. The staff was proper and friendly. They got the job done in a timely manner. It's also very easy to schedule an appointment which works for me since I don't like to waste my time. Second time I took my car there is because it starts overheating everytime I turn on the AC and even though they didn't have the parts there, they were able to order it in and schedule me for another day to install it. Now my car is running smooth as silk! read more

I have been bring my cars here since 1990. Beck use to take good care of my cars always honest. Now his nephew Wasu is running the shop and has same values as his uncle Beck. I keep buying Nissan because I know I will be taken care of at auto by beck. Will always highly recommend. read more

A family friend told me about this place, and never in my life have I taken my car in, just to get it's 'check-up' (it was long overdue) only to have them hand me back my keys and say "nothing needs fixing". When I asked what I owed them for their time, they said "nothing, we didn't have to repair anything". Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I came back from the car repair place with NO BILL! They told me my tires still had a few thousand miles (ish) on them, though any other place would have said that I needed new ones. I was blown away. Will NEVER go to another auto repair place. I live in the OC, and still make the drive to Pasadena to go here when my car is due for a service. read more

So glad i found Autotech by Beck. They specialize in Infiniti and of course Nissan amd now I don't have to take my 100k mile plus car to the dealer. He saves me money and does a great job working on our Infiniti's. We have an FX35, JX35 and a G35 each with high miles, 2 over 130k and i feel confident bringing my cars here. Prices are very affordable compared to the dealer. read more

I've been looking for a good mechanic and came across the good reviews at Autotech. I called with a concern about my car and the owner right away knew what was wrong. I brought it in that day and he said the parts would be really expensive. I know he would do the service but suggested I get the parts aftermarket online instead of from the dealer. And he could either put it on or I could to save some money. He was honest and confirmed what all the reviews said about the shop. I will definitely come here again for all my future services. read more

It truly is wonderful to go to a mechanic who not only knows your vehicle make but is honest. We have been taking our Maxima and Murano there now for almost 5 years and have always had wonderful customer service from Wasu and originally from his Uncle (who used to work for Wondried Nissan) As long as we own Nissan's we will be coming to Beck's.
