When I came an older gentleman was here being serviced and had nothing but great things to say and him and all his friends come here. I had some minor issue with my car come to find out it was just a battery and normally there is a service charge (everywhere does this) just to look at the car and they didn't charge me. I contacted the business through Yelp, got a quote and booked an appointment. Got there and was told that I might need to replace my rotors as well and was quoted $75 for each. I was fine with it and then had the service done. I paid and left. When I got home, I looked over the bill and saw that it was higher than what was quoted through Yelp for the pads. I contacted the owner and he said that he gave me a verbal quote and then said he gave me better pads( which is not reflected on the invoice or told to me prior to the work was done) and then went back to he gave me a verbal quote for the difference in price. The verbal quote he told me he gave was not even the price he charged me. Overall the service was good and quick. The quoting and charging was my issue. I will take ownership that I didn't inspect the final invoice before paying but I still think that the business owner should have honored his original quote and if an upgraded part was used and was billed (according to the owner) then should be approved beforehand. read more

I had a pretty horrible experience at another shop where I was quoted some outrageous prices and given a long list of repairs that had to be completed before I got a clutch replacement. Recently I got a quote from Gabriel's Automotive on possibly getting new brakes. I called when they opened to see if they had availability that day, they said sure come on down. I will rent to go drop off my car and the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. An issue I almost 90% of the time find with automotive shops is that you go to drop off your car and you can never find anyone to help you, they're all working on cars and I usually feel ignored. Here a worker made eye contact with me and told me someone would help and two really friendly guys helped me out. My car was done in just a few hours and to top of off I thought I needed new brakes but they told me my brakes were okay! How's that for an honest shop?! Did the old bait and switch. Called Feb 12 at 9:12am and asked for the price for a synthetic oil change. Was quoted under $100. Then I asked for the A15 service and was quoted me $165. Was told to come in whenever. When my husband dropped off my car they jacked it up to $300. They said that they didn't hear me ask for the service when in fact the gentleman repeated my exact request. Take that for what it is EDIT to respond: There is no price posted. They did not tell me ANYTHING about the state of the coolant. They said in person to my husband that the coolant was $50 (without looking at my car). So operating the basis that the $165 was for an oil change??? (they said it was $90 something on the the phone), the additional math of the $50 doesn't add up to the number quoted in person. The numbers don't lie. Going to my hometown auto shop in OC instead. $145 for the same service. read more
