Art did an excellent job working on my G63 last week. I'm very particular about my car, and I would never trust just any shop with it. Art is one of the few people I trust to work on my beloved car. His workmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism are outstanding. It's hard to find a mechanic and body shop that genuinely cares about your vehicle as much as you do. I highly recommend Art and his shop to anyone looking for quality work and someone they can truly trust with their car. Thank you, Art, for taking such great care of my car. read more

Art and his Crew are worth their collective Weight in Gold. I reached out to several Transmission Specialists via Yelp when my 2009 Nissan Rogue began Performing Irregularly out of the Blue 2 days ago. Without any Signs whatsoever-- no Odd Sound or Smell, let alone any Warning Lights on the Dash-- I had to press my Accelerator all the way to the Floor just to get it to go 5-10mph in LA Rush Hour Traffic from Midtown to Van Nuys for an Appointment. It ran just fine getting onto the 101... which I absolutely should not have Gambled, but Gonzo is as Gonzo does. It ran just as Smoothly as Normal later in the Evening with Cooler Temperatures and Clear Roads, so I took it to Autozone immediately after my Appointment to get a Reading. It came up with CODE: P0840 "Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/ Switch "A" Circuit," which came as a complete Relief since I've dealt with Transmission Failures before. Art was the first (by several hours) of 4 Mechanics to Respond to my Yelp Inquiry with a far more Thorough Message than the others. Uniq is located in Glendale, so with Gas Prices being what they are during this Absurd War I had really hoped for anything Closer. But after several Yelp Messages and a Phone Call, Art was already proving to be the Most Professional Mechanic ahead of time. He was as Jovial as he was Informative with his Initial Diagnoses... and given that his Inspection would be Free on top of a completely Expected Estimate and just how clearly he made it that Uniq Motors would get the Job Done right no matter whether the Problem was Fluid, Electrical, or Mechanical, I coordinated with him to bring my Vehicle in that Afternoon. Uniq Motors is located within a 20 minute walk to the Glendale Galleria and Americana where I have AMC A-List, so I was quite pleased with being able to take in a Movie in the Ensuing Hours it would take his Transmission Specialist to Elucidate what was going on and how to fix it. The Kicker? Art had his new Intern, Edgar, drive me to the Theater. It meant so much for this Enthusiastic young man to express his Gratitude for being given Purpose at his new job by giving me an Air Conditioned ride to the Venue. That young man's Pride in working with Uniq spoke so many Volumes of what kind of Ship that Art runs. Several Hours later, I returned to Uniq where this "Home Away from Home" for his Mechanics was filled with the smell of Pizza they had just gotten. Art was somewhat Aghast at how many times he'd had to Flush the Transmission Fluid... 4-5 times, with Fluid so Black and Thick that it had most likely Never been Serviced in the 135K miles it had taken on before I purchased it from a Private Seller in January earlier this year. I made myself Comfortable on his Office Couch while waiting for them to Flush the Transmission completely Clean. They'd had to add enough New Fluid to necessitate going slightly over the original Estimate, which was absolutely Understandable. They also found that the Transmission Casing had a small Leak, so he included that on the Receipt Printout for Future Reference on keeping my Chariot Serviced. I could feel the Improvement in my Car's Performance immediately. I had Zero Doubts whatsoever that I would make it back home in Midtown without a Hitch... and now I'm experiencing a *severely* Improved MPG. Thank you so much Art and Uniq Crew, you are absolutely worth the Drive and Invoice! read more

Took my 2006 Toyota Prius with 400k mileage to Art for an oil change a few weeks ago. During that appointment, Art informed me that my transmission was leaking a lot and there were other issues. I was really worried that I would have to drop a lot of money on the repairs or would have to buy a new car. But Art found some great cost effective options, got me a really good used transmission, and took care of the necessary repairs. Art was in constant communication the whole time and gave me the best advice based on how old my car is and my driving needs. I'm so so grateful that I found this auto shop because he doesn't up sell and throughly explains everything. He even gives you the time to think about it before making the decision. When I picked up my car, it drove so smooth! I haven't had such a great driving experience in a while. Art also had my car washed and cleaned which was such a pleasant surprise! 10/10 experience, amazing guy, great work ethics, and very knowledgeable. He has a customer for life now! Best auto shop experience I have ever had! Thank you Art! read more

The shop was able to fit me in their schedule late notice, I really appreciate their patience in explaining what my car needed. They were upfront with the price and addressed all the codes my car was flagging. I made appointment late in the afternoon and they fixed everything wrong with my engine that same day. Saved me a lot of time. Yes it worth trying them out if you're looking for a new mechanics/shop! read more

Do not go to Uniq motors they are scammers. They did not diagnose my car. They left my car total mess. They charged me $600 for a Tow. Also they lied about diagnosing my car charging me additional $400. They were very disrespectful telling me that I have to pay them before I can get the keys to my car. They are a total fraud. Be Aware. Especially the owner, Artur Hakobyan he goes by ART read more

I had a great experience with Uniq Motors! Their communication was fast, professional, and responsive throughout the entire process. They provided an accurate quote upfront, completed the repairs within the promised timeframe, and took the time to walk me through the work that was done. My car drove great after the repairs, and I couldn't be happier with the service. I highly recommend Uniq Motors to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and professional automotive service! I needed a few services done. (Brake fluid, coolant fluid, and transmission fluid services done). I took time to message Arty here on Yelp and he was responsive and was one of the ones who messaged me back pretty rapidly. Considering the fact that our phone is our most important tool I'd imagine other perfect scored businesses would be on top of things. They were polite and receptive. Definitely will be back next time when I service my sisters car. read more

I brought my BMW XM to Uniq Motors with a transmission issue. BMW quoted me a fortune to fix it, but Art was able to diagnose and repair the problem very quickly and with excellent quality. The best part is that I paid only about 20% of what BMW quoted me! I'm extremely happy with the service, workmanship, and professionalism. I highly recommend Uniq Motors to anyone looking for honest, high-quality automotive service. 10/10 definitely recommend! read more

Uniq Motors - My BMW XM - Auto Repair Near Me - Glendale, California

Took my car in for a camshaft sensor replacement and Art was extremely and helpful and personable to ensure I was taken care of.

Art at Uniq Motors is a true expert. I brought in my 2017 BMW 330i for repairs, and he completely transformed the car. The engine runs perfectly, and the throttle response is better than it has been in a long time. It's rare to find a mechanic who treats your car with such precision and care, and he really took the time to make sure everything was dialed in just right. If you need someone who actually knows BMWs and delivers high-quality, honest work, this is the place to go. Highly recommend checking them out on Colorado St. it was worth my value at full cost. read more

I TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE!!! I drove over 40 minutes several times and I'd do it all over again! Art went ABOVE AND BEYOND with my car. I have a 2016 ford explorer, and most mechanics see an old car and money signs. Art took care of my car and explained everything to me, he fought with my warranty for me, and valued me as a person and not just a customer. I had lost hope in mechanics until I met Art. He knew I was in a difficult situation, and had me in tears as we worked through different solutions for my transmission replacement. I will never go to another mechanic again, you have a customer for life. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! read more

Uniq Motors (and Art specifically) were so good to work with - I recently had my catalytic converters stolen (so fun) and was angry to say the least. Art was so wonderful to do thorough research on my specific missing parts (cats, O2 sensors, pipes) for a 1999 Land Rover that is often turned away from shops for being too difficult to work on. Art put in the effort to fully research and find the correct, and most cost effective parts - before I even brought the car in. He's gained my trust and future business. His team did great work and I'm back on the road thanks to Art. read more

THE BEST SHOP IN GLENDALE. I WONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Really great auto shop and one of the few places I actually trust with my car. A lot of other shops I've been to seem to find extra things to charge you for or make you feel like you're getting scammed, but I've never gotten that feeling here. They're honest, straightforward, and actually care about helping you instead of just making money. Definitely recommend this place if you want a shop you can trust! read more

My grandson recently got back from a long cross-country road trip, but 12 hours before he left, he heard something clicking in his air conditioning, and it was already 8 pm. Artur was the only person who could help him, and boy did he! The car's problem was identified, fixed, and documented all within 3 hours! Luke (my grandson) couldn't believe his luck and how well the work was done, and for such a fair price! Artur is a life saver, and the only place my grandson will be going for car issues going forward. A godsend! read more

Took my car for a break line leak all other things were working when I came back to pick the car Art says that his brother took it for a test drive and the car came back smoking that it needed a part and the whole thing was $ 985 I asked what happened and then he said I brought it like that I brought the car with a full coolant reservoir tank and now the car can't hold coolant, i was obviously upset and told him just do the job the car is here and then he acted as if I had insulted him, he told me to check the reviews I told him that I've checked the reviews but more over most of the reviews were done with a different mechanic that I knew, he said that was his uncle, whatever I brought the car something happened under his supervision during a test drive they broke something else and then he washed his hands but I'm pretty sure it was the way they test drove the car his young brother in law. read more

My Scion TC 2006 AC started blowing hot air in the middle of a 100+ heat wave. I checked the basics myselff (relay, fuse) but with no luck. I sent out a few yelp messages and Art replayed instantly, willing to check my AC and actually talk through my concerns instead of instantly telling me to change my compressor like every other shop. They thoroughly checked my system and did eventually come to the conclusion that my 20 yr old compressor needed to be changed, but gave me a great price and was flexible with my schedule. As a woman, it's hard to find a mechanic who won't upcharge me, but Art and his team was amazing throughout the entire process and I will definitely be going back when I need a mechanic I can trust! read more

Came in today for a AC diagnosis, told the mechanic (Art) what the issue was, he got to work right away, offered me a beverage and made me felt at home as I waited inside, as he was running the diagnosis he found a little problem which wasn't bad, he found out I have a oil leak somewhere even showed me all the oil stains and runoffs from the oil, and he top off my washer fluid which was very nice of him but didn't need too, but overall kind soul, very polite, and very outgoing person I'd definitely recommend come to him for a issue you have and I myself will be coming back 10/10 service read more

10 stars for the service at Shant's Automotive. I literally will never take my vehicles anywhere else AGAIN. If you're on the fence about bringing your car here. DO IT. I took my BMW 530i to the BMW dealership in Glendale before Shant's and spent over a few thousand dollars and still wasn't 100% sure of the quality of work that I was getting. I always thought going to the dealership was my only option, but from now on I wish I would have gone to Shant's Automotive first. Art answered all my questions and went over everything with me the minute I called. He knew what he was talking about and his professionalism and honesty were undeniable. I felt completely comfortable with him from the start. There was no B.S., no pressuring, and no trying to upsell me on things I didn't need. Everything he told me to expect was textbook. I dropped my car off on Monday morning and even though they did miles of work on it, I had my car back by Friday afternoon. Its hard these days to find an actual trustworthy mechanic. Someone who you can trust with your babies. Someone who you finally stop searching for after YEARS of researching and trying other shops. I have found that person. The entire staff at Shant's Automotive was above and beyond anything I expected. Their work, communication, and attention to detail is unmatched. I will continue to bring all my vehicles to Shant's and will recommend Shant's Automotive to my family, friends, and anyone else that needs an honest and exceptionally skilled shop. They have a customer for life. read more

I have taken my truck to numerous shops but Shant's is by far the best. Art and his staff have done suspension work, custom wiring, light bar installations, side steps, electrical troubleshooting/rebuilds and the list goes on. They have taken care of any and everything I have thrown at them and when your dealing with vehicles it can be very challenging at times. No job is too big or too small for them and the quality of work is impeccable. What makes Art different from so many others is his attention to detail and how proud he takes himself on his work. He will go over your vehicle, fix minor things that could turn into problems down the road, lube your suspension, check brakes/safety related items, clean areas he worked on your vehicle and triple check everything was done right. You pretty much won't find that kind of mechanic these days that cares about your vehicle like it's his. Also he is very honest and straight forward with you. He takes the time to explain your repair, answer any questions you may have and recommend what he feels is needed without any pressure to upsale you. He will even do jobs that alot of shops won't even touch let alone explain to you what needs to be done. The automotive industry is tough to find people you can trust but from the service manager to the wrench, Shant's Automotive Center has excellent people that care about their craft and being honest. I trust them with my life literally and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I had such a great experience with Artur! After getting an astronomical quote from the dealership for some standard repairs, Artur came to the rescue, and even talked to the dealership on my behalf. As I have family members back east who are mechanics, they take these situations seriously, and reassured me that Artur was the right choice. From start to finish, Artur went above and beyond in his services, in ensuring I got the best value, and in his hospitality. As he also has a rental car service, and was able to get me seamlessly into a rental while the repairs were being performed. The whole experience was an unexpected luxury in what started as an otherwise highly stressful circumstance. You don't expect an oasis from an unassuming, mom and pop storefront in glendale. It's shops like this that make you feel a little securer and connected to your neighborhood. What a relief. He also takes Carmax's Repair Pal extended warranty program. Even if I didn't live in the neighborhood, I'd still v drive across town for this service and hospitality! read more

The customer service was great but the repair work was bad. Our insurance works with this repair shop we so chose them to get some warantee work done and were told that our brakes were 80% gone. Grant was soo patient and took multiple calls from us and explained everything thoroughly. He even held onto our car for a few more days while we had to come up with money to repair the brakes. We paid $1200 out of pocket for all 4 brakes and were told they were OG parts and that it would easily last us a few years. Great! 3 weeks after driving off we kept hearing squeaks and noises every time we use the brakes. We thought maybe since it's new, it will get better. It didn't. I called and he said no problem bring it in. He replaced them for us. 5 weeks later the squeaks were back. We waited out again, nope still there. We took it back again and he replaced them again. That was back in April. Mid May, we hear the squeaks again. At this point we are disappointed and tired of taking the car back since it was already difficult to find time to keep going back with a newborn and 3 bigger kids with fill schedules. Then last week we came across a different mechanical issue and decide to go to a different mechanic from our warantee and he tells us that the front two brakes are basically gone and very dangerous to drive off that way. We didn't want to drive around with the babies with worn down brakes so we tell them to repair it and we will just take the old part back to Grant to see if he can reimburse us for the part. We take it back and he says no because the part is removed from the car. We explain the situation and tell him we've been back 2 times so far already for the same issue and we had to change them out because it was dangerous. He didn't care. He still says no. He could've maybe checked the serial numbers or looked at the invoice we had and taken a look but he just flat out said no. We really really wanted to like this shop because he was so nice and accommodating. But this is an auto repair shop, not a hospitality based business so unfortunately for the work done, we definitely do not recommend and won't be back. read more

Had my rear brakes serviced today. Grant offered me a choice of cheap, Factory OEM or best (ceramic) pads for my 2018 Toyota Camry. We agreed on a cash price of $240, for the best (ceramic)- with him charging $ 100 for labor, as the part cost him $140. I specifically told him that I want the receipt for the ceramic brake pads- as he said he would have it delivered in 20 minutes. Imagine my surprise, when I come back to pick up the car and he prints up a receipt for me where the part costs $110 and his labor is $130. He tells me some long story about how he needed extra labor to calibrate the brakes !!! But at the same time cannot produce a receipt for my pads- except to show me an empty box. Feel like I was taken advantage of - and never coming back. read more

Shants is great! I must've passed by this place hundreds of times and never thought much of it except it was an odd location for an auto shop. Very tiny with no overflow parking. However when I used repairpal to price out the cost of a new radiator for my 2000 Toyota Avalon Shants was listed as the top auto place near me. Shants is a member of repairpal and will honor the estimates given. However, they did one better, they beat the repairpal price. Repairpal listed a price of $444 to $844 to replace my radiator. Grant, the owner of Shants, quoted me $430, so he beat the low end price of repairpal. The work was great. I've driven the car from Glendale to Venice without any overheating issue and without having to refill my coolant reservoir. Grant also suggested other repairs that I might need. All these suggestions were legitimate because I'd taken my car into a Toyota dealer the month before for a diagnostic and they suggested the same repairs. The difference is the Toyota dealer wanted to charge me thousands more! For example they said they would replace my radiator for about $2000. Grant did it for $430 saving me over $1500. (Of course Toyota would have used genuine Toyota parts, but I'm happy with the non brand name radiator Grant installed). So the price is right and Shants appears they can always fit you in. Also Grant the owner is a real nice guy. Yes, sometimes he's the only guy there and yes sometimes he will keep you waiting a little while he deals with something else, but so what? The service and price is worth waiting for. I'm almost afraid to promote Shants because I want it to be my secret. I don't want it to get so popular that I'd have a hard time getting my car in if I need repairs. But Grant and Shants deserves the praise. read more

Horrible customer service here. I arrived to this shop with my elder parents to get my car AC serviced and the owner or worker Grant told us to wait and went inside his office. We first waited for 25-30 minutes inside my hot car while he sat cool in his office and chatted on his phone without any care or respect to inform us of a delay. After waiting a while, I decided to talk to him in his office that we had waited long enough. He said wait 5 minutes. I said ok. We ended up waiting another 15 minutes in the hot car. At this point, I had lost my patience and I went to his office and told him we were leaving. His more important call was way more important than us or important that he couldn't even tell us to come back later? Horrible experience!!! read more
