I had such a great experience with Vic's Auto Clinic in Glendale. I originally went in to replace the engine splash shield and fender liners on my Prius, and they were by far the best shop I spoke with -- fair pricing, easy, friendly communication, and they handled getting all the parts without any hassle. While they had the car, they also replaced my front brakes, buffed out some scuffs on my front bumper, topped off my tires, and even reset my tire pressure sensor that had been stuck on for over a year. Those extra touches really meant a lot. And while I waited I was happy at the great coffee shop just down the street. Vic was super nice, professional, and clearly cares about doing good work. Swang by Vic's today when my car was making a bad vibration/shaking. Told him what I thought it was but wanted someone to confirm. He promptly had one of the techs take it for a test drive and then threw it on the lift to confirm his diagnosis and quoted me a super fair price to sort it out. You get what you pay for. They offer cheaper prices compared to others HOWEVER... they have the worst customer service AND they are even worse in diagnosing issues with you car. My car was repaired less than 6 months ago. Parts were in warranty for 6 months. I brought it in 3 weeks before it expired. I only put 800 miles on the car. Part broke despite the owner stating these "Chinese" parts he loves to use are better than Japanese oem parts.. hmmm... okay buddy. Anyway.. I allowed him to entertain me with that cheap part from China. That was a Big mistake to listen to Alan (owner) . Anyway.. I come in.. tell him the issue. He gives me the biggest attitude ever. He even startss mouthing off about how hes the only shop who would honor their warranty.. hahahaha yeah right buddy! I can name 3 shops in the neighborhood that I've taken my car to in the last 14 years that honor warranty from my own personal experience. He continues to give me a hard time. He looked Hella hung over too. Maybe he didnt get good sleep or partied too much the night b4.. in either case it's hella unprofessional to give customers attitude like that Alan! I will give him credit where it is due.. he tried twice on 2 different days.. he wasn't successful... he offered me to bring it back to try again if the issue persists.. but I ended up taking it elsewhere and they were able to figure it out in 1 day! However, I had to pay money to fix Alan's "repair" at another shop.. I did not bother going back to Alan's because he just gave me too hard of time, and im not gonna deal with that kind of treatment. He offers you help.. but he'll be a jerk about it the whole time. Make sense? Lessons: 1. Too much attitude. 2. Lies about how he's the most honest guy in the block. 3. Tells you how Chinese parts are superior to oem parts. Lol!! 3. Him and his team suck at diagnosing problems they create. * go to Campbell's opposite from them. After several garbage experiences at the Tesla dealer, most of which were attributed to ridiculous price gouging, I decided to look for an auto repair shop that had experience working with Teslas. So, after opening up an auto repair project on Yelp, Allen from Vic's contacted me and gave me a very reasonable price to replace the front and rear brake pads. They were also able to take my car maybe an hour after contact, which was a pleasant surprise. From the outside, Vic's is a very modest looking auto shop with not very many bays, all of which were filled. Allen, who is Vic's son, assured me that they woud have the car done before the end of business hours. I was a little skeptical at first, but after talking to him in person, I felt more confident. As other reviewers had stated, this business prides itself on honesty, competency and straightforwardness - all attributes you should be looking for in an auto shop. Allen called me and said my original brakes weren't in that bad shape and probably could go a little while more. But I decided to go ahead and change it anyway. After a couple hours, they were done. The installed brake pads also have a one-year warranty on them. Great work, Vic's! Definitely saved me a A LOT of money if I had gone to the Tesla dealer instead. read more

I called for an oil change. They don't keep it in house so they had to have a vendor bring it to them. He quoted me $70 for conventional oil and I actually needed synthetic. The good news is he comped the difference of Price and stuck by his quote. Here's the bad thing, I need to use the restroom and it was disgusting and there's no toilet paper. Instead of just putting more toilet paper in the first bathroom, They sent me to a second bathroom that was even more disgusting and had no toilet paper. Here is my story: I have a 2010 Toyota Prius .. The check engine light comes on, and I take it to my mechanic who diagnoses it as EGR failure. He has no idea about EGR, and so he clears the light and I go about my business. Naturally, a few weeks later, the light pops up again. I reached out to a few mechanics here on Yelp, and Vic's was the shop I chose. I work 4 days on, 3 days off so my son took the car in. Allen immediately got on it; was so knowledgeable about what we could do to resolve it and sure enough.. problem fixed. I know they worked hard to diagnose and took time to get everything in working order. Lots of effort here. All at a reasonable price. Stopped by this spot after having some squeaking issues with my brakes even after having the brake rotors/pads swapped out maybe 5 months ago. They were able to spot the issue quickly and quoted me a very reasonable price for replacing the front rotors and all the brake pads. The service was very quick, friendly, and above all....honest. Met and spoke with the owner, Allen, for a consultation regarding issues with the window washer fluid not spraying. It was very quick to receive a diagnosis and he called around to locate the part needed, but was unfortunately unable to find any due to the make and model of my car. He offered his suggestions and let me know that if I was able to find the part, he can install it for a fair price in comparison to other shops I've visited. He is extremely polite and knowledgeable. I asked if I could come in the next day for a diagnostic and repair. They told me to stop by in the morning. When I arrived, the owner, Vic, approached me and asked how he could help. I repeated exactly what I had messaged the day before. Without even inspecting the vehicle, he told me to go see an auto electrician. I asked why this wasn't mentioned when I called ahead, as I had clearly explained the issue then. I had taken time off work and driven a long distance, only to be turned away with no apology or effort to assist. I do not recommend this shop based on how dismissively I was treated. I ended up going to a different mechanic right after, who took a quick look and resolved the issue on the spot--it only required a simple cleaning and tightening of the headlight wiring.
