They are a legit business but there's always a downside to business, I brought in my old lexus the other day, I use this car on a daily so I needed an oil change and oil pan quick service, brought in the oem parts with me so I didn't have to wait for them to order it and be delivered, however this business does not take parts from customers even if it's oem; deny me the service.. there's always a catch and in this case I believe there's two factors in play one is that they can't guarantee the parts being installed and the second factor is the profit they make from buying the parts themselves. I'll educate you on this auto repair shops have a relationship with parts dept/delaerships, they get about an 60% off on parts because of the amount of parts they'll be ordering as a whole, and then course they charge you the part as the normal regular market price. Long story short they have to make a profit and keep all business going. Helping the customer with whatever needs they have is in the past, it just no longer works that way. So if you have parts and you need them install this is not the place for you, if you know nothing about cars and servicing this may be the place for you, little tip before showing up you have to make an appointment with the vehicle doctor. This place is the best!!! I wish we could bring our other car here as well but they don't work on those types of vehicles. I've been coming here for over a year now it's kind of weird that I'm a mechanic shop would make you feel at home, but they've managed to find a way to do that. To all the ladies who are tired of going to the dealership for your annual car service only to get ripped off with upselling you on unnecessary services, please consider this place. I was tired of LEXUS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN GLENDALE advising me on replacing this or its necessary for you to do this, etc the list went on. It was to the point where they would argue with me if I declined and even the girls checking you out literally scolding you for not adding on what was suggested. As if those women have any auto repair service experience. Good grief, is Lexus Glendale that desperate for money?? My Lexus is 5 almost 6 years old with less than 18k miles. Yes, I barely drive. However Lexus treated my car as if it was overly driven and I used my car off roading. Their advice, I needed new brake pads, air filters and other suggestions??? Funny, 30 minutes after I left Lexus, I received a text from them asking to buy my car. WTH? With all of that said, when I arrive at Lexitech they did make suggestions, however the difference, is this place will SHOW you your car's filter and advise on the percentage of the wear and tear of your brake pads. I was shown my A/C filter and when they opened up the filter, they were amazed at how under utilized it was and advised, it doesn't need replacing and my brake pads were only 20% worn down. It was suggested at 30% brake pads should be replaced. Now, keep in mind last year, Lexus told me it was very necessary that my brake pads needed to be replaced ASAP and all my filters were full of dust and debris. The service is quick and honest prices. Extremely friendly people! The owner Paul was also very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be treated like family and fairly. Excellent in every way! Thanks guys! Oil change and brake pad replacement this time with a nearly 22 year old vehicle with more than 200K miles on it. It was done with transparency and honestly. They don't allow you to use your own oil, which I was bummed about at first but found out they use a nice Japanese brand of full synthetic oil (Idemitsu). I've had more major work done with Lextech in the past and they've done work with care, communication and promptness. For what they do, the price is very right. Every oil change is done there since they check over the whole car to detect anything wrong so it can be corrected before it's a major problem. Lexus doesn't break often, but when it does, Lextech (Aldo, Milk, Paul and the others) tells me their recommended actions, the cost, and time required. An animal nested in the engine bay of my Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and ate through a part of the engine wire harness as a snack. The next morning, the engine light was on and the hybrid portion of the car was not operational. Local Toyota dealership wanted to charge me $1500 for a new wire harness (not including labor). Lextech replaced a part of the wiring harness and charged me for one hour of labor. The cost for the repair was AT LEAST 10X less than what the dealer would have charged me. Since I'm visiting from out of town, I reached out to my cousin to ask him where I should get my oil changed and brake pads replaced. Without hesitation he suggested Lextech. I called in, someone picked up, he gave me a rough ballpark of what it might cost, and I was able to bring in my car the same day. Many times, mechanics don't want to give prices and won't be able to "fit you in" until a week out so I was very appreciative of the transparency upfront. When I got there, it was clear they were very popular. However, they were still pretty efficient with greeting me, going over what they're going to do and check for and told me when they predict all the work will be done. 2 hours later, I got a call, picked up my car, paid almost exactly what they predicted it would cost, and then went on my merry way. Some perks of this place are the guys are super nice, they seem to know their customers well (a lot repeat customers, it seems), and they have a nice lounge area for you to wait in with refreshments, a TV, and free Wi-Fi if you choose to do so while your car is being serviced. My Toyota wouldn't start and AAA said they thought it was the fuel pump. I arranged to tow it here after contacting LexTech on Thanksgiving weekend. The car was towed and they determined it was the battery. They got it started and charged it for a while and tested it to be sure. And then they didn't charge me anything. This is less a review about a repair and more about the quality of the human beings who operate this business. As an evacuee displaced by the Altadena fire experiencing a sudden loss in battery power, I rolled into Lextech seeking help. Unfortunately my issues reared its head unknowingly when they're closed; the owner was locking up the gate as I arrived. When he asked what I needed and understood my situation, he turned off his running car, grabbed some diagnostic tools and went ahead to print out a diagnosis for AAA to eventually fix. It' been stressful times, but I am ever grateful for Lextech for helping me out when he could have simply told me to return the next day. Mt.
