Came in for an alignment and now still need an alignment. Not sure if it was performed correctly at all. Took about 20 minutes to be acknowledged. After finally checking in the tech took my vehicle on a test drive which is protocol but i heard this tech really downing the pedal. There's no need to drive fast for a test drive, happened before and after the "job". Will not be coming back at all but hope someone else has a better experience. read more

REPOSTING SINCE ARMEN HAD MY REVIEW REMOVED!! PRICE GOUGING!!!! Please be careful with this place. I reached out on yelp to get a price estimate for an oil change, spark plugs, brake fluid, and air filter replacement for my 2020 Mercedes and was quoted $800. They told me labor was about $180/hr and it would take him almost 2 hours ALONE to do my spark plugs. I thought that didn't sound right so I called the Mercedes dealership to get a quote from them. The dealership quoted me $279 for the SAME EXACT thing. Further, ARMEN is now stalking me on instagram and watching my storfor posting a review. I bring my 2021 Nissan Murano for recommended maintenance . Oil change and tire rotation. Armen is very professional and clearly explains what services are required for my vehicle. When he inspected my tires he brought to my attention a missing lug nut and informed me the tire shop I went to a few months ago tightened a lug nut too tight. Even when he is the only staff he is attentive to other customers. The service is quick and efficient and I was informed of services needed at my next oil change. You can't go wrong with VARA. We're from out of town and on the way here from NorCal I noticed my SUV judder when braking at freeway speeds, which more than likely are caused by warped rotors. Once we were settled at the hotel I started calling around for shops, and it was a Saturday so I knew it was gonna be hard to find one too. I found this place on Yelp, spoke to Armen and within the hour my car was at the shop to getting repairs on very short notice. Armen was more than helpful explaining to me the work that needed to be done and was very knowledgeable about it. They are very fair as far as parts and labor prices too. Man where do I start. I've been taking my car to the same mechanic for almost 15 years and I needed to get a fresh pair of eyes on it and was recommended to VARA. I was headed out of town for a week so I brought my car in and had a brief chat with Armen and told him what my concerns were. I left the car with him for a week and he happily accepted it and told me he would check it out. The one part that amazed me the most was the interaction and constant communication I had with Armen throughout the car getting inspected and repaired. He sent me a full invoice before getting started, which is transparent and appreciated. He listed, in order, the most important to least important of the fixes. I went ahead and got multiple things fixed for our first round. Once I arrived from my trip I went back to VARA and picked up my car. I can feel the difference from before. The car felt more grounded and had its old power back. I'll be going to VARA for my next round of repairs and anything else moving forward. Armen also power washed the engine and undercarriage of the car (in order to fully inspect and diagnose the location of a leak). He also gave me new windshield wipers, washed the car, and put air freshener in. This is the repair work and customer service I'm looking for. read more

Was stuck out in Sunland/Tujunga after an unfortunate runover of a bigger than it looked rock in the canyons and unable to hold air in one of my tires. All the tow trucks either canceled or could not accommodate how low to the ground my vehicle was. Decided to do a quick google search and found this place. I limped over to the shop, and we pulled off the wheel to see what the problem was. We saw right away it was bent bad enough that it was losing air so Damian was able to hammer it straight enough to hold air pressure and allow me to get home. Was helped right away and on a Saturday on a holiday afternoon in the heat. I can't speak to any of the other mechanical services, and I know it's always nerve wracking pulling into a new shop you don't know, but I got good, friendly help here after a pretty miserable morning. read more

He even drove 1.5 hours in traffic to get the part for me, made sure to check my tires and put them on the correct side of the car (front/back) and made sure to get the nicer of the two parts he could pick from. I got new tires on my car and thought perhaps I should get alignment even though my car drove straight. Bought an alignment deal on groupon (big mistake) and came here. They worked on my car for 2 hours. Over and over again they would take it out for a test drive and come back and ask if my car had been in accident? And also asked if it pulled either to the right or the left before I brought it in? Anyways they more or less gave up and told me there was something wrong with my car, and that I should bring it back to them for real inspection. And also that another person came in for alignment on a car with new tires and had the same problem...Huh?? I drove away and immediately noticed my cars steering was off! The steering had to be turned to the 10 o' clock position to go straight. It was not like this before! I immediately took to a reputable alignment shop in Glendale (Firestone). They were so surprised I had gotten alignment the day before! With laser alignment I got a print out of the before and after specs, I could see how poor Valley Alignment's work was.... After Firestone it drove perfectly straight, it was $93... The mechanic at Firestone said poor tools were used on the previous alignment job. Oh yeah and the owner isn't shy about professing his love for Trump! Have fun with that read more

I installed new coilovers on my MK7 GTI and went to Valley Auto Repair & Alignment for an alignment. Both the owner and his lead technician were very friendly. I requested an alignment with custom specifications, which many shops are unable or unwilling to do. Despite not being super familiar with my car and how to adjust it outside of the factory settings, Armen and his technician took the time to figure it out and they did an amazing job. I had a check-engine light on in my Jeep Wrangler for months and finally decided to get it dealt with. After getting the proper codes from AutoZone (re: what was wrong with my car via the computer system), I messaged a dozen auto repair places the information to source quotes. Not only did Armen at VARA provide me with the lowest quote, but he also said he could get me in the same day. I went the next day at the proper time, and left my car for a few hours. Armen and his guy already had the parts needed for me ready to go. When I went back to pick up my car, everything was working properly and I was able to finally go get a smog check (my internal thermometer was one of the two parts needing to be replaced). I got to chat with Armen for awhile and could tell he's a very honest, dependable, and very nice guy. I was cheated by the last place that I'd been going to for years, but I'm glad a found a great new places for future repairs.
