They scheduled an appointment for me fairly quickly and on appointment day, I had some other errands to run so I wanted to stop by early to drop off my car. They said it was no problem at all and I swung by, dropped off my car with the incredibly friendly Tony, and received a phone call about 90 minutes later informing me my car was ready. Everything was in great shape and I'm pleasantly surprised by how smooth this experience was! Highly recommend if you need great service and efficiency.

I called to see if I could bring my car in for the tire rotation once I reached the recommended mileage for doing so. Was on hold for about 15 minutes, and told I could not just show up, that I needed an appointment. Fine - made the appointment for 5 days later (first available appointment). Got there about 20 minutes early because I have seen how regular Costco shoppers park in the spaces dedicated for tire center customers. It was 104 degrees out and my appointment was at 2:30. Scored a tire center spot - someone pulling out as I arrived. Note that zero cars had the plastic numbers on top of them which would indicate they were there for tire services. Wandered aimlessly as the entrance that we went in when we bought the tires was no longer an entrance. Zero signage indicating where to enter. Finally shouted into one of the service bays to ask where to enter. Since we bought our tires they now have you go inside Costco vs the separate entrance near the food court. Got to the tire center and the signage indicated one line for those with appointments, and one line for others. However, only one person working so I stood in line behind 5-6 other people. It took 15 minutes to get to the front of the line - thankful I was early or I would've been 15 minutes late for the appointment. Got everything started for the tire rotation and mentioned that the tire pressure light had come on, and my husband had taken care of filling the tires but the light won't turn off. The guy pointed to a display of a tire pressure gauge and said they only last 5-6 years (my car is a 2015 model, so it's been 11 years with no issues) and they will check them for me. I said how long for the tire rotation and he said 1 hour. I should've left then - we had been going to a local tire shop for decades and the owners sold to a chain so we figured we would try Costco. Historically a tire rotation there takes 15 mins. But I figured just get it done. There are no seats in the tire service center and it's 104 degrees out. The food court was extremely hot so I figured I would find some furniture display in the store. The Christmas stuff is out so no furniture. I didn't need to shop as we had already been to Costco two days earlier. After an hour I went back to find out what was happening - they checked and said all my tire pressure gauges had failed and did I want to replace them at $60 per tire? ($240 total). Nope - I will just go now with my tire rotation. Well, that will take another 30 minutes. WHAT?!?!? I asked to talk to the manager and he said that it took an hour to check the tire pressure gauges. I told him I only wanted the light turned off and was here for a tire rotation, and it should have been disclosed so I could refuse the tire pressure check as there's no way I'm spending $240 on gauges. Explained how vastly different my experience with Costco was compared to our other tire center. My back was killing me and I said why don't you have chairs if things take so long here? He said no places have chairs - only doctors offices. To which I replied that the other two tire centers in Burbank have waiting areas with ac, plenty of chairs and even a TV to watch. He said he would hurry things up. After 30 more minutes I had to go back and wait in line again to find out when my car would be ready. The manager was apologetic and kept asking what he could do. My tires were already paid for months ago, and the tire rotation was free so obviously nothing. Needless to say I will be paying another tire center to rotate my tires in the future and hope this review spares others from making the mistake of buying from Costco tires. BTW my tire gauge light went off by the time I got home - apparently the old gauges still work after Costco said they failed. I did not expect shady upselling from anything under the Costco name.
