I've been coming to Kia of Glendale for the last 3 years, and every time, they don't disappoint! This is my second review but truly if I wrote a review for every 5-star experience I've had, I'd dominate the reviews. This year's visits were especially frequent, with emergencies like replacing tires and fixing my brakes, on top of getting my regular service. I swear I'm not the worst driver on earth, but even if I was, I know I'm getting star service . They make sure I'm seen quickly and efficiently every time. Despite surprise emergencies, they follow through with great service, even as walk-ins! I usually work with Juan or Rod in the service department. Juan: 15/10 for fast service and making me feel like a VIP. He answers calls/texts quickly and finds ways to help, even when I'm in a pinch. When my tires were worn out (twice), Juan got me in that same day. I appreciated this so much, especially when I told him I was leaving for a trip that day! He always shows me videos of what's wrong so we can discuss a game plan for repairs. He explains costs upfront before they start, so I'm never surprised by crazy charges. When I come for service, he's very transparent and walks me through what might need fixing outside the regular service, and what we can probably wait on. If you're looking for kindness, efficiency, and honesty, Juan will take good care of you. Rod: Rod was very helpful and able to get me in the same day when my brakes were shot. He was just as transparent, providing images and videos. When we found out my brakes needed more work than expected, he checked in first to see if I was comfortable proceeding. Super communicative and excellent service! Even if my appointment is with Juan, Rod always says hi and checks in with me! Alia (Finance): Alia is a homie! She's always friendly and remembers her customers, even if interactions are brief. Given how often I've come in recently (wah wah), she's made sure to offer options so I don't break the bank. She also gets your car ready right when you're checking out, so there's no wait. AND when the weather's bad (weird rain and heat waves?!), she quickly calls the shuttle so I can go home (I live nearby) and hang out with my dogs instead of waiting in the lobby. If I could give Kia of Glendale 10 out of 5 stars, I would. It's the first place I don't show up nervous, expecting surprise charges I'm unsure about. **THE WORST PLACE TO GET YOUR CAR SERVICED.** I came into this dealership on Friday regarding an issue with my Sportage Hybrid's 12V battery. The first red flag I should've noticed was how long I sat in my car waiting for Tony, our service advisor, to even come check in the vehicle. I explained the situation to Tony, and he assured both me and my boyfriend, who was with me, that diagnostics would be run on the car and that it would take about a day. He specifically told us that he would call us at 9 AM the next morning (Saturday) with an update on what was happening. If repairs were approved, he said they could potentially take until Tuesday to complete. Saturday at 9 AM rolls around... no call. I called and was sent straight to voicemail, so I left a message asking for a callback. No one ever called me back. I called again. And again. And again. After at least five calls, someone finally answered, only to tell me they couldn't even find my vehicle or service record in their system. ‍ Eventually, they located my record and said Tony would call me back. Of course, he never did. I continued calling several more times, and somehow, they STILL couldn't find my records. Out of all the calls I made, only one person was actually able to locate my vehicle in their system. After several hours and multiple attempts, I finally got in contact with Tony. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation, he was immediately defensive. He told me he never said he would call at 9 AM and claimed he had told us Tuesday. My boyfriend had to remind him that he was literally standing there with me when we had the conversation and heard Tony clearly say 9 AM for an update, with the repairs potentially taking until Tuesday if approved. Tony continued insisting that we were wrong. At that point, I decided I just wanted my car back. I showed up at the dealership after spending $50 on an Uber in 100+ degree weather. Not once did anyone apologize for the lack of communication or the inconvenience. Tony came out and continued arguing about what was supposedly said, still without an apology. I was then told that nothing had been done to my car, yet they still wanted to charge me. I refused to pay for something that apparently hadn't been done and was told, point blank, that they would not release my car until I paid Fine. At that point, I just wanted to leave, so I paid. But somehow, things got even worse. They didn't even know what my car was there for and then LOST MY CAR They searched around the dealership and couldn't find it. Eventually, I had to hitch a ride with one of their employees to their storage lot to look for it ourselves. Even there, they couldn't find it. After 30+ minutes, we finally found my car hidden in the back, behind several other vehicles. Seriously?! If you texted me that my car was ready for pickup why wasn't my car even pulled out and ready for me when I told you I was on my way? I wasted $100 on Uber rides, took a day off work, spent hours on the phone, and paid for a service that apparently wasn't even completed -- all just to get my car back with nothing resolved. The lack of communication was bad enough. The defensiveness, inability to locate my records, failure to know what my vehicle was there for, charging me when nothing was done, and then actually losing my car took this experience to another level. Please don't waste your time and money coming to this dealership. There are plenty of other places that will at least communicate with you, respect your time, and know where your car is. read more

Incompetent or crook - can't tell which is worse. My daughter was away from home and had a check engine light on. Took it to this dealership. The service rep diagnosed critical engine failure. We asked them to check the fans. They were adamant it was critical engine failure (couldn't tell us what that meant). We asked to speak to mechanic. They said no, that they were the contact. The family drove 8 hours from Northern California with a trailer, picked up the car and took it home. It was the fans. Replaced. Running perfectly. Shame on car Pros Kia service center. Probably the worst service I've had at any dealership. The customer service just isn't there and it never feels welcoming.. They've also been operating out of temporary setups for what feels like forever, so the dealership always looks bleh (that's more of an observation on my end and doesn't affect the review). We had a rep named Tony who communicated to both of us that it wouldn't be worked on the day of his appointment but today this Saturday. Strike 1. Second thing is that he told both of us he would contact us with an update today. Low and behold we have been calling all day for an updated 5/6 reps said they could not find his account/ record that we dropped off the car yesterday. Only one rep was able to locate it. This was the 10th attempt to call them back and at this point it was already 3 pm. Once we finally got a hold of Tony he said no I never said that. I work as a customer service manager and you never want to blame the customer... That is where I had to chime in and said no Tony you did I was there as well. He was dead silent. When my boyfriend went to go pick it up, they COULD NOT FIND HIS CAR! They took him to the storage it was NOT there. They drove back and they found the car behind another one after 30 mins . So please avoid this unprofessional, unorganized car dealer. No apologies were given and they deduct $100 off but no one seemed to actually care how inconvenient and how inconsiderate they are. I regret purchasing a used Kia Sorento phev here a year ago. The first moment I had this realization was washing the windshield right after purchase when some clear stuff came off revealing a hidden crack in the windshield. I brushed it off to maybe the person who leased the car before hid something but a year in I feel like this car is a piece of junk and so is this entire operation. In the last week my car has been leaking windshield wiper fluid inside of the car from the rear window.. right into my kid's car seat. Yesterday afternoon I took my child to a lesson after school and my car would not lock! The key fob was fine and batteries are fine.. it also would not lock hitting the button inside. I looked up both issues and they're common but not due to wear and tear. Despite this, the Kia dept does not seem to be honoring their warranty and want to charge me $270 just to look at the car. I'm in a bad situation where I need my car tomorrow to take a trip.. so I'm sitting in their freezing service department being told it'll take all day with horrible loud music playing (dance party at 7:30 am is my nightmare) and a man looking at a loud video of dogs on his phone next to me. The tech told me they can put some of the battery cost into the $270 but he wasn't sure if it would be more.. I just hope they replace it. I had a Toyota before this and an Oldsmobile before that, neither car ever broke in these weird ways. Especially one year into ownership :( I regret that I thought Kia would be okay with the warranty and feel tricked. Sorry I bought one here especially. I'm sad the Alhambra location is gone now- I planned to take it there since I had been told by other parents who had Kia's to avoid this place at all costs. My experience ended with getting my car back 6 hours later- the rear window wiper fluid fixed under the warranty and not charged because they never figured out why my car couldn't lock. Once again was taken care of by the service team at Car Pros Glendale. TK has always been in my corner, and when I showed him a few things that I didn't think were normal wear, he went to bat for me. He took my concerns seriously and sent them to his approval office for replacement. Three items were replaced under my warranty. He kept me in the loop always and we even talked on a Sunday at his prompting. Not many people will do that. If there were six stars, I'd give them to him. I had an 11:00 AM appointment for a basic service and dropped off my car with Greg. I returned at 1:00 PM expecting it to be ready, only to find out that my car hadn't even been touched. I was told Greg had a medical emergency and my file was passed to someone else. I was then asked to wait another hour, but the entire process ended up dragging on for 4 full hours for a simple service. While I completely understand that medical emergencies are unforeseen, the lack of communication and internal handoff here was terrible. If an advisor has to leave, management should reassign active tickets immediately instead of letting a customer's vehicle sit untouched for two hours without any update. I purchased a 2023 Kia Forte that was a certified and inspected with the manufacturers power train warranty. I started to notice an oil spots where ever I parked so I took it in to my mechanic. What they found was the oil pan had been leaking and had been previously attempted to be sealed and repaired. Bottom line cost me $1,100 at dealership to repair. I'm writing this out of my own used car experience with dealer and their poor inspection of vehicle to be selling as certified. I used Costco to buy the car, and still they didn't tell me about the LoJack alarm installed in the car until it was time to sign the paperwork. In my experience, it feels like the focus is on making bonuses rather than treating customers honestly and protecting the company's long-term reputation. This place is terrible, very unprofessional & to boot there are roaches in the waiting room. I took my car in before 3years old as driver seat had cracks in the pleather/leather. I was told that Kia will cover the seat. Problem is that they only have a technician for the seat during the week. I work from 6am-4pm M-F. I'm told, you will hear back as we will get you a car. Terrible service. Tried to scam us into paying $1000 "belts and hoses" when the car is a 2021 model. It's not even old and we've never heard of a car so young needing those things. Call back 20 minutes later, spoke to customer service, I stressed how important it is that this gets taken care of because we have work today. No response from Tigran yet again, and the customer service rep says, and I quote, "they're very busy right now, it's pretty backed up here, they should get back to you within a few hours." First of all I can't count how many times we've called them and they promise to get back to us and absolutely NEVER do. So we're not expecting much at this point. As a previous review I read mentioned, in public on this platform they appear to be engaging with those responses from Efrain so people think they care and want to help solve the issues but they do not. Purchasing a car here was ok, but that's not what this review is about. This review is about their service department. It's easy to make an appointment and someone picks up the phone, but they really need to better staff their service department. I made an appointment to drop off my car at 10am on a Sunday, and I had to wait in a long line to drop off my car. They took about 15 minutes per person per car to check in, so I had to wait about 45 minutes to even do the drop-off since there were 3 cars in front of me. Then, they told me to come back at 1:30 since they close at 2. I came back at 1:30 and I was told to wait until my name was called in the lobby. I waited but then asked them to check if my car was ready after about 15 minutes since I had to leave for another appointment I had. The service guy (who was super nice) went to check and came back, apologetic, saying he was sorry but they hadn't even gotten to my car yet. (!!!!!!!) he asked me to wait about 20 minutes (past closing btw) while they worked on the car. I'll echo another reviewer here, which is that they shouldn't make so many appointments if they can't service them in time. Or, at least they need to give a better time estimate and make sure things are done as scheduled. I don't think it's the fault of any of the employees here, as I saw them all running around and constantly busy. This is definitely a management/upper-staff issue, and it goes to show how poor the management is here. Kia Car Pros should definitely work on their management and staff the service department better. Dishonest and fraudulent Service Department. I took my car in for an oil change and routine maintenance. The Service Tech called me about an hour later with an urgent message, telling me that my brakes were in dangerous condition. He even sent a video of his mechanic with my tires off explaining how the brakes were at 10% and it would be extremely dangerous if I didn't change them. On top of that, he said there was damage to my rotors because of the condition of the brakes. My car was 2 years old with about 30K miles of mainly freeway driving. I told them I was skeptical but the tech told me that it wasn't uncommon and said they could even give me a discount if I got the work done today (all new brakes and all new rotors). I knew that this wasn't right so I declined. I took my car to 2 other brake shops. Both of them told me I had over 60% wear left on my brakes and of course there wasn't any damage to the rotors (how could there be with so much brake left). No courtesy shuttle. No loaner car. Coffee machine was small and coffee was the cheap kind. TV was on some YouTube music channel that kept repeating/looping. Very load. Maintenence package was very expensive and the worker tried to get me to buy their elite most expensive package that had things I had just had done with another KIA dealership. Absolutely no welcoming environment. Hated whole experience. Absolutely no confidence in the work that was done. Absolutely will not return. Absolutely will not recommend this service facility. No latino, no African-American or white employees. All Armenian. The surprise 3% surcharge on my bill was the last straw. They never disclosed that ahead of time, even though I told them it was my first time there for service. read more

Had Car Kia Forte serviced there 6 times now. Greg S the service technician assisted us. He is very knowledgeable and forthcoming about wait times, pricing, and recommendations regarding service. Took the car in for 30k tune up. Everything went well 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately ran over something on the freeway and front right tire had a budge. Went to Costco for a new tire and realized the wheel nut lock key was missing.
