Great Sales Service, I came to this dealership once I knew they were willing to accommodate me based on my situation (a tight budget). The internet saleswoman, Ms. Jessica S. and floor salesman, Mr. Duane went right to work. I discussed my parameters over the phone and they, without hesitation, stated they would honor their competitors sales deal only if I came in the same day. After work, I immediately responded to their dealership. Mr. Duane showed me the vehicle, a 2024 Nissan Z Nismo. He explained the various features and reassured me that our phone discussion would be honored if I was serious about the purchase. We walked inside and sat down and reviewed the numbers. In short, there were no "ADD ONs" like most dealerships sneak in on the price after the fact! The sales price, tax and license fees were within my budget. I was in the store and was out within 2 HOURS! Thank you for being transparent, respectful, and professional throughout the whole ordeal. Your customer service skills were excellent. I thought this is a legitimate Nissan dealer but it is nothing but a dishonest used car dealer. I saw a used vehicle online and I was about the strike it. I emailed the dealer asking for the final price with tax and license. This is a straight forward deal without any price negotiation or bargaining at all. I just want to pay for the price that the dealer listed plus tax and license. It should be simple, right? Not really! The dealer replied to me with a final figure that is $4000 on top of what they listed the vehicle for!!!??? They told me that they can explain why and sent me a sheet with the breakdown. It turned out that they want an extra $4000 for paint protection coating and door guards. It is laughable that they want an extra $4000 for things that cost pennies. On top of that, the add on items should be "optional" because the flyer on the window stated that it can be removed if the buyer wish to. However, the sales people insisted that they need to make a little money and wanted me to pay at least half of the money. Of course I refused and they never talked to me again while they were busy looking for other victims who don't understand what's going on and pay for the extra add on items. I've heard of some dishonest dealers adding on these extra fees at the end of the deal but I would never expect a genuine Nissan dealer doing such a thing. I would avoid dealing with a dealer that is so sneaky and dishonest. *In addition, the calculations in the break down is incorrect. The sales tax should be based on on the zip code where the new buyer register his / her vehicle and not the sales tax in Glendale. There is a discrepancy of 1.12% because the city where I reside has a lower tax rate than Glendale. The dealer knows this very well and they should submit the correct dollar amount (which is lower) to the State because the system automatically calculates the right amount. The dealer would end up pocketing the "overcharge" tax amount. For a $20,000 vehicle, that would be an extra $224. It would be a pretty substantial amount that the dealer cheated the State and the customers. I will notify the California State Board of Equalization about this practice. read more

I'm always surprised when I come across vastly differing reviews for the same business so please note that my review is specifically regarding the service I received from Sales Consultant, CHANCE, and Sales Manager, CHUY. I spoke with Chance regarding a used vehicle advertised for a certain price. Needless to say, I wanted to know what the additional mandatory "options" that countless dealerships tack on would be. Chance assured me that isn't done at Glendale Nissan. (Hmmm....maybe that was too good to be true??) Two days later I was at the dealership and went for a test drive in the car I had called about. So far, so good - but I was still waiting for some sort of surprise fees. Again, Chance assures me there wouldn't be any. Honestly this young man was so chill and such a nice guy and so darn believable. He didn't try to tack on hidden charges or pull any of those sneaky upselling tactics so many other dealerships employ. Came across a few glitches that had nothing to do with Glendale Nissan but Chance reassured me it was all going to work out. AND IT DID! I got to drive away in the car I've wanted for a while, got a fair deal and had a pleasant experience dealing with such nice people. So... I already posted a review in regard to the nightmare trade in a few months ago. So I returned to this location for a different reason. After multiple calls and a few emails regarding: "we would like to buy your car!" I decided to check in and see what they could do. (Please know the car itself is fine and there is nothing wrong with it.) I think it is a good brand of vehicle and people should consider them as their reliable source of transportation. I am only critiquing the terrible and disrespectful service I received from the appraiser. He called himself Melville Or Melvin. He acted like he had better things to do than to do his job and shot me down so quick as in "we would only do it if you get a car from this location again." Which of course did not want. So me being a respectful human being, I apologized for wasting his time. (As he looked and sounded annoyed the entire time he was assisting me.) Without a single "have a nice day" or a "thank you" back, he just gets up from his chair and walks away while avoiding eye contact whatsoever acting like he's working at some kind of prestigious establishment in his little H&M suit. ...Do better Glendale nissan. 13 more months to go until my nightmare lease ends. Ever since then I have been trying to get help in many ways but every single time it has gotten worse and worse. Now I tried to get some information about some extra warranty. They sold me and I was getting transferred from place to placewhere no one ever answers. I try to get to the general manager, which I was told his name was Luis and also left a message for him. No answer either sales person Chris even told me not only they cannot help me over the phone. A complete waste of time, effort and money making the trip from San Diego over the weekend. The General Manager texted me how my visit went and why I ended up walking away from the dealership. I responded to his text, and didn't even bother responding to my response. That tells you what kind of leadership, or lack thereof in his management style. AVOID THIS NISSAN AT ALL COSTS! The people here are the ones giving car salespeople a bad name. If you do come here, Rudy, Jesse, and Eddie Gee are the ones to avoid! I came here a couple weeks ago with my girlfriend who had a lease with this dealer, and she was planning on buying it out. She kept receiving texts to come in, and was told that she would need to get an option contract from the dealer before she could get a loan from another lender. We showed up, and the person she had made the appointment with was late, so another employee named Rudy helped us. He said he would need to inspect the car, so she handed over the keys and he said we could wait inside. Despite saying that she didn't want to sign any kind of financial agreement that day, and told them so from the beginning, they kept pushing her to finance with them, and kept asking her, "why? Why wait? I don't understand!" They said that they wanted to pull her credit report to see if they could give her a better rate than the other lenders she was considering, so she agreed. They were not able to give her a better rate, but still kept pushing her to sign with them. We finally got fed up and said that we would return the following week, at which point a 4th employee named Eddie Gee, who I assume is a finance manager, told us that they were only supposed to run your credit when they have determined that you're buying the car, and that because they went ahead and ran it, it caused the car to be 'grounded', and that we could not leave with the car until she signed a contract to purchase it. It feels like they straight up took her car and essentially blackmailed her into signing a contract with them to get it back. Starting with the text messages, there was no mention that they would ground the car if she came in that day. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable and underhanded, and we will never come back to this dealership again. If you want to improve customer relations I would suggest you train your sales force to actually listen to what the customer wants and to fully explain all options and to not force them into a corner until they have no choice but to do business with you. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NISSAN GLENDALE!!!! read more

Well I took my car in for a recall for the hood latch. When I got there my check tire warning light was on so I asked that they take a look at it for me. "Yes no problem" he replied. When I got back into my car to drive off I noticed the light was still on so I asked this guy about it and he said oh there is a nail in the tire. I said was someone going to tell me that ??? He said its written on your paperwork, I said can you show me and of course it wasn't there. He had to take car back in to recheck it. So it came back and he said oh there wasn't a nail but light off now. Needless to say I did not have much comfort after this interaction so I ended up taking my car to a tire shop and having them check my tires just to be sure. This is not my first incident with this dealership where it feels like they just make up responses with without really knowing. They did the same thing to me right after I purchased my vehicle regarding my tires. Sadly this is the closest Nissan dealer to me so it's convenient but I don't really have too much confidence in how they perform their maintenance checks. The staff here is fantastic. This is my first buying experience using financing. Met John when I first walked in to the show room to check in at the desk. I knew which cars I wanted to see so he brought keys for each model so we could test drive as soon as I was ready. He is very knowledgeable and provided great insight to features I hadn't even considered. After the test drive he offered to run some numbers with no pressure. As he collected the required information, it felt more like a friendly easy conversation. He worked with the numbers I had hoped for. Manger Eddie came over to address some questions I had in a way I fully understood and was able to do what he could to meet my desired payment range. This is a major first purchase for me so it was definitely nerve racking, yet made to be extremely easy. So, I'm finally able to write a little review of this dealership. Went in a month ago. I was shopping for a used Infiniti QX60 or the Nissan Pathfinder counterpart. I was across the street at the Infiniti dealership (very nice people and not sketchy at all) but they didn't have what I was looking for available. So I thought I'd run across the street and check with these Nissan guys. They didn't have any pathfinders but they did have a used QX60 that had a lot of premium stuff I'll admit. I checked it out and sat down to talk price. The guy told me they needed to add about $5k to the price for the special paint coating, anti theft device and something else, which is more than usual but typical (I've been buying cars at dealers for a LONG time and they all do this. NOTE- YOU CAN REFUSE THESE! They are cheap additions that literally cost a few hundred bucks if you bought them separately but dealers mark them up $1000 or more!). So he scribbled a bunch of numbers on their 4-square page that I couldn't read and says the final price was about $46k! Now, mind you, the sticker price was about $31k, so with the $5k in extras I was expecting him to say $36k, so my initial reaction was a perplexed laughter as I could have walked back across the street and bought a brand spanking new one for that price. I asked him where the hell he came up with 46k and he said they had to add another $10k. I said this wasn't going to happen and got up to leave, at which point he insisted I talk to the manager and ran to get him. I obliged another couple minutes because I just had to hear this one. Manager comes out and literally said to me that the $10k extra was some sort of car shortage surcharge! I laughed and just told him we were too far apart and I wouldn't waste my time anymore. He hounded me for a counter offer so I obliged and told him I'd give him $24k for the car, straight up cash - without the paint coating/theft device. He said I was insulting him, to which I basically replied that he insulted me with his $10k BS surcharge! In the 20 seconds it took me to gather up and get up to leave, he basically worked his way all the way down to $29k. I said no and left. I've bought a lot of cars at dealerships over the years (about 30) and I actually enjoy "negotiating" with these guys and have even been offered a job a couple times. I've seen a lot of BS, some understandable and some rather ridiculous (one dealer actually told me they couldn't remove the anti theft device after telling me that they added it themselves in the first place. It's a small box that plugs in somewhere, like a usb drive). And I can respect they want to negotiate as high as possible cuz they want to maximize their income. But this one took the cake as I've never had a bigger pile of bs shoveled my way by a dealer before. I also saw other dealers in there with other customers and took note of the really derogatory manner and high pressure they were doling out. I've never really been so insulted/alarmed by a dealership's practices so as to feel the necessity to write some sort of review, especially this long, in all the years. My grandmother came here to buy a used 2017 grey Nissan Altima and she had the car for only one week when she started to have major car problems. At first they tried to make her pay for getting the car repaired then she threatened to sue them because the car was involved in a major accident and they didn't think to inform her or show any of the information on the car facts, the head manager came out his office and asked her "how can we make you smile?" ()and then offered to fix the car and put her in a rental with no pay. She ended up getting the car fixed from them and decided to file her papers anyways. She wanted to drive the car but didn't want to at the same time because she didn't feel safe. She ended up buying a new car but she wants everyone to be careful buying a used car from them (wanted to give them 0 stars but sadly that's not an option) read more

Didn't know Nissan had just launched a brand new Rogue and its new revamped Sentra. Didn't wanna try the Rogue since its too big for my needs, but thought I'd try the new Sentra. The guy refuses to give me a 2nd car to test drive. Reason? Can't give 2 test drives to 1 person ((granted.. due to covid times). Well, we said, we are 2 people here... can you let us test the car under the 2nd person's license? Nopes, he says! I'm feeling my blood going to my temples, but I calmly ask the guy to call the Manager. The Manager comes and has the exact same verbatim response! Not a single soul other than us in the lot but he wouldn't make a concession (which wouldn't be a concession in the first place!). They were pushy and when I went back with my wife to go over the contract the Manager suggested in a not to subtle way that my Aunt and wife were stupid. It wasn't until I told him that I was a Manager and understand that the customer is always right and his attitude sucked that he finally started to treat us with a little respect. I didn't get a new car and service department had closed for the day. When the sales team realized I wasn't getting a car, they didn't care to leave me stuck and told me to just get an Uber. I paid for an Uber home. I came the next day to pick up my car from service department and they were trying to persuade to get a new car. While waiting for finance consultant, I was talking to someone on the show floor who let me know about a coupon online. He was very pushy and would repeatedly tell us he would not give us the price LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE, even after he would tell me show me, show me the price" and literately made me search it. He would also add some "accessories" and would not give us the option to remove them. His whole approach was not right. They told be because my brother in law just got a SSN we can't get his credit score today, let's sign the lease today under your name only and tomorrow we will add your brother in law for sure. I specifically asked them are you sure we are not going to have any problem and they promised me everything should be 100% find without any problem and changes. Next day I called them and they told me that to add him to the lease they have to increase lease monthly payment from $410 to $460 and reason was because he doesn't have credit score. I told them 1000 times before signing lease and they said it is not an issue, your credit score is perfect and there is not problem. Now I am calling to sales person John who was helping me and the doesn't answer my calls. They just make a sale and after that any promise will not happen 100%. Horrible place and horrible staff !!! Went here to try to pay off our car at the end of the lease. They were shady and dishonest. Out of the blue they wanted $1,495 in fees just to pay off our car cash! They said b/c the car was worth a lot more than they had expected 3 years ago in our lease contract they were adding the extra $1,495 on top of the $300 purchase option price. We asked them to show us where in the contract or their policies it said we owed that extra fee and they wouldn't produce anything.
