Recently, my wife's car battery died inside our garage. AAA came out but was completely unable to jump-start the car or even tow it, as they couldn't get the vehicle into neutral. They offered no solutions and simply told me to contact the dealer. I reached out to both the Service Manager, Edgar Oganesyan, and Service Advisor, Ben Aguirre. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at BMW Glendale. I brought in my 2022 BMW 430i with only 22,000 miles for oil change and was presented with a long list of recommended maintenance items, including a coolant flush, cabin air filter replacement and other services that appear to be significantly earlier than BMW's standard maintenance intervals. I trusted the service advisor's expertise, Amie, only to later learn that some of these recommendations may not have been necessary at my vehicle's mileage. Her manager, Edgar rather than address my concerns with facts and documentation, just kind of brushed my concerns aside. He said the cabin air filter is replaced with an oil change. As a customer, I expect transparent explanations and recommendations that are based on BMW's actual maintenance schedule and the condition of the vehicle--not on selling additional services. When I questioned the recommendations, I was left feeling that my concerns were not adequately addressed. I would strongly encourage other customers to ask for documentation showing exactly why a service is needed, whether it is required by BMW's maintenance schedule, and what inspection findings support the recommendation. Think twice before completing a lease return inspection at this dealership. My experience with the lease return manager was extremely disappointing. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the inspection process. During my initial inspection, I was quoted nearly $3,000 in damages based on scratches he claimed exceeded the allowable 4-8 inch guidelines.(which were really less than 2 inches) I had those issues addressed and returned for a second inspection, expecting the estimate to be reduced. Instead, he claimed there were no changes at all and insisted the damages were still nearly $3,000. When I questioned the inspection and explained that I disagreed with the assessment, he became argumentative and condescending. The experience left me feeling that the damages were being significantly overstated to pressure me into leasing another vehicle through the dealership so the charges could be rolled into a new lease. Whether that was the intent or not, that's certainly how it came across. To get a second opinion, I took my vehicle to Valencia BMW for another lease return inspection. Their assessment came back with $0 in damages, which made the difference between the two inspections impossible to ignore. After 15 years as a loyal BMW customer, this experience has completely changed my opinion of this dealership. I gave this BMW dealership the benefit of the doubt, and unfortunately I still had a very bad experience. The first time I brought my vehicle to the service department, I was told they would help appraise it and email me a proper report. That never happened. I came back a second time, hoping the issue would finally be handled correctly, and met with the showroom sales department. Instead of providing any formal paperwork or a clean written appraisal, they simply used a Sharpie on a piece of paper to tell me what they thought the car was worth, I could of done that at home as well. That was extremely unprofessional, disorganized, and lazy. After two visits, I still did not receive the proper documentation I was told I would get. Today I called the Service Department of Pacific BMW. I was very clear on the phone with the employee assisting me that I needed help in terms of setting up my 2020 BMW 330i XDrive and I wanted to get to know the dealership where I'll be having it serviced. An appointment was made for 2:00 pm. I arrive and BMW Genius confirmed my appointment time. I sit and wait thinking I'll be meeting the service man that assisted me over the phone. The BMW Genius returns to tell me that another BMW Genius will come to assist me and the wait time is 30 minutes. So I waited patiently, reading a book about the history of M3 vehicles. I see the BMW Genius ask an employee with a gray shirt for assistance, and I clearly hear him say" I only talk to end of lease clients." The employee sounded dismissive. So I was glad that one wasn't going to help me. LOL Then I saw him talk to another employee with glasses with a gray shirt and he didn't help either. So the BMW Genius had that employee take over confirming guests appointments and told me he was going to help out. He went to ask his manager and asked where I bought the vehicle from. I told him and he went back to his manager. In the end, he came back and asked me the age of the vehicle. I told him and he said that they were trained to assist with the newer vehicles that had the square shaped touch screen displays. 2023 and newer 3 series definitely have an updated entertainment touchscreen display. I also explained that I was having an issue with setting up a BMW profile. He explained that it needed to be set up with the dealership I bought the from. I explained they didn't know how to do it. Plus it wasn't from a BMW dealership. I even said this on the phone before I came in at 2:00 pm. Saying that you could only help with the new cars is either poor training or I'm being brushed off. Overall, the issue wasn't just that I didn't get help, it was the lack of coordination and how the situation was handled. For a luxury brand, I expected a much more professional and welcoming experience. I brought my car in for service because passenger restraint light on. Second time in a year, the warranty was not accepted. BMW 330i is only one year old and I paid thousands of dollars in extended and special warranties. This is the second time, I was told it , ' wasn't a warranty item." I was told liquids cannot be spilled on heated seats. I replied then why are there cup holders near the seats, BMW gives you water etc. There is no warning by BMW to not have liquids in the car, this is a failure to warn by BMW to not have liquids near heated seats. Everyone I spoke to had never heard about no liquids near heated seats. No wet raincoat no umbrella, no busted Starbucks lid, etc. Now I have to pay almost $500 just to find out what's wrong plus any parts and labor. Talked about taking advantage of first selling me useless warranties and now not accepting the warranty and charging me more than a doctor's visit for diagnosing the problem. Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I have been a long-time customer at BMW Pacific in Glendale, but my most recent visit was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I brought my vehicle in for a recall service and asked the service advisor, Benjamin, to check what repairs could be done under my warranty only. I was very clear that I did not want to authorize any paid diagnostics or services. I also verbally stated that I did not want to pay anything out of pocket. However, when I picked up my vehicle, I was unexpectedly charged $286 for a diagnostic that I never requested or approved. I was told that I had signed the document, but like many customers, I routinely sign paperwork during drop-off without being clearly informed that I was authorizing a paid diagnostic. This was never properly explained to me. I spoke with the manager afterward, but unfortunately, no real help or resolution was provided. This experience made me feel misled and disrespected as a loyal customer. Charging customers for services they did not request--especially after clearly stating they do not want to pay--is unacceptable and unprofessional. After many years of servicing my car here, I no longer feel comfortable returning. I had warranty work done my X3 for the ambient lighting issues, and I just found out that there are crazy gaps in the lighting on the portion that faces downwards. Didn't notice until I was detailing the car and happened to look underneath the trim. Not only that, there are several rattles coming from every single door panel. It seems like the door trim wasn't properly put on causing parts inside the door trim to rattle when music is played decently loud. Inspecting my door handles, I can also see a bunch of pry marks on the bottom of them. Seems that they pried them off carelessly. If you own your BMW and care about it, do not come here. Edit: To add more to the review, I took apart all 4 door cards and found that they only used 3 of the required 12 repair screws that are specified in TIS to fix the trim back on the door card. Not only that, the optical guides in the door were all loose. These two things combined were causing all the rattling and vibrating noises. Also, the wiring harnesses behind the door weren't properly routed back to where they needed to be, and the fabric behind the door was overlapping the speaker grills. The technicians that work here do half assed, hasty work. Again, if you own your BMW and care about it, don't come here. Absolute regret ever getting this warranty work done.. I had to make a yelp account just to write this. I never write reviews, but I hope management sees this because what I witnessed was absolutely ridiculous. I was there on Saturday, April 18, to pick up my car. Everything was great, my service advisor helped me out and gave me my paper work in no time. I was told to wait outside and someone will bring my car down. I waited nearly 30 minutes to receive my car. I saw ONLY one young man hustling the whole time. He was a slim, young man with curly hair. Unfortunately, he was the only one I saw getting cars down which could explain the long waiting time. Upon him delivering my vehicle to me, I saw another young man who I assume was his coworker bringing another person's car down. He was tall, and light skinned. Unfortunately I was unable to get either of their names. But the young man that brought my car down was literally sweating and breathing heavy from what I assume was due to all the cars he had been bringing down , the other young man was visibly relaxed without a care in the world. How was one worker able to bring down a handful of cars while another managed to bring only ONE down. It is beyond ridiculous how such a great dealership allows workers like that into their company! Pacific BMW do better! That inconsiderate young man needs to have a serious wake up call from management. We need more people like the young man that was hustling! The worst car service experience I went to this dealership as I received a letter from BMW North America stating that the active grill shutters got extended warranty and it was a check engine light. This review is for Pacific BMW Service Department. Wow! Talk about HORRIBLE customer service. I purchased brand new factory front and rear brake pads along with brand new front and rear sensors for my 2020 BMW x5. I decided to have my brakes replaced by my mechanic of over 20 years (its brakes, not rocket science). If the dealer would charge reasonable prices, of course I would get it done there but their prices are absurd! Regardless, I paid 3x the cost of aftermarket parts to get the best possible parts and sure enough 2 of the sensors are defective. I called Mike right away and told him about the situation and he said we can't just replace the part, you have to bring it into service for us to be sure that that's the problem. I take time off work as they said they will take care of it promptly and it will be a quick in and out process. Although, I get there and they make me wait for 30 minutes and told me the advisor will be with me shortly. After waiting patiently, I go inside to see the advisor, John Vazquez sitting at his desk on his phone (keep in mind I had to leave work in a rush to take care of this). I tell him about the situation and he immediately says "it's going to be $250 for us to take a look at it." Immediately, you can tell from his tone that no matter what the problem may be, he's going to say the problem was not their parts. Such a horrible attitude and way to deal with the customer. No wonder this dealers reviews are going down the tubes. It's very obvious. I've been coming to this dealership for over 13 years now and recommending everyone here, but this was the final straw. I just decided to buy the parts again rather than waste my valuable time with these guys and get aggravated. I'd recommend everyone who has a bad experience take the time out of your day and share your experience. Sooner or later, once this location has 1 review people will catch on and take their business elsewhere. Lost a valuable customer over $60.00.
