First time eating here after living in the area for years. We were looking for a brunch that would satisfy our savory and sweet needs. Came in with no expectations but we left wondering why the heck we haven't eaten here sooner! It was absolutely divine. The staff was exceptional! They treated us like their family and were genuinely excited to hear that it was our first time dining with them. My husband had a spiked cold brew and the lobster and brie omelette. I had their house brew with the pancake trio that included their lemon blue berry goat cheese, buttermilk, and banana foster options and also came with eggs and bacon. We also ordered a side biscuit and gravy. Pancakes were the best I've ever had... hands down. Texture was perfect and the flavors were top notch. Biscuit was soft and buttery. The bacon was the kind when you take a bite it catches you off guard how tasty it is. My husband greatly enjoyed his omelette and the pepper sauce they have on the table made it even better. Crab cake was good though was expecting whole lumps of crab meat. The sauce was very good and infused with andouille sausage. Belgian was light and fluffy. I have been to this place a few times and always get something tasty. This time, I got the Kale and Salmon salad (pictured) and it is served with a jalapeño honey vinaigrette. It's a really simple salad. I asked for the dressing on the side because all too often, restaurants tend to drench my salad to the point it is inedible-- I wasn't going to take a chance. The dressing us also really light and tangy. My sister had the Bananas Foster French Toast (pictured) and it looked divine. She frequently comes to this restaurant and usually eats really healthy but says that this meal is one to save your cheat day for. The plate was huge and she was unable to finish it all! I also had a mimosa which tasted mostly like orange juice with a splash of champagne. She had the Bloody Mary which was bland in my opinion. This restaurant has the option to waitlist before arriving and I definitely recommend using that. I used it this visit and was seated immediately but I have waited up to 45 minutes before, although there are shops to visit while you wait and they text you when your table is available. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is for the drinks. This place is always busy so the wait is expected. The complete lack of give a damn, however, is not. The hostess' blamed us for not checking in after a 95 minute wait. Btw, we used the "No Wait" app this time and the 95 minutes was the time after our seat time on the app. Needless to say, that app is garbage. Onward. We came in to check after seeing 10-12 groups seated that arrived after we. The hostess then looked at us and said, "Oh, you gots to check in when you gets here". Then we showed her on the ipad where our name was and that it had been almost two hours sense we arrived. They then proceeded to seat four more groups before bothering with us. The meal included a cinnamon roll and two slices of French toast topped with cream cheese icing, foster sauce, mixed berries and whipped cream. The only draw back for my son is he wishes they had put the syrup on the side. He said it was a little too sweet for him, but it was mouth watering for me. Yes, I helped him finished the meal off. I ordered the Floridian. This was a cream cheese filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese and green onions. This was delicious!!!! I returned to this establishment on April 22nd with the bridesmaids after the wedding rehearsal. We were bad, but we shared on meals. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Gulf shrimp and andouille sausage sautéed with red peppers and onions in a spicy tobasco sauce was SUPERB!!! The grits were the right consistency and the flavor was through the roof! I can't say enough great things about this restaurant and its employees. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile and friendliness. We checked in on the app on our way to the restaurant and when we arrived they notified us it would be about 15-20 mins before a table was ready. It was maybe 5 minutes before we got our table. They were extremely apologetic about the "wait" (I think maybe they based our wait off of when we checked in). We obviously told them no worries at all! Our waitress Brittany (spelling?) was PHENOMENAL! She gave us food/drink suggestions, talked with my chatty husband (haha), and interacted adorably with our two year old son. Our food was the icing on the cake! I ate the seasonal carnitas Benedict and my husband had the sweet potato waffle. Both absolutely delicious. Our son got a kid's plate with a side of fruit (side of fruit had pomegranate seeds in it, YUM!). We also tried the beignet holes with orange jam/jelly... SO tasty! To be honest, all of the food we saw looked so good as well. Again, our experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. There were fingerprints and white stuff around the rim. My food looked like it was thrown on my plate. I never received sugar or cream for my coffee. Now as far as my breakfast guest she ordered the Mardi Gras omelet. She got something completely different. It wasn't until after we paid and got ready to leave the manager decided to come out.
