I attended a large group event at Char- I'm talking ~75+ people. Because of how big their space is, they were able to seat our group into its own room with pre-fixe menus to choose from. Service was fantastic as they had servers frequently rotating through the space to check on guests! The space quickly got loud with the energy of the group, but it was nice that they were even able to set up projector screens within the space for the group to see as it was a business event. We had multiple options to choose from and I went with a fish. To no fault of their own, I think I had a slight allergic reaction to it, but it was delicious and tasty. We went on a Friday during Lent so we didn't order steak (we will be back to try) but I ordered the redfish and my husband ordered the mahi and both fish dishes were excellent! I sat in the bar area, and the service was extremely slow from start to finish. It took quite a while just to be acknowledged, and once I finally received my drink, it was another long wait before anyone came back to take my order. Refills were also slow to come around. After I finished eating, the young lady asked if I wanted to see the dessert menu, but by the time she returned, I had already decided to pass--it just took too long. I visit this restaurant every other week while in town for work and have always enjoyed it in the past, but my last two experiences have been extremely subpar compared to the level of service I'm used to here. Came here with a reservation on a Saturday night. My sister just moved into town so I came down from California to visit her and wanted to take her on a nice dinner date. I found this spot on Yelp and it was def giving the vibes I was looking for. Got seated right away. Our server Amber was awesome. She had great energy and was very attentive and nice to us. Worst experience ever with poor service. I felt unvalued as a frequent customer. Waitress catered to the older white couple and went above and beyond to meet their needs. After waiting for almost 10 minutes the waitress finally spoke and took my drink order . When she back to my table for actual order , still no beverage or water . After waiting for beverage and extended time my food was served by another waiter. He also asked have you not received your drink, I replied NO! The original server never bothered to ask after walking past me several times was I ok or did I need anything further! I won't mention the bread I asked for from the second server. Never received and had to get up from my table and ask the original server could I please have bread! No bread received . We tried this restaurant for dinner for the first time on Sunday evening. We didn't have any reservations but good thing, we only had to wait 10 minutes or so before we were seated. I do recommend making reservations though. We started with their soup of the day, which was chicken, asparagus and mushrooms and it was delicious. Perfect for a chilly night. I like how nice and big this place is from the inside and they have multiple locations - in Tennessee, here and Alabama. For entrees, we ordered their Range chicken and Atlantic salmon. We started off with cocktails and appetizers, which consisted of the Pamaritas, Espresso Martini, a cup the soup of the day (Shrimp bisque) and the Award-Winning Crab, Shrimp & Andouille Gumbo. Our cocktails were perfectly crafted. The cups of soups were hot and delicious. Our server also brought us bread service. Wish it came with a bit more corn. The Ahi Tuna Salad was prepared medium rare which is how I would recommend it. It's a large salad so you will most likely fill up. Went on a Wednesday night by a recommendation of a local (again), and will be returning again. The first thing I noticed was a full parking lot. Always a good sign. The hostess was pleasant and seated me within a few seconds. My server Nicole, was happy, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu. I listened to her recommendations and went with the ribeye with shrimp and scallops and fried onions and a side salad. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium but should've went with medium rare or even rare, as what I got was slightly pink in the center but medium well around the edges. Don't be afraid to go rare, can always cook a few seconds longer. The steak had a béarnaise sauce and the fried onions added a little crunch to it. The two shrimp and single scallop were perfectly cooked which also came with a very decadent buttery cream dip. The ambiance was very sophisticated and I felt underdressed in my hockey jersey. I know that's intentional to create a specific atmosphere, but it's not really my cup of tea. It's dark enough that I did see several people need to use their phone flashlights to read the menu, so if that's not your thing, just know that's how it is going in. I recently visited and I must say that the staff wasn't too friendly the seemed to look at me and my daughter as if we weren't supposed to be there. The staff that walked back and forth our table wouldn't even speak nor would the manager that walked but they spoke to others at tables before and after our table.
