I visited Mighty Crab in Jackson, Mississippi on Thursday, 06/04/26, around 9 PM. Originally, I had the intention to dine inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, the hostess indicated that the restaurant doesn't allow dine-in guests one hour before closing. I proceeded to go with the takeout option instead. At this restaurant, daily specials are offered. Since I came on a Thursday, I opted for the seafood boil deal that came with 1 lb of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn, and red potatoes. I customized the flavor as the "Mighty Special" - Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Butter all combined. For the spicy level, I chose "Hot." The total was only $36.99! This was such a steal, especially since the seafood boil bag was generous. When trying it, it was honestly so flavorful and palatable. The sauce literally made the crab legs, shrimp, corn, and potatoes beyond tasty. Mighty Crab serves satisfying seafood boils with mouthwatering bold flavors! I give one star because of the terribly unprofessional, disrespectful treatment I received from staff today. I called in my order of two bowls of steamed white rice, a half a pound of sausage, and 3 corn on the Cobb. The corn on the Cobb is currently advertised at $3.00 on the website. However the agent informed me that the price has changed and it was now $3.50 and she said this was an incredible amount of anger and attitude. I informed her that the restaurant was suppose to sell at the advertised price but that I would speak to someone about it later and as soon as I said that it sounded like she slammed down the phone. I heard nothing. I ended up calling back and she answered and before I could say anything she said someone else 'would deal with me'. When the other woman came to the phone I started to give my order and I mentioned the advertised price showed $3.00 and she cut me off and said 'no one would be honoring the price on the website'. As I was speaking to her the other female was in the background yelling and insulting me. I could hear her very well. I mentioned to the woman that I could hear her and she cut me off again and told me in so many words she 'didnt have time to address that and for me to continue with the order". I finished my order and she said one of the part owners was inside the restaurant but that the owners 'never spoke with customers' and "he's not going to discount anything for you'. WOW... Talk about being incredibly rude. I like the food here but the way they handled the price being different on the website was just to ignore it and go off on the customer who brought it to their attention. read more

Well what can I say. We were greeted by a nice young that sat us at our table of request with no issues. Then we were greeted by our awesome server Felicia. She was very helpful since this was our first time The menu is easy , but we needed a little navigation help to figure out which way to go, Felicia delivered precisely on every question we asked. We first ordered the sliced fried pickles as an appetizer. The were hot, fresh, and perfectly fried. They were served with ranch dressing. We chose the Step 1,2, and 3 option. Which gave us a opportunity to choose our fresh seafood from an array of choices which included lobster, shrimp, mussels, and crawfish. The portions were exceptional, and the taste and flavor was superb. Everyone in the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place when you are in Jackson, MS. read more

Service was great, Teel my server helped me navigate my choices and put up with my questions, Claudette and Mr Ricky also checked in. The food was seasoned perfect and crawfish might be my new favourite seafood!! I picked the 1lbs crawfish, 1/2 lbs snow crab and 1/2 lbs green muscles. Mighty special seasoning and med heat. Finally got to try The Mighty Crab tonight. The server for the table behind me told them (they came in Sunday) that due to the complaints about the spicy levels not being that spicy, they have changed the seasonings to up the heat level. Anyway, I ordered the pound of snow crab legs in the medium garlic butter seasoning. The corn was so good in that seasoning. The potatoes.....I could have done without them. The crab legs were seasoned really good and there was a kick to them for a medium level of heat. I thought it wouldn't be enough but the two clusters and corn combined were good. My husband and I were looking for a nice place to eat snowcrab legs while in the area. It narrowed it down to two places. We picked this one because of the reviews and location to our hotel. We could not have been more pleased. Plenty of parking, clean area, and nice restaurant. We were seated as soon as we arrived and Jasmine was our waitress. The atmosphere was quite, very well decorated, and lots to look at. She was very friending, prompt, and cared for every need. Our food arrived quickly. There was plenty of food and the seasoning was spot on (not too over powering but enough to enjoy the taste). My husband usually uses a lot of butter but the garlic butter sauce it was cooked in it made it just prefect. He didn't even touch the extra butter. My husband and I have eaten crab legs at a lot of places all over the US, but this is our favorite so far. Give this local business a try! You won't be disappointed. read more

Anyways, we came for a late Friday lunch, maybe around noonish, and there were a nice crowd. The establishment was nicely decorated with a fisherman, seafood theme. It's spacious with a large bar in the center and plenty of booths and tables. They offer plenty of different appetizers, seafood baskets, boiled seafood and sides. We ordered a make your own seafood combo with crawfish (not fresh, imported) and clams, along with a Friday special ($30) that consisted of a lobster tail, 1/2 lb of headless shrimp, 1/2 lb of snowcrab (1 cluster), a corn and three potatoes. You can choose what sauces you want your seafood tossed in and spice level. We tried one with medium cajun sauce and the other with medium garlic butter sauce. The sauces were a tad salty. I liked the garlic butter more than the cajun but if it had more garlic and less salt, it'd be perfect! It'd also be better if the seafood were fresh instead of frozen and imported. Don't worry about getting your hands messy because they'll give you a bib and gloves to dig in. Our server, Tear, was polite and attentive. Overall, not bad of an experience but oh my goodness! I dined on a Tuesday lunch period and it was pretty slow which was fine with me. I ordered the Thursday Special on a Tuesday so I paid a little more. Btw they have really great daily specials so I would recommend exploring these options. The crab legs were kinda small and shrimp was pretty average size which was good. I really enjoyed the seafood overall. I selected the mighty sauce mild and I could if went Med. We were served by Felicia and she was very kind and attentive. For a drink I ordered the Spicy Crabrita.. it was on not spicy much and I didn't get any crab feel so maybe the name was a little deceiving. Since it was my first time she explained the menu throughly and professionally. Answer all my questions. When she bought me a bucket with a bib, crab cracker and gloves I knew things were about to get serious. Lol. I ordered the King Crab and it was incredible. I order it with all the seasonings and mild spice. It comes with potatoes and corn. Everything was so flavorful. I can't wait to come back and try more. This definitely wont be my last visit. I absolutely love seeing more and more of these style seafood boil popping up! It's good, but better make sure that you check your blood pressure and cholesterol after Your seafood is swimming in butter. The best part is, they usually offer a bowl of rice or bread to soak up all the delicious sauce! We ordered 1.5lbs of shrimp, 1/2lbs lobster, 1.5lbs snow crab legs. Got the Juicy special sauce, medium spice. We got there during peak hours, there were a lot of people there, but the place is huge (old China Buffet building), and they have a lot of employees, so we were seated within a few minutes, so don't let the crowd deter you away. They offer bibs, wipes, and gloves, I ditched the gloves. When I eat good seafood, I'm dipping all 10 fingas in there, don't judge me. Very beachy decorated, the bar is shaped like a boat. A ton of big screens that had football playing, and huge "sharks" on the ceiling. Adult's and kids would probably enjoy this place. I included a menu for y'all. Oh yeah! this was my lucky day, i survived finals week and decided to come here to celebrate with my favorite friends. i decided to treat myself to a NICE HUGE SEASONED CRAB BOILLLL!!! i got a pound of king, half pound of snow & half pound of shrimp. i was impressed with the portions along with the flavor. they didn't over do it with the butter or seasoning i didn't feel like my cholesterol was going to spike or anything like that which was cool. my problem with most boils is that they are over concentrated with flavor, but this place hit the nail right on the T! service was great as well! will be coming here for boils from now on :) read more

I ordered takeout here a few months ago and my family and I enjoyed our seafood bags. We got a few different seasonings and ultimately decided that their signature flavor with all seasonings in one was our favorite. I ordered takeout again this week and was disappointed. The crab legs and corn were over cooked, the potatoes undercooked (still a bit hard), crawfish lacked seasoning as if they were just thrown in the mix, and I don't feel that I got my full portions based on what I paid for. I got the Tuesday special which was 1/2 lb crawfish, 1/2 lb shrimp, and 1/2 lb crab legs with corn and potatoes. I also got a 1lb shrimp bag and 1lb crab leg bag; these are also suppose to come with their own corn and potatoes. When I receive the order, I had 3 bags but all of my shrimp and crawfish was in 1 bag. I had a small bag of crab legs, and 1 additional bag with crab legs, 3 small ears of corn, and about 8 potatoes. I felt "cheated." The flavor was awesome per usual (with the exception of the tossed in crawfish, which were cooked well might I add). But, I don't plan on taking out anymore. I ordered King Crab and a pound of shrimp to-go. The sauce is what matters to me most. And they got it wrong. I ordered the juicy special sauce. I tasted no lemon, no garlic, just a cajun sauce that tasted more like salty water. I had to make my own sauce. The juicy special at the location in Pearl is awesome. This location is awful. On top of that, the guy who took my money didn't wear his mask. I didn't like that. I can say the crab was cooked right. Just hated I paid for flavors I didn't get. read more

I found this on Yelp. I was coming back from a doctors appointment and found it was close. I'd never seen it before. I had the lunch special clams. It's a boil. Came with potato and corn. The clams are in the shell. I thought it was wonderful. The sauce they were boiled in was tasty. My only suggestion would be a little less salt. The price is right. I'll be back.
