The food is ok. Ive had two dishes so far. The catfish dinner and now the cajun rice. On a scale of 1 to 10 i gave each dish a 4. It was just average. The rice was oily and very salty. I did not taste any 'cajun' seasoning. I tasted nothing but salt. The fried fish i had a few months earlier was oily and salty as well. I wont buy either dish again. Service is never really 'friendly'. The workers never smile. Im use to small town Texas type of friendly with large smiles and boisterous greetings when you enter. I've dined here on a prior visit to Jackson, me and we decided to visit again during this trip. It was a nice experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and attentive, especially our waitress. We started off with the crab boil which had a nice flavor. The crab was perfectly cooked and seasoned. OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE seafood boil place. this location specifically. great prices, spacious seating & friendly staff. i've been here three times now & it never disappoints. my problem with a lot of seafood boils is that some restaurants over season the boils making it too salty sometimes or overwhelming in flavors. anyways, their boils are amazing & i would recommend to anyone in the area. my first visit i ordered a pound of shrimp with andouille (sausage) & i got the kickin seasoning, with mild spice. everything was perfect. my next visit, i ordered half pound of shrimp & snow crab legs this was even better, not too salty not too spicy but perfect for me. also would recommend the steamed oysters with their house sauce they were delicious. the raw were okay, i've had better but they aren't bad. this will be my go to for a boil from now on :) read more

Sad to say, but probably the worst food I've had in a long time. My wife and I decided to try this place after being on the road all day. The food was simply horrible. The catfish that my wife ordered was slimy, smelly, and inedible. I ordered a seafood bag. Everything in the bag was either undercooked or overcooked. The seafood tasted rancid and the potatoes were still hard. Every seafood place I've ever eaten ate has given you utensils to crack open crab legs - this one did not. When I asked the server for utensils, she brought back plastic ones that could barely cut a potato. When we first arrived, there was no server to seat us. We were told there would be a 10 minute wait, even though we saw only 2 other tables that were seated. The bartender was the only person to help us out and get us seated faster. The server we had did not want to be there, nor offered any assistance when we mentioned that our food was horrible. Her only expression was a mumbled "oh I'm sorry" after handing me the $50 check for the food we did not eat. I hate being this guy, but it was bad enough for me to want to write a review about our experience. read more

My Bff(from Texas) and I decided to try this place instead of another restaurant. The decor is average, the atmosphere is bland- had a person playing the guitar and singing, which was awful! The service was the worst, our server asked us for our order, then returned twice to ask again and our food still came out wrong. He didn't refill our drinks, the food was not tasty and overcooked. For the price this place is not worth it at all. We had to ask for the manager to make a complaint and he assured us it would be taken care of then he disappeared. Another manager came to follow-up and we had to repeat the situation all while our server was standing there like he didn't know what was going on. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST- LESS THAN 1 STAR!!!! I will never go back and I don't look for them to be in business long with this type of service or food. read more

Had a wonderful lunch at a great new spot here off county line road. The atmosphere is amazing and staff great! I highly recommend the "all in" sauce on the seafood, and do yourself a favor and get some gumbo. They seriously are my new favorite gumbo. I believe it better than any I have ever had. read more

Awful experience. I placed a togo order that took for ever and was not ready when I arrived almost an hour later after being told it would be 15 min. I didn't mind waiting, but the order was never in. The manger TRISHA, was rude trying to talk about me to another employee like it was my fault. Luckily the other employees were professional and had enough sense not to ignore her. It was awful the way she talked to me as a customer as well as the employees in front of the customers. It was very disrespectful. I drove 30 minutes and left with nothing. This was my second time here the first was better. I recommend that this establishment get some competent mangers in soon or else it will yet another seafood place shortly. Again, the other employees were apologetic and and understanding and acknowledge that they made an error. Had one of them been the manager that speak and treat people with quality service, it would have been no issue and this comment wouldn't exist. read more

Was told about this spot by the security guard at another restaurant I visited while back in my hometown. If nothing else the prices are UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I got the combo D I believe with an extra half pound of crawfish...all the flavors and spice level hot... came with potatoes and corn.. sausage was extra... my waitress was very attentive and checked on me often ... seafood was good .. sauce was okay... felt it was missing something but overall... great place.. clean... and my Long Island wasn't bad either... would recommend for sure read more

As I write this review, please understand as that this is attempt to make this place better. As a Jackson native, this was indeed the most disappointing experience I've ever had and if you are well traveled, you will understand more and if not, please understand that this is not acceptable for leadership or management can do can do better. So let's start...customer service is terrible. Upon entering the building, there were two young females who appeared to quite clueless on restaurant etiquette. They did not acknowledge my companion and I and avoided eye contact with us while they sort an issue out. We waited patiently for 4 minutes and 47 seconds in the lobby area near the counter. They did not seem to understand their roles and at the last minute looked the written seating diagram. Another female (older), came up and it was later revealed she worked there. She looked at them and did not engage. My companion and I looked puzzled and was about to say who is in charge to then one of the younger females said..."This way." We followed to our seating area. Whew I thought as the first impression to whether we should leave. Next, we were greeted by our server and were given menus. I wanted to reset. He was pleasant. After placing our order we were half crab legs and shrimp and gumbo. As a cook that make shrimp broil (Bay seasoning, minced garlic, lemon butter, sea salt, parsley, and ground pepper with anduille sausage, red potatoes, corn, shrimp (peeled), and lemon) in my spare time, it was upsetting to how bland this meal was for it appeared to been prepared very basic. The potatoes were bland, corn...bland, shrimp bland for it was cooked while the shell was attached, and crab legs good once dipped in butter. Seasoning was not infused and just sprinkled on top. My companion said that this is basic and other places do it better not to mention it myself. While trying to eat, we heard loud unbalanced music being played on Pandora with commercials. Very, very ghetto in my opinion. I had to request for it to be lowered so we could talk! Some of the workers appeared to be all over the place with lack of guidance. I've worked in Jackson as a teenager in this area before leaving Mississippi in 08' after college and it was disappointing to see how things gone downhill with basic customer service and soft skills to add to food in certain areas. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Normally, the food is good. Me, my sister, nieces, and my two daughters went into this restaurant December 12th. One of my daughters had her iPhone with the jojo screen saver. She had throughout her meal. Went to the restaurant. Phone still on the table. We left! Forgot the phone on the table. Apparently our waitress ( I do not know her name) cleaned our table. And now all of a sudden my baby phone is gone. Not even 20+ mins went by, I came back to retrieve the phone. The phone is now out sight out of mind so I asked one of the managers there to let me look at the footage. She went onto the back looked at footage then came up front trying to show me by baby didn't have her phone. Fast forward, I left came back and told her to let me look at the footage myself so she went back there again and FaceTime one of her coworkers to let me look at the footage. And clearly my baby had her phone on that table but somehow at the end I cannot really make out if the waitress took everything off the table and went to the back and STOLE MY CHILD'S PHONE. SADDDD! This place is horrible. A friend and I went for lunch today. We should have known better than going in because there were only 3 cars in the lot at 12 noon. The service was terrible. The guy that was waiting on us barely spoke. The first drink he brought me had a crack half way down the glass. When he brought out the crab crackers they had tape on one of the handles. We were later told that that was to identify where they came from because they were coming up missing. So you can only imagine how many days of seafood juice was soaked into that tape. When he brought out the silverware he was holding it in his hands with no napkins around them. We ordered the snow crab medium spice and when it came out the crab and shrimp were flavorless and the corn tasted like frozen corn from Kroger nuked in the microwave. Whenever she is there please get a cocktail and tip the Bartender she is the best. Just don't change your recipes to Juicy Seafood recipes because I hear y'all are being bought out.
