Visited this location before trying the Flowood location. My grandmother got the Snow Crab Legs bag and I got the King Crab Leg Boil, both in medium spice since it was my first visit. We can pretty early in the day but the service was still slow. But we weren't in a hurry so we stayed patient. For me the medium was like a mild with no real kick to it. So the food tasted seasoned but not spicy. My grandmother didn't seem pleased at the end and when the server asked her she let him know. read more

It is an interesting restaurant to watch the food come out of the kitchen. Big plastic bags all aired up. We got the lunch shrimp basket with onion rings. The shrimp was good, but my friend left hungry. The onion rings are awful, frozen not real ones. I got the tilapia basket with onion rings, The fish was good but the breading was really really heavy. I had to ask for a fork and was brought a plastic little fork. The condiments come in little plastic containers. The place is HUGE but has some awful lights flashing in the ceiling and the music was way to loud. The restroom was clean. Great food but even more awesome personnel! I had the shrimp bag and my husband had the fried catfish and both were excellent. The hush puppies were some of the best I have had in years at a restaurant. Ricky, the manager, took care of us personally because apparently they were short on staff. He was so courteous and attentive. Quita was also very sweet and attentive. In town on business and I love finding a a good seafood place. The food and service was excellent. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful. I enjoyed the King Crab Leg Boil with garlic butter and mild spice that came with a piece of corn and potatoes. It was steaming hot and delicious. They provide you a bib, some gloves (if you want to wear them, although I chose not to) and some wipes and it's on. I've eaten seafood, crab legs, etc since I could remember. This place had by FAR the best crab legs. The service was superb. I had a wonderful and bubbly server named Ty. She was an absolute pleasure and over exceeded any and all expectations while there. The crab legs I had were the best I've ever had in my life! All of the servers/bartenders/hostesses were attentive and caring. General manager, Mr. Ricky, has done an excellent job in his choice of staff and entertainment for his customers. Didn't get it until 20 minutes later and by that time they were at the restaurant. Crab legs were UNDERCOOKED. How do you undercook crab legs for Christ sake? I really enjoyed the Mighty crab in Jackson. The inside of the building was very beautiful with all the crabs and decor. The giant shark over the center bar was lovely. The service was a bit slow as to be expected with a new business just getting started. The food was really good. I tried the juicy special seasoning which is a combination of Cajun, garlic, and lemon pepper mild. The crab legs were the best. They popped right out. The boiled shrimp was fresh and not over cooked. The green mussels were tender and very flavorful. The lobster tail was soft and moist. Not dried out. The blue crabs were a let down. They were dry and didn't have any flavor to them. I'll have to give those a second chance. The worst thing was the crawfish. We asked before we ordered were they fresh or pre-frozen. Trust we know the difference. The waitress said fresh so we ordered two lbs. Sad to say they were pre-frozen and tasted just like freezer burn. We returned them and they took it off our check. Overall I give them a 7/10. But I will try them again. read more
