So the Desi and Joe's Special are essentially the same type of sandwich except that the Desi has egg whites and the bagel is hallowed out a bit, which I guess takes an extra step/ more work, but that's why it costs more, I assume. Anyway, my bagel was not hallowed out at all. And the avocado? Lots of gross pieces. I get a little brown sometimes is inevitable. But huge chunks that could have been removed? Am I asking too much? And listen, I would've called to sort out the issue directly but I cannot find a number for that location anywhere. I used my break to walk there and get food since parking is an issue there and where I work, and I'm not about to walk over there again. The location is new and clean. Metered parking on Pine. I understand that the location recently opened and it was obvious that they are still working out some kinks and inconsistencies at the front. For example, I got a buzzer for my order and my friend didn't. Seemed the woman taking our order was still familiarizing herself with the register and items. I believe she said it was her first day, so I give her grace. She was plenty friendly. But to the staff who make the sandwiches, please pay more attention to the sandwich preparation and details. It's little details like that that can make all the difference for the customer. It will probably be a while til I return unless I'm craving the iced coffee. I think I went for pomegranate and vanilla, both were slightly okay, pomegranate tasted like water with no flavor, not sweet nor did taste like pomegranate lol. The vanilla was unsavory, it was watered down. Didn't taste much like vanilla. The ice cream from Thrifty is way better. We paid 24 for 2 cups! Definitely wasn't worth it. Won't be coming back.
