I worked with Ana and the team to get an initial quote and had all of my questions answered. I had to add a couple items to my quote which was a smooth process . In past moving experiences with other companies I had been nickel and dime'd but 606 Movers did not do that. Day of the pick up, Chris and Irwin kept me updated on their arrival time and showed up ready to work. They were extremely professional and clearly experienced. When they dropped off my items in Chicago they were thoughtful with both my items as well as my new apartments shared spaces. They asked where I would like all of my furniture so I didn't have to move anything later and assembled everything. Chicago apartments could be rather tricky to move into but this was no issue for the 606 Movers team! I couldn't thank them enough for making the move so smooth. read more

This is a wonderful moving company! From the estimate to implementation they were incredibly quick, responsive, and polite. I asked them for a quote on Thursday for a move on Sunday. Since I only had a few days notice I gave them a call to follow up, and they sent me a complete fee breakdown in their estimate, including the total time they expected to take. The prices are very reasonable, and I appreciate the responsiveness in planning the logistics of the move. Our new building management requested a revision to the Insurance (COI) to be added as additional insured at the last minute. I sent 606 an email and gave them a call, not expecting much since this was after their office was closed. However, the president of the company was able to help me out. On the day of the move, they gave me a call two hours early to let me know if I wanted to start earlier, they were ready. I let them know I wanted to keep the scheduled time since I still had to pack, and they were happy to accommodate. They sent a team of three movers. I was moving from one condo to another, and one of the team members walked with me through each building to determine the best place to load/unload the truck. Each piece of furniture they move is secured via shrink wrap and tape as necessary. Only the bedframe needed to be disassembled and reassembled. The movers were very careful and we had no damages during the move. They also provided free wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, which saved us a lot of time packing/unpacking. In the end, the move lasted exactly as long as they had estimated. The staff were polite and friendly the whole time, asking where we wanted to place each box/piece of furniture at the new condo. They also followed all Covid safety precautions (ie: wearing masks and maintaining distance where possible). BUYER BEWARE...this company will nickle and dime ($3 per roll of tape!) you at closing meaning your quoted price is only ~60% of the final bill. While the bulk of the move was done quickly and effectively, the reasons for my lower rating have to do with customer service and pricing. I had informed the booking agent that I could not reserve the freight elevator in my building until 9am, but the movers still showed up at 8am and began charging their hourly rate despite not being able to begin working. Furthermore, many of my items are damaged through the move (nothing major, but in worse shape than they were picked up in). Finally, when it came time to pay, I was overcharged for packing supplies that were not used, when I pointed out that one of the charges was nefarious the movers quickly removed it but then added additional charges that were harder to dispute (excessively charged for boxes that were never used, but harder to dispute charge for extremely high amount of plastic wrap used). All in all, I wouldn't recommend to anyone else, there are comparable moving companies that have more transparent fee structures in this city. Try those others! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about 606 Movers. I can't recommend 606 Movers enough! They're truly a wonderful small business run by people who care about my belongings and are very respectful! They're efficient, friendly, and fairly priced! They are EXCELLENT! From the moment I filled out an online request for a quote and submitted it, there was prompt friendly follow up. I didn't fully fill out the quote request before hitting submit, but Ana called me to follow up and to let me know that she needed some details to give me an accurate quote. I told her I would have to redo the quote after I figured out the details of items being moved. She was friendly and helpful, but not pushy! This was a PLUS! Quote request completed and submitted. Ana provided me with a quote quickly and it was very reasonable. We booked 606 Movers for the move and it all went smoothly. She gave us a window of time to expect her crew. They showed up within that time frame and were so careful with everything. The men were careful with our belongings, wrapping things well, and moved them carefully. There wasn't anything fragile, but they treated our belongings as if they were. They wore masks, maintained distance from each other and from us, covered the areas they were walking on with clean blankets so they didn't track in any dirt. After a bad experience with another company I was skeptical of hiring "professional" movers again. I'm glad I chose this company. My experience with 606 Movers has been nothing short of amazing. The Team (José, Jefferson, and Manola) was amazing. They arrived early, assessed the invemtory, and got to work. I was moving alone and very stressed but they just started grabbing things, breaking down furniture, wrapping breakables and moving with no complaints! They were so professional. They were able to complete a move on a 2bed 2bath house (disassemble several items, wrap mirrors, etc, transport to a new city an 1 hour and 15 minutes away, and unload (reassemble, unwrap, put together the items they broke down)) in 5 hours. Jose and crew did an EXCELLENT job with our recent move! All furniture was packaged carefully and unwrapped/placed in desired rooms. The most impressive part was that although we tried to plan ahead - we had a substantial amount of packing still remaining when the movers arrived (whoops!). Jose and his team didn't bat an eye and took on the challenge of packing the things into boxes and hauling them out. They were quick, efficient, friendly, and kept my belongings safe. I used them a year ago, during covid and found them to be quite amazing. So I used them again this month, May 2021....and they blew me away. I thought moving services didn't get any better but they proved me wrong. Angelica scheduled my move and communicated flawlessly in preparation for my move. We hired 606 to pack up all of my parents condo belongings and move them into assisted living this August. The movers were extremely professional & polite and friendly. My parents are pack rats so I was very concerned that they might not get everything packed in one day, but 606 sent four men who worked nonstop and had everything packed in about 5.5 hours. I was amazed at not only their speed but that they took very good care with my parents belongings. The next day they came back for the move. We had a hiccup with the condo freight elevator not working and the crew didn't complain and still managed to get everything into the moving truck within a couple of hours. When we arrived to the assisted living place, it was hot and the crew had a long distance from the truck into the building. They were constantly professionals. I would have been complaining but they didn't. They helped place all the furniture for me, put the bed frames back together, and really made sure I was happy with where items and boxes were placed. And they were very diligent about keeping their masks on throughout the packing day and move day. My parents have moved countless times across the country and my mom told me the other day this was the first move she ever had without one single broken item. What can I say. They were fantastic. They arrived early, finished as per their estimate. They also dropped off a refrigerator to my cousin's house en route. To my great satisfaction they finished ahead of time, at a cost slightly below estimate. They were careful with my belongings, especially taking thing apart, and reassembling some pieces. Jose, Juan, Christian, and Isaiah (I hope I got all of the names right?) made quick work of moving me out of my 2 bedroom and into a U Pack trailer. The whole process took less than 3 hours, while it took me and my friends closer to 7 hours when we did it ourselves with less stuff. Because 606 knows what they're doing, they were able to reduce my trailer cost by packing everything in 6 feet of space (I reserved 13 feet). 606 even caught that we were missing a crucial piece for loading the trailer (U Pack's fault), saving me from potential hundreds of dollars in damaged stuff. My husband and I recently bought a condo after having rented in Chicago for 3 years, and we were looking for a local company to do our move. When I saw that 606 Movers was highly rated and also woman owned, I immediately reached out for a quote. Shortly after filling out the online forms, Ana reached out to us to schedule the move. One of the pain points of moving into our last apartment was our couch that was almost too big to get into the apartment. We had worked it out with our building maintenance to be on hand during the move to make a modification to the stairs to give the movers a little room. Ana originally let us know that the movers would arrive a little bit ahead of schedule, but because we needed to coordinate with the building maintenance, Ana was able to delay the start until we were ready. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in touch with our building maintenance that day anyway, but the movers that came were able to get the couch out of the building safely without any damage to the common areas. I was so happy to see that couch make it out of the building. The movers were really careful with all of our belongings, and the move went very quickly. They were also able to throw out some furniture that we no longer needed. I would definitely use them again if we decide to move in the future. read more
